A list of puns related to "Lot's daughters"
Itβs like Iβve never seen herbivore.
I bet Lot's wife was salty when she found out.
"Turn off the damn fans, I'm trying to fish over here and you are creating too much wind"...
groans ensue.....
I nodded knowingly. βItβs the early signs of typothermia.β
She could see I was stressed out with work and she and I have a very dark sense of humour.
Hey Dad, you ok?
Yeah li'l beat just over worker and tired and stressed about the holidays.
"hey dad, lots of men struggle with mental health don't worry about it too much, Robin Williams and Kurt Cobain daughters turned out just fine."
Daughter: "Quarantine."
Me: . . .
Daughter: "You don't get it. It's an inside joke."
Then she ripped it in half and said, βNever mind, itβs tearable.β
I feel like Iβve succeeded as a dad.
My daughter was in and out of the hospital a lot when she was a kid. One day she came home, and she asked me if I knew what the doctors used to draw blood. I said a needle. She said no a red crayon!
He hiked several miles to a farmhouse, and asked the farmer if there was a place he could stay overnight.
βSure,β said the farmer, βmy wife died several years ago, and my two daughters are twenty-one and twenty-three, but theyβre off to college, and Iβm all by myself, so I have lots of room to put you up.β
Hearing this, the salesman turned around and started walking back toward the highway.
The farmer called after him,βDidnβt you hear what I said? I have lots of room.β
βI heard you,β said the salesman, βbut I think Iβm in the wrong joke.β
I said, "A handshake says a lot about a person, and yours was weak."
He said, "Your daughter's handshake is good."
The previous weekend my college age daughter told me she had slept in her car after a party.
This weekend:
Me (dad): so did you sleep in your car again?
College age daughter: No, we were a lot more comfortable than that. We slept indoors.
Me: Seems like a door would be a lot less comfortable than a car!
Almost 10 years ago now when my daughterβs mom was pregnant with herβwaddling miserably towards the tail-end of her third trimester and about ready to popβshe looked forlornly at her figure in the mirror one day and announced, βOmigod Iβm as big as a house!β
And so I, the Rico Suave motherfucker that I am, popped my head up from the book I was reading on the bed and responded thusly without missing a beat:
βWell, baby girl, if youβre a house then youβre my dream home...β
I thought our relationship was my rock on which we would build one hundred stories, but there were termites in the foundation. Unfortunately she ultimately turned out to be a mobile home that couldnβt stay tethered to a single lot for more than a few years at a time as, a short time later, she up-and-skedaddled from our lives and has been a deadbeat mom to our little girl ever since. (My daughter and I built a beautiful, cozy little bungalow-for-two anyways.)
Anyway, does that qualify as a pun, or just an extended metaphor? If not, sorry, I just always thought that was a good line and I wanted to humble-brag a bit.
Her dad said, βSo I guess we will be seeing a lot more of each other?β
I put my arm around his daughter and said βIβm sorry sir, I have a girlfriend.β
We are pulling out of the parking lot when my wife asks our daughter " Are you buckled?" At which she replied " I'm not buckle, I'm Genevieve"
My youngest daughter hates wearing shoes to the point where I hardly ever see them on her. As a result she often loses them. A few weekends ago my girlfriend dropped me and the kids off at the local outdoor pool so we could get some energy out before a long drive to see family. As expected my youngest barely made it out of the parking lot with her shoes on, and as soon as we hit the grass by the pool she kicked them off and we all ran into the water to play and stuff.
I looked up at that big incomprehensible clock they have at swimming pools and saw that we were running late for that long drive, so we fled the pool rushed around getting dressed, only to discover one ... one of her shoes was missing. I was like ... how the hell do you lose one shoe? So we looked all around, then we went to the lost and found. Strangely there were several other single shoes in the lost and found but not hers. We went back and I called her mom to see if we could swing by and grab a spare pair of shoes.
Some kid next to us overheard me on the phone and said, "Hey did you lose a shoe?" I said, " ... yeah ...?" He said, "Yeah I found it over here -- " pointing like 10 feet away -- " so I took it to the cashier's office." (not the lost and found). My oldest daughter, always helpful, ran to the cashier's office and got the shoe, and all was well! We were only about 20 minutes late. Afterwards I was pondering what I could have done to avoid all that and then it hit me. I just needed to make sure that after my kids take off their shoes they are all in one place.
In other words I had just failed to put shoe and shoe together.

I told myself a dad joke because my daughter is asleep. I've reached a new low.
There was a woman who was pregnant with twins. Labour was imminent, so she was taken to the hospital to give birth. Her husband was stuck at the office, so her brother, who is a little bit kooky and not the sharpest knife in the drawer, went along with her.
Everything goes well in the delivery room, and she becomes the mother to two healthy children, a girl and a boy. The pregnancy took a lot out of her and she promptly passed out from exhaustion shortly after the birth.
A little while later, the father shows up, all excited to hear about his new kids. The wife's brother is in the waiting room when he arrives.
Husband: "How'd it go?"
Wife's brother: "It went great! Your wife gave birth to a healthy girl and a healthy boy!"
Husband: "That's amazing! Thanks so much for coming down with her."
Wife's brother: "No problem. She passed out after giving birth, so when the doctor came to get their names recorded, I handled it all."
Husband: gulps "Oh really?"
Wife's brother: "Yup. I named your daughter Denise."
Husband: "Denise. Well, that's not so bad now, is it? And my boy? What's my boy's name?"
Wife's brother: "Well, naturally he's Denephew."

My daughter is a few months old and is very active with her legs. She kicks a lot so if I hold her a bit off the ground it looks like she's dancing.
On a visit to my parents, I went to show them this while I was sitting on the couch. I held her up and told her to "dance on daddy's belly".
My dad: Oh - she's a belly dancer!
My three month old daughter was in the background so I asked her if the baby added a lot for shipping.
She said no, but it took a long time to arrive because it shipped from vachina.
There was a boy in high school named Bonnie. As you can imagine, he was bullied and picked on because of his strange name. This lead to social anxiety and a few other issues, but there was one girl who helped him through all of his pain. He had a huge crush on this girl, and after weeks of psyching himself up, he asked her to the school dance coming up.
Much to his delight, he said yes, and off to the dance they went. They had a great time and shortly after, started dating. They spent a lot of time together, calling, texting and always hanging out. They were meant for each other. They continued dating after high school, into college. On their graduation day, he proposed to her on the stage. He was nervous about asking her in public like this, but as he got down on one knee, her face lit up, tears formed in her eyes. He asked her to marry him, she said yes and the crowd cheered.
Fast forward a few years, they've bought their own house, and she's now pregnant with their first child. In the delivery room, Bonnie is standing by her side, their newborn child in her arms.
"I love you so much, hon." Bonnie told his wife, holding one of her hands. "You can name our baby girl anything you wise." he told her.
"Love. I want to name her Love." she replied, looking into his eyes. Bonnie was surprised by the strange name, and at first hesitant to agree, but he told her she could name their daughter anything. He nods in agreement and they carry on with their lives.
Fourteen years later, as with what happened with Bonnie, Love was picked on in high school for her strange name. One day, Love came home crying.
"What's wrong, Love?" Bonnie asked her worriedly.
"I hate you! Why did you give me such a stupid name?!" she screamed at him. She was furious. She was tired of the teasing and the mockery in high school. In a fit of rage, she pulled out Bonnie's handgun she had found in his night stand. She pulled the trigger and a bullet passed into Bonnie's chest.
Love panicked and ran away, and Bonnie's wife came after hearing the gun shot. She ran to Bonnie's side, picking his head up in her hands. She asked him what had happened.
"Shot through the heart... And you're to blame..." He said, weakly. "You gave Love... A bad name."
walking through a parking lot Daughter: That's a really small car. Me: Oh, that's a Mazda Miata. Daughter: What's a Miata? Me: Nothing, what's a Miata with you?!
So my friend was burning off yard trash (controlled burn...put away your pitchforks reddit) from the lot he recently had cleared during the day. I show up at his place in the evening and we go outside to see how much debris was left. He pokes some of it with a stick and hears a hard glass sound and says, "What the heck is that?!" I lean down to look at it and reply, "I think it's petrified wood....but I have no idea what scared it." He rolled his eyes, and his 16 year old daughter laughed her ass off.
Super Bowl party. Lots of snacks. My daughter made guacamole, and everyone loves it ... Except me.
I'm not really a Guac kind of guy. It's not in my DNA. "But it is in my RNA."
Head scratching and groans.
We were driving through a parking lot, and a truck pulling a u-haul was speeding towards us.
I said "Man, that truck is hauling!!"
He just rolled his eyes. I thought it was hilarious. I am my father's daughter after all...
I was sitting in a local Mexican food place with my wife having a late lunch and spot my 19yo daughter in the parking lot driving in her car with my 16yo daughter in the passenger seat. They were just returning from Vidcon.
They drove in front of the restaurant not noticing my wife's parked truck. I bolted out of the door of the restaurant and ran full tilt 500 yards across the parking lot following them all while ducking and weaving around cars so as not to be spotted. They pulled into a gas station on the other side of the parking lot from the restaurant just as I was able to sneak between the pumps and slam myself against her windshield and fall to the ground as if I had been hit. Then I flopped around on the ground like a fish.
It scared my 19yo daughter so bad she actually pee'd a little and couldn't stop crying. My 16yo was laughing so hard she couldn't breath.
I'm a bad Dad.
TL;DR: Bad father scared teenage daughter so bad she pee'd then cried.
Edit: Words
Driving slowly to the parking lot at the beach, I leaned over and called to some people walking along, "Watch out!"
My daughter asked me why I'd done that.
I replied, "Well, the sign back there said 'Caution Pedestrians'!"
Sister: Walking out of the store today i had this conversation with my 2 and half year old daughter "we are going into a parking lot you need to hold my hand."
Her kid proceeds to grab her own and and says "I am good. I am holding my own hand."
My dad Smirked, Dad: If Holding hands is what is important, who cares which hand it is, right?
My family and I were setting up for my daughter's first birthday part. My wife called me over for a hand with the decorations.
Her: "I don't know how we'll get this garland stuck up."
Me: "Just compliment it a lot."
...we stopped off by a store that had lots of fall flowers and pumpkins, including various sizes of mums in different colors. My daughter wanted a couple of the biggest yellow mums to put on either side of our front door, which were crazy expensive. I told her, "I'm a little tight on money right now, so let's keep our purchases to a mini-mum."
Daughter goofing around put a Mr Potato Head hairpiece on Dad's head. "There, now you have a toupee!"
Dad replies, "I already have a lot of 'to-pays'. Electric bill, mortgage, cable, phone..."
DAD: Yeah this thing better not go down... I have a lot of money invested in these kiddos. Each one is in REFORM school. DAUGHTER: you give such a good impression of us... DAD: I sure do! I put the M in M - barrassing!!!
Wut
