Currently the only way to check if your comment will look like how you want it to, is to post it and then if it's wrong edit the comment. This would easily be fixed with a preview feature.

Good Evening r/vc! Itβs a new year and that means new need for space within my collection! As much as it hurts this time around, I am going to post some of my high-value and autographed records to include in this sale. Looking to thin out the collection by putting back on sale some reasonably priced as well as hard-to-find selections from the vault with a mix of mostly Hip-Hop and Alternative Rock/Indie Rock Selections. Look for the BUNDLE OFFERS which will be made available if purchasing multiple records by the same artist.
**Special Promotion: FREE 7β 45 Record for any orders over $50 (pre-shipping) LIMITED SUPPLY**
As mentioned above I will ship out Monday at the earliest. Will mark down on combined offers or bundle priced specials. I can fit up to 3 LPs per mailer
**(please note: at your own risk if requesting 3 per mailer, I would personally recommend paying for the second mailer after 2 to protect your vinyl and guarantee a safer shipment)
List is organized by Artist & Genre. Once offer is made, the sale list will be updated to [PENDING]. Completed Sales will be marked as [SOLD]. Hopefully there is something below you might enjoy and I am always happy to hear the any stories that have to do with your reason for purchasing. π I've been collecting some of these records as early as 2012 and have been well tak

You can check it out at https://github.com/MDeiml/tree-sitter-markdown. It's not really 100% done yet, but still definitely better than the builtin markdown highlighting. To use it with neovim, update nvim-treesitter and then run :TSInstall markdown
.
Just letting people here know, since I would love this to be supported in colorschemes and see what plugin creators can do with it.
I made a program I call tmd (for terminal markdown), that provides an easy way to style text in UNIX-like terminal emulators. You can see the project here.
It, for example, renders this file (https://i.imgur.com/apvQYif.png) like this (https://i.imgur.com/31S88Gf.png). The blinking text isn't there 'cause I took a screenshot during the invisible part, and the hidden text is there because of my terminal settings.
I made this mostly for personal use 'cause I couldn't find anything to easily style terminal text, but I figured I would share!
I didn't really see an easy way of styling text in the terminal, even though terminal emulators support quite a few styles, so I made a little language to make it easier.
It renders a file like this like this.
I also made a post about this on r/C_Programming: https://www.reddit.com/r/C_Programming/comments/rrw4jj/i_made_a_markdownlike_language_for_the_terminal/
Firstly, credit goes to u/Region-Formal for all of this data. See here, here, and here

Forgive me if this is a simple/silly question but I'd like to know before going further down the LaTeX rabbit hole.
Say I wanted to create an encyclopedic document on apples. I have dozens of folders on individual apple varieties which contains a markdown file on the apple variety and images/diagrams. Each markdown file is structured the same way with headings and subheadings with information like name, location, description, etc.
Could I then create a LaTeX document that I have formated to my liking which pulls text and images from the markdown files? If that makes sense.
Hi folks, I am looking for a work flow to add pdf annotations to markdown files in vim. I would be interested in extracting all types of annotations from pdfs - especially text and image/rectangular selections. Thoughts or strategies?

Hi,
Looking for a note-taking app that supports:
Anyone know such an app?
Thanks.

You can save a lot of money by buying markdown meats. Make sure that the expiration date is the same day you purchase it or one day earlier. You either have to cook or freeze it and the day you purchase it. Also use common sense if the package looks like itβs been damaged etc.
I am thinking about using Markdown for note taking instead of LaTeX but I like to use theorems, definitions, proofs, etc. in LaTeX. Is there some markdown application that supports this? I like to use Notion as well so porting this functionality to there would be neat :)
Thanks.

I have tried many apps but my requirements are fullfilled with none please suggest me some apps.
I'm converting a blog to SvelteKit. It has a few hundred posts, written in Markdown.
I sort of following this guide here: https://fantinel.dev/blog-development-sveltekit/. I have tried to check other similar guides, but they all do stuff pretty similarly.
Everything works and looks fine, but under the hood, but I've found that using the glob-import in the module context
const allPosts = import.meta.globEager(`../../lib/posts/*.svx`);
puts every single post and it's content in one large JavaScript file when building the final product (I'm building for node, btw). With hundreds or thousands of lengthy posts, that's a lot of data to push onto someone who just wants to read a single post.

const post = await import(`/src/modules/blog/posts/${params.slug}.svx`)
which seems to work when in dev mode. But as soon as I build, the svx files are not present in the output. I guess I somehow could copy them manually? But that wouldn't have them compiled instead.
Any idea of how I can achieve what I want? And what's the best way to do it?
I honestly believe it should be up to the teacher to set deadlines and marking policy around that.
One reason for not marking down late work is that admin says the mark will not be a reflection of their understanding anymore. If they understand a topic 100%, they should get 100%. But my thoughts is we could add a punctuality section into the rubric and make that worth 10%+/- so the student can still get full marks for the work completed.
I'm a new teacher but and just astonished at the amount of my students and my co-workers' students that just haven't done anything. Yet we are supposed to be teaching them time management and self-reliance skills and preparing them for post-secondary, whether in university or the workforce, where deadlines and consequences for missing them exist.
I know I'm probably preaching to the choir, but as a serious note, are there any concrete reasons for this that I'm missing?
How do you stay calm?
