A list of puns related to "Maximum transmission unit"
I think it's at 1492 right now. I need it to be 1500. What do?
Hello All,
Firstly, I apologize if this isn't the right place to post this. But I figured that other individuals in this sub have units similar to mine and might have any advice on my situation.
I live in a duplex. There is a family living in the basement and a family upstairs. Both units share the same HVAC system.
Whenever the downstairs family cooks food, there is this heavy cooking air (think the air after frying something) that makes its way upstairs once their kitchen fan has been turned off.
I don't mind the smell but the heavyness of this cooking air is starting to bother me. As a first step, I am going to ask the downstairs family to keep their fan running a little while after they finish cooking. But, of course, their diligence in doing this is entirely up to them.
Are there any other options that we can take? I was looking at air purifiers to puchase because I have read that they can remove cooking smells from the air. Another attempt is purchasing an air mover and just running that with the windows open to quickly move fresh air in and cooking air out. But I am not sure how effective either of these options is going to be.
Any other tips would be appreciated! Thank you!
My intake person mentioned they cover these. I don't have high needs, but it would be good to get what I need covered since my money will already be stretched. She said when I fill in the form they need to know how many I need and they would use that to set a maximum ceiling, but what are they basing it on? Because a $0.50 junk product is a lot different than a $2 "good" product... If I ask for what I typically use and they cost more than what each unit is allocated, then I won't have them covered. So what I'm asking is, how much $ per unit do they cover? So I can ask for the right number of units to cover the $$$ limit I need. Thank you. :)
Has anyone done the math on this? If I want to give as much blood, plasma, and platelets as possible, whatβs the most I could possibly give in a year?
"Side effects while not at maximum output include greatly decreased size and mass, major physiological changes, as well as dissociative identity disorders β which is probably why your men have become so fond of these.. humans, Commander," the alien scientist cautioned.
Nokia and Vodafone Turkey achieve maximum optical transmission capacity
Companies prove that capacity carried over a single channel in the live optical network can be improved by 150%, and the capacity per fiber can be increased up to 70 Terabits per second.
9 September 2021
Espoo, Finland β Nokia today announced it has broken new ground with Vodafone Turkey with a regional demonstration of a 1Tb/s (terabit per second) per channel coherent transmission over its live optical network. The companies proved a capacity increase of 150% over a single channel coherent transmission, and the ability to scale network capacity up to 70Tb/s per fiber. This capacity milestone is part of an ongoing modernization effort with Nokia to future-proof Vodafone Turkeyβs optical architecture.
Increasing the speed of its optical network is key to providing maximum capacity for the ever-increasing data demands of Vodafone Turkeyβs customers. This optical test builds upon an earlier trial conducted by Nokia and Vodafone Turkey that validated a 1Tb/s clear channel IP router interface, further preparing the operatorβs network for the future.
The optical test showcased 1Tb/s capacity over 130 GHz bandwidth without any errors on Vodafone Turkeyβs live optical network between its data centers. The trial was conducted over the operatorβs in-service optical network, based on Nokiaβs leading-edge wavelength routing technolgy, which includes its high performance, non-blocking CDC-F ROADM optical switch architecture. Supporting operation over C+L bands, Nokiaβs optical line system also enables a doubling of the total fiber capacity of Vodafone Turkeyβs network.
Also used was Nokiaβs photonic service engine (PSE) technology, providing maximum performance and spectral efficiency. The Nokia PSE coherent optics are deployed in Vodafone Turkeyβs network using the 1830 PSI-M (Photonic Service Interconnect-Modular) compact modular optical networking platform, optimized for data center interconnect applications over metro, regional and long-haul distances.
Thibaud Rerolle, CTO at Vodafone Turkey, said: βAt Vodafone Turkey, we are committed to using next generation technology to provide the most convenient services to our customers β uninterrupted and reliably. Our fiber optic backbone is an important step on the way to 5G and, with Nokia, we continue to equip our optical network with the latest technologies and innovations for our services today and in the future."

I tried requesting from my counselor my first quarter here through, and they declined because it wasnβt allowed for students of their first quarter to go over 20 units (I wasnβt aware this was a rule). I just got accepted as a double major and I am really looking forward to taking more classes but this would also mean going over the unit maximum.
After the first time I was declined, Iβm truthfully a little nervous to request from that counselor again because I donβt want to be turned down a second time. I wanted to ask UCI students that have gone over the unit maximum: was it something that just took an email and you were confirmed,,, or did it have to take some more back-and-forth convincing before your counselors allowed you to go over?
For context, I am in the school of Humanities
The short version: 66,350 Vis (unless my math is wrong)
While Gumi is obviously still working out exactly what they are doing with these global banners, I do feel the current banner is a likely to reappear for 100 cost units, 21 pull pity + Global medals
So you've dumped the 42K to pity, now what? 1000 shards to go! Well, thats not true actually. You only need 934 shards, because that will give you 334 soul medals which will cover the remaining mindspheres. Still...934 is a lot.
If on your way to pity you had the WORST possible luck (20 pulls of 9 blue one yellow and the final pull 9 blue 1 UR) you have 309 Stars. 300 Stars gets you 100 shards
You also have 210 fest medals. That can get you another 100 shards (and 110 shards of anything else you want)
Then the usual suspects: 120 Bingo. 70 Gil Summon. 40 Login. 15 MA Quest.
And thats 445 of that 934. 489 left! And at 50 Vis per shard thats 24.45K
Of course if you want to spend, 8 bucks knocks 4K off that total. Each week you put Elena in the barracks knocks off another 700. Having better but not yet average pull luck would save you another 1K (at bad exchange rate on stars). Using stars and soul medals acquired beforehand would help too (mindspheres can be gotten while Ex-ing other units, and with friend + guild medals)
To put this in perspective, in the dark days of WOTV we were advised to have 60K on hand just to have a reasonable chance at pulling the units
Edit: Thanks Terrariya for the correction on MA Quest
You can bring two armies with you but Iβm wondering if you could increase it at all for example 3 armies etc. I can play in multiplayer with 4v4 no problem. Iβm pretty that this is literally impossible to do but doesnβt hurt to ask.
Edit - I figured it out. I changed the save file max limit to whatever I wanted. I put 50 units per army LOL.
My PC specs:
Graphics: GTX 1050 Ti.
CPU: Core i5-10400F.
RAM: 8GB.
Note, that the city housing authorities cannot cite property owner for compliance issues, and cannot demand access for testing,
because older units are exempt from more recent sound transmission codes.
Under what circumstances, can a court order this property owner to grant concurrent access to both units, for acoustical testing?
I use a SD for a genetic disorder and have for a few years now. He performs multiple tasks, but primarily retrieving dropped items/holding items and retrieving medication. We needed to find housing and we have 2 additional pets, so we chose a pet friendly rental (sublease). We are now being told that we canβt bring all three animals (2 pets/1 SD) after we have signed an agreement to take over responsibility from prior lease holders because they have a 2 pet maximum. I wrote responding that my SD is not a pet and is used for my disability (Iβm on SSDI and use a placard and occasional mobility devices as needed- which they are aware of). Iβve not had issues with prior rentals so Iβm a bit in the dark here. I did respond that I am asking for a reasonable accommodation.
My new primary in the state (VA) cannot write a letter due to the hospital systems policy. I have reached out to one of my specialist but they have only seen me once. I am waiting to hear back. Are there other documentation routes I can take? I may be able to contact my doctor before I moved, but I was homeless for almost a year, so it has been almost a year and a half since I was in their care.
Much help appreciated.
Hi all
I am a macro photographer who takes photographs mainly using a flash to illuminate my subject. In this line of photography as with most the quality of your light is key to the quality of your photographs.
Here is the flash I currently use
However with macro there are few more details which also matter and one of those is the "speed" of your light, when a subject is magnified by the macro lens small movements are also magnified and this leads to image blur and a loss of detail due to unavoidable hand shake, using a tripod in the field is impractical due to the requirement to move the camera in tiny adjustments for focus combined with the subjects ability to fly/hop away at any time.
Thus the speed of your flash matters, the best approach using currently available off the shelf tech is to use a powerful camera flash light because camera flashes actually vary intensity by reducing the on time, the more powerful the flash the faster the light is on for at the same output. You can further improve things by moving the flash closer to subject to reduce light fall off due to the inverse square law. Because you are using a small aperture and a low ISO all of the light comes from the flash so the exposure time is the flash "on" time.
The problem with these methods is that the light ends up "harsh" and "hard" i.e. with ugly specular highlights. Normal portrait photographers solve these issues by doing things like bouncing the flash off reflectors or using huge umbrellas/softboxes they dial up the power to compensate but this reduces the time on for the flash too much for macro, also we can't just bounce the flash because we are outside often with no surface to bounce the light off, we need the light hit the subject directly.
So at the cutting edge of macro photography of live active subjects once you have the best lens and a powerful flash where you mount it close to the subject, the place to improve is your quality of light ideally you need direct diffuse light. There is a lot of confusion about the differences between soft and diffuse light and not even most macro photographers really understand the difference. This video helps and was certainly a bit of revelation to me.
