Don't know how to ask, so I'll just jump in. Recently found out about the Bear Lodge National Historic Landmark name request for what is now called Devils Tower and the shut down by WY representatives. Would the community still allow outsiders to visit the monument, if the designation was changed?
Also would the community be willing to have others help market the name change to show representatives and law makers the fallacy of their views. They make an overt assumption that this would hurt tourism and hurt the communities around this area. I am sure this is false but was wondering what the Native American community thinks of all this?
