[IIL] Arctic Monkeys - particularly the first three albums - The New Abnormal and Is This It by The Strokes, Rated R and Songs For The Deaf by Queens Of The Stone Age, Twin Fantasy (2018) by Car Seat Headrest [WEWIL?]
As the title says. Sorry if this is a very odd post, that's basically just a grab bag of some of my favourite albums of all time scrunched into one. Anything that'd relate to any of those would be super nice, preferably not by an artist that I've already mentioned.

Continuative Songs on The Smithβs βThe Queen is Deadβ and The Stone Rosesβs self titled album
Hi everyone,
I have a very specific question/wondering in regards to The Smithβs βThe Queen is Deadβ and the Stone Rosesβs self titled album, specifically tracks 3 and 4 back to back. Sorry for my terminology and lack of clear communication in my post, itβs kind of a weird question and I donβt really know the best way to describe it.
On βThe Queen is Deadβ the songs are βI know Itβs Overβ followed by βNever Had No One Ever.β
On The Stone Roses album the songs are βWaterfallβ followed by βDonβt Stop.β
On each of these albums, track 3 sounds almost exactly like track 4 - same style in terms of tempo, similar melodies, similar instrumentation. βNever Had No One Everβ sounds like a continuation of βI know Itβs Overβ and βDonβt Stopβ sounds like a continuation of βWaterfall.β So much so that when Iβm listening to these terrific albums, I usually skip track 4 because they are basically just an extension of the previous track.
Just to be clear, Iβm not comparing the songs between albums, I want to compare tracks 3 and 4 within the albums and then draw a link between the two.
First off: does anyone else agree with this assessment that these songs sound similar?
My question is this: since they were both from Manchester and The Stone Roses were influenced by The Smiths, was this song continuation intentional? Were The Stone Roses paying homage to The Smiths by putting continuous songs back to back? Let me know if you guys have any thoughts on this or if Iβm totally off the mark.
Thanks.
