Midgard Puns

As the title says I need a little help, as I don't understand why a company would just stop making copies of a game. I really wanted the Jarl's edition that has everything, but I can't find that anywhere. Figured maybe I could find the regular game and the expansion but yet again no website have them in stock.

Is this normal in this industry? if you don't buy the Kickstarter you will never get to play the game?

I know there is a new version of the game coming out, where is the best place to go about purchasing the kickstarter set?

So last night I had this idea of playing a giant Midgard map and seeing how fast I can get 10k food, gold, and wood, all improvements, all settlements, and build all buildings. I chose Midgard because it has fish all around the island and I played as Isis because of the cheaper improvements. The first time I got 31 minutes then got that down to around 28:15 after a few tries. I think I can get it to around 25 or 26 if I limit how much villagers walk and build the right amount of fishing ships so I don't go too far over 10k food. If anyone else has a half hour to waste I'd be curious how quickly you can max out. Or if you think this is a stupid idea I'd like to hear that too 😂

The part I’m talking about is where Melsa chases you around and one shots your unit if you touch her. I can effectively dodge Melsa now, but I figured that you’re supposed to sit and wait in the one spot where there is no tornado till the wind dies down. But for some reason the aoe wind pushing mechanic still pushes me from the safe zone INTO the tornadoes, which one shot my units. It’s really bs because it sometimes won’t push your units and other times it will, no matter if you’re in the safe zone or not. The only way I know how to for sure avoid the skill is by breaking as he starts the skill. I’ve been doing this for his first attempt in most of my runs. However, is there another way to dodge it besides breaking when Midgard starts the skill? I’ve been trying to beat Masters and I always die on this part or the repeat (he does this skill more than once)

So if Ragnarök started right now and the world was dying and everyone was fighting could those who didn't die immediately that had weapons theoretically join the fight? this question has been bugging me all night so pls try to answer

Over the holidays we played a few games of Champions with dark mountains and Valhalla. Games took forever with 4 people and having to roll each combat one at a time. Anyone have suggestions how to speed up the game? I don't see how you can make rolling faster since you have to go 1 at a time in case someone wants to buy a Valhalla reward

I'm Looking for an additional player for our year plus ongoing Midgard Campaign set in the Blood Kingdom of the Greater Duchy of Morgau.

Darkness and rolling mists start to spread further and further from the Grand Duchy of Morgau. Whispers of the rise of worshiping the blood maiden Marena within the surrounding city/states and duchy's. Increasing border skirmishes involving Vampires, the Ghoul Imperium, and the evil Dwarves of the Black Canton. Will Midgard be overrun and engulfed in the oncoming storm, led by the Blood Kingdom? Will its people be enslaved and used for food? Is there anyone who might uncover this plot and stop this from happening? Are there Heroes out there to take up this task? Is that YOU?

Hello adventurers! How do you connect your Midgard to the D&D Multiverse? Like if a spell lets you travel between planes and such.

I thought I might use the classical multiverse but add the planes from the Midgard world book, like if the typical ones are always there for every planet while those from Midgard have a special connection to only Midgard.

Alternatively Midgard could be completely separated (like Eberron) but some creatures (aberrations) would not have a logical home then anymore, except if you stuff them into the few Midgard planes somehow.

Spoilers for 2018's God of war

TL;DR: Loki already existed once in the Norse realm. Upon learning of the prophecy of Ragnarok, the end of himself and the rest of the gods, Odin hunted down the one responsible for the start of Ragnarok, Loki. He killed him, but prophecies are not so easily foiled, and Loki is reincarnated as Atreus, son of Kratos and Faye the Giant.

The Theory:

The set-up:

The Aesir have a problem. The end of time is prophesized and at its core is Loki, son of Laufey, the giant. So they tracked down the trickster god and killed him. Simple right, problem solved. But nothing is that simple when it comes to prophecies. Laufey has another son, Atreus, and this time, he is protected by a tattooed new god wielding the Leviathan Axe. Ragnarok, unlike a particular purple villain, is inevitable. Even if Odin kills Loki, the cycle starts again, and Loki is reborn. This time when Faye is going to make sure it sticks. This time she brought a ringer, the proven god killer Kratos.

Why it works:

Many people believe that God of war Ragnorak may include time travel, but I disagree. I believe that Midgard and the Aesir are the way they are because Loki was already in the world but killed by Odin before he could kill Baldur and start Ragnarok. but…. The prophecy did not change.

Extreme times call for extreme measures. Odin razes Midgard. The people were killed, the castles shattered. Like the biblical king Herod chasing the Messiah, Odin unleashes death on the realms hoping to change his fate, but Loki is reborn. This is why Baldur shows up to find Faye in the first game. He is looking for Loki now that the protective shield is down.

Another clue to this is the apparent absence of Loki in the myth and histories of this world. Almost as if a vengeful Odin erased him. There are other clues. One of which is the world serpent Jormungandr knows Atreus and protects him. In Norse myth, Loki is the father of Jormungandr. Jormungandr also despises the Aesir and seeks to destroy them, which could be revenge for killing his father, Loki.

Faye has also prepared the way for Loki’s success this time around. A step-by-step guide around the world, recruiting a Patheon killer from Greece and the Leviathan axe. All tools that Loki will need to take down the Norse Aesir.

TYR: The last piece of the puzzle

The last piece of this puzzle is Tyr. I believe that Tyr was a friend to Loki before his untimely death at the hands of Odin. Tyr

Is it like the hero handbook is like Xanathar's where it mainly focuses on subclasses and stuff and the others are like Volo's focusing on races? I am trying to get the core rulebooks I have the Creature Codex, and Tome of Beasts 1&2 and just got the Midgard Worldbook but I am confused by the others because I don't want to spend my money and get the same stuff I already have because I am thinking about buying the heroes handbook first and I don't want to buy the others and find out that they just have what's in the heroes handbook... Help is very much appreciated thank you

Maybe I missed something, but is there any universal reason why the overarching galaxy ignores Earth? Excluding the times we’ve seen Aliens crash there, visit incognito style, settle there or straight up invade/defend Earth during its crucial battles galactic battles, why does the Galaxy ignore earth? You’d think that similar to other planets we’ve seen aliens would regularly travel, establish trade and such. Any reason for this?
