A list of puns related to "Second Industrial Revolution"
Let's presume and just say a scientist discovered how to harness the power from nuclear energy when the second industrial revolution kicked off. So in 1870 the world has nuclear power plants being created, Edison is harnessing it, and Ford uses this to eventually make a cheap electric car for the masses.
What happens to the world? What changes? Is this even possible?

EDIT 1: G'nite y'all! Will wrap up the rest tomorrow morning. Much love!
EDIT 2: Good morrow, to you all! I will take the rest of the morning to finish up the questions that came in overnight.
The history of ideologies is very fascinating to me and I'd like to read up on some proto-Anarchist societies.
A roleplaying game, called Blades in the Dark, describes the imaginary city of Doskvol as follows:
> Imagine a world like ours during the second industrial revolution of the 1870sβthere are trains, steam-boats, printing presses, simple electrical technology, carriages, and the black smog of chimney smoke everywhere. Doskvol is something like a mashup of Venice, London, and Prague. Itβs crowded with row-houses, twisting streets, and criss-crossed with hundreds of little waterways and bridges.
What was the daily life in these cities at that time? Any pointers to resources would be greatly appreciated.
I know that there are quite a few similarities merging the two together but, from what I understand, there are also many differences as well. What would you consider some of the most significant of these differences? How would you describe the first wave? How would you describe the second wave? Iβm just clearing up some confusions in my head about the two and would love your opinions!
I don't want to try to speak for everybody since bodies and lives are different and all, but I'd hazard most of the women I know could not do this for reasons that have nothing to do with willpower. How did this work, exactly?
EDIT: Sorry, guess I was too vague. I'm talking about urination, defecation, menstruation, etc. All of it. Was tgere any restroom access, even in an emergency? What if employees were sick; presumably they'd still be expected to work, right? What menstrual products were available at the time and how long did they last? Etc
