Where to find pigeon peas?

Hey y'all, I have a Carribean recipe that calls for pigeon peas. Publix used to carry crowder peas which were close enough but haven't seen them there in months. Anyone know a store that carries Carribean items or just this specific one?

Moringa / pigeon pea - planting with annuals?

As both these species have taproots as opposed to a predominantly lateral root system, is it safe to say that interplanting these with vegetable crops shouldn't pose a big nutrient/moisture competition issue?

There will mostly be pigeon pea and only one or two moringa, which would be kept to a smaller size (3m height - 10ft). The soil is topsoil for 8 inches, then clay below - which is on a slight slope (waterlogging won't be an issue). The soil is protected with a woodchip barrier.

Reason i'm doing this as i'm in a 9B climate and planting these will give some dappled shade on 40degC (104F) that I get in summer that knocks some of my crops around, which are currently in full open sun for 8+ hours a day. I can chop/drop as i please to control the shade factor.

Edit: I'm only on a suburban plot. Growing space is approx 100sq m (110sq yards)

Gold to the person who has the closest guess of how many pigeon peas in my champagne glass.

Here we go, I remembered the photo this time! :D

One guess per person. Prize in 24 hours.

#EDIT The answer was 546

And the winner is /u/TheresAnEnzyme4That with a guess of 551

Tricky shape to the glass as the peas went a little down into the stem and it was not level on top. Great guesses everyone, thanks for playing.

(Any Indians here) What is the difference b/w green pigeon pea vs green pea (matar)?

So I'm trying to make this curry from Vahchef - VahRehVah exactly at 2:54 he called the pea in his hand raw sambar dal. I've tried searching it on google & what I got is a yellow split dal & that's nothing like what he has & what he has is [Green in colour] (https://i.imgur.com/EYvWshI.png) so on Wikipedia page I got to know that the green one is raw immature pigeon pea.

so now the question is where to buy this thing? I've tried the grocery store & the vegetable store in my area they are saying this is green pea which is matar but the internet says there is no relation b/w the two? so please help me guys!

P.S. Yes I have tried to buy this on the internet but there is no seller!!

Edit: found it guys Thankyou For all the help!
