I'm all Yang Gang and I appreciate the enthusiasm everyone has. This sub kept the spirit alive through thick and thin and we are just starting to see Andrew blossom.
As Yang breaks into the mainstream, more visitors from other candidate camps will be stopping by to interact and it's vitally important for us to be respectful.
I'm seeing more posts and comments lately trashing other candidates and supporters. Yang is friends with all the candidates and he would never talk down on someone for supporting someone else!
Our campaign slogan is Humanity First. The other candidates and their supporters are human beings with their own sets of concerns for the world. Trash talking to boost our preferred candidate is a prime example of closed mindedness.
This sub isn't some closed off chatroom. Yang's team puts r/YangForPresidentHQ on their official fliers. We are part of the campaign and when we talk badly about others, we make Andrew look bad.
Think about this...
If Andrew met with an undecided voter and he sent him to our subreddit, would they be impressed with what they see? I'd say mostly Yes, but I wish it was all Yes.
Negative posts and criticizing people for supporting other candidates is not what Yang would do. Our man is about positivity, unity, and solutions. Everyone should be welcome from left and right. Even if they disagree, if the take away from this sub is that we care about our country and believe in a better future, then it's a win.
What we present here matters. So please stop if you're contributing to the negativity and if you see it, call it out. We're better than this.
It's OK to have fun and it's OK to mention other candidates, but before you click that submit button, ask yourself if Andrew would post the same thing if he were in your shoes.
This place should be safe for the chief to send people to while he's hard at work on the campaign trail.
