A list of puns related to "Smart Roadster"
Saw that some designs got posted online about a potential one in 2025 and wanted to know everyone's opinion. It's proposed to be electric and hopefully it'll be way faster than the original.
Had to leave by passenger seat. Looks like the cable inside the door handle snapped or broke because feels really loose, the door is locked but i canβt open it from inside or outside to access the screws to see the inside by removing any of the door panels. Any sugestion on how to open it ?
Thanks for the help.
Hello - Today I found a 2013 Mini Roadster for $6,000. It has 108,000 miles on it so I'm worried I'm going to pay a ton of money to get it fixed in the near future. I wanted a fun car to get around and don't drive a ton. I plan to just have it for a few more years at best but I am wondering if this is a smart purchase. Any advice?
He built a toodles machine that seems to have infinite storage space for its size. He should be working for NASA instead of trying to teach goofy's idiot self how to count to 5 every episode.
So after toying with the idea of an mx5 for a while, I'm now leaning more towards a smart roadster coupe.
Should I, shouldn't I?????
Help please
So I've been looking into replacing my old car (an 106 Rallye) for the last couple of months and I just can't find anything decent on a budget.
My "needs" are the following: -It must be fun to drive -It must be cheap (cheap-ish) to maintain -It must not have an engine bigger than 1.6L (due to the laws and regulations in my county) -I prefer coupe cars (3 doors) -Must be under 10k β¬ (just because there'll be some initial repair costs, I don't think I'll find a perfect working car on my budget)
Cars I've considered (and are : VW Scirocco TSi 1.4 Mini Cooper S 1.6 Audi TT (I know it's 1.8 but still fun car) BMW Z3 Facelift (Again, 1.7 but what a car) Mazda MX-5 1.6 Toyota MR2 ZZ2 swapped 1.6
A week ago however, when I went to a car lot to look a car I saw on an advert and I stumbled across a Smart Roadster Coupe. It had 80k km registered on its dash, was on sale for 4.8k β¬. The dash (made from plastic mostly) was ready to fall apart, but the hardtop roof offered and the overall design of the car kinda grew into me the moment I saw it standing there.
It's tiny 0.7 engine produces 81bhp and can be upgraded easily to produce 100bph if I do desire with the brabus package offered from brabus themselves. The automatic transmission on the car is annoying to put it gently but there are updates available from smart themselves to make it faster (people are saying that it's kind of lagging when it comes to changing gears)
When I looked into the car, the only problem was that parts are limited for this car, but other than that I think it ticks every need I have.
Just wanted to know from you all what's your opinion on the small smart car. I know, it's not the fastest but it looks good-ish on paper (definitely stands out from a design perspective)
I have been looking for a Smart Roadster for about 6 months now. Though they are not sensible cars, something about them just suddenly made sense to me. I've always wanted a little, agile, fun convertible and am definitely on the "drive a slow car fast" team.
MX-5/Miata seems like the obvious answer, but the ones in my price range are NAs and NBs. These are gorgeous cars, but when I have gone to test drive them, I've found my knee jammed solidly between steering wheel and doorskin as soon as I close the door. My legs are simply too long to be comfortable. Yet, when I slotted into my first Roadster (allegedly built to accommodate the 6'7" tall boss of Smart) it just worked.
Shopping so far:
2004 for $9000 with 118,000km. Champagne body, silver tridion, cloth seats - Up on stilts at a dealer. I mainly looked at it to see if I really did fit comfortably: yes. Never drove this one. Opened the roof fine, but the roof jammed on closing. Said "thank you but good bye".
2003 for $10,000 with 80,000km. Black body, silver tridion, leather seats - Private sale. Made the 350km round trip to test drive a really sweet-looking Roadster. Absolute peach of a car in primo condition. Unfortunately, I was going on holiday shortly after the test drive so couldn't complete the purchase. Sadly, it was sold by the time I got home. Spoke to the mechanic of the man who was offering it for sale: the mechanic is convinced the Roadster is a classic in waiting and that prices are heading towards $15,000. I am skeptical of this, and yet...
2006 for $15,000 (very negotiable) with 85,000km. Black body, black tridion, leather seats, OEM three-spoke wheels - Private sale. Inspecting and test driving this tomorrow. I think the price is too high, but it also looks like a nice car in the right colour combo. Will report back...
