Middle Colonies Puns

Does that mean that the Rings have not yet been forged?

In the books, at the time of Palantir and Miriel, the Numenoreans already had colonies in Middle-earth. Galadriel could have gone to the colonies to ask for help, and even those colonies could have been attacked by Orcs.

In The Hobbit films she doesn't need a sword because she has the Ring. It would be nice to know if when Galadriel fights against the Numenorean guards (FoF last leak) she uses the sword or the Ring. If she uses the Ring, I don't think she would be captured so easily.

There were multiple maps and if I remember right it played like a turn based rpg maybe? You could fight other insects such as grass hoppers or beetles. Some of the maps Included inside of a house and a picnic. I remember there being a free trial or 2-3 maps then you had to pay for the rest of the game.

I am going to have to start waiting until a series is complete before I even start watching. Colony was another example of getting invested in a show and having it cancelled out from under me. I didn't do any research before starting, because I didn't want any spoilers....but now that I finished binging 3 seasons I find out it was cancelled.

Nothing is more annoying than seeing something just unfinished and dropped. Same thing with Mindhunter, which I binged a few months ago. I'm tired of getting into a show and then just having it cancelled in the middle of the story.

HIGHCOM has sent a priority mission to you on January 1st, 2540 to assemble a fleet and re-take an outer colony world. Due to several other operations conducted by the UNSC, you are limited as to how much firepower you can bring to the outer colony world. Intel has shown that the planet is being patrolled by a small covenant battlegroup consisting of 4 ccs-class battlecruisers, 3 sdv-class heavy corvettes, 1 cpv-class destroyer, and a cas-class assault carrier. Your primary objective is the space battle at hand. The ground battle will be coordinated by a separate party. The estimated time for holding the planet would be 5 days before you can retreat.

What resources will you bring with you for this mission and how will you approach this battle under given circumstances and current knowledge of the timeline during that time of war? Also, be reasonable.

EDIT:-coordinate this mission as if "it goes to plan" and what you want to achieve ie: I want to eliminate all covenant ships so they may not retreat otherwise I will be fighting a second wave which will be too much for me given my current condition. You don't have to be all technical, just get on to the main idea (like: I will have some of my ships placed here to prevent the covenant from retreating and the rest over here).-Also You are free to bring a whole fleet, by reasonable I mean don't bring 3 punics, 3 epochs, 18 cruisers, and 4 dozen frigates as that is absurd and too big under given circumstances. Remember! This was during the middle of the war during 2540, the battle for psi serpentis took place in 2543 which had vessels in the hundreds. SO the UNSC would still have a large fleet at this time.

I've been doing a watch through of TNG and there are tons of episodes based on these colonists who go to far flung worlds. Why would anyone be a colonist when you could just stay on Earth or any other already developed planet and use replicators to get whatever you want and live a good life? War, disease, poverty, racism, etc. have all been eliminated too.

I guess land would eventually become scarce but even today most of the world's population live in cities and we don't have tons of people moving out to the sticks just to get their own house and backyard.

It feels like a leftover from when Star Trek was supposed to be a Western in space. And it does make for good stories.
