An article from an American writer points out the network through which Chinese underground lab successfully smuggle ice into Australia through Bougainville. She had as main objective to know how business successfully work for this people. She stated that she was concerned about why it is difficult to stop drug smuggling and wanted to know how smart the dealers are so she contacted a Chinese wholesaler from a darknet marketplace who had a lot of good reviews. She said the vendor is called 'Snakehead9' but didn't mention the darknet marketplace. She explained that, she has been in communication with them and was claiming to be a bulk buyer but her intentions was to get as much information as possible about their smuggling network worldwide. She wasn't really interested in ordering any drugs so she convinced them that she was a bulk buyer and wasn't comfortable doing large transactions through escrow on the marketplace and suggested that they get in touch directly without a third party.

She said they accepted and shared pgp keys with her for encrypted conversations. After exchanging many messages, she managed to gain a lot of trust from them. She asked a more convenient way of communication as they had trusted her and were providing much info about their business, she explained that they asked her to download a certain mobile application called 'Wickr me' which she did and they provided her their ' Wickr ID : Wanshulab ' They started providing much information on wickr me bragging of being able to ship many kilos into Australia monthly and hyping Australia and the UK as their biggest markets for Methamphetamine crystals. She told them that she was connected in Australia and UK and wanted 10kilos sent to Australia first (as they claimed that Australia was the easiest and safest place that they could ship to in the shortest time).
And then she asked how it was going to be shipped, they exposed the whole network of Chinese underground lab supplying their Methamphetamine crystals and other products successfully to Australia through Bougainville. She explained that they said they have buyers of meth crystals and also Ephedrine, pseudoephedrine and P2P (which are all precursor of methamphetamine) to whom they supply the products within Australia. Their network is large, they ship kilos to Papua New Guinea and then move it into Australia by helicopters and boats where distribution is done in bulk price as she explained.
