Coz i wanna rewatch it now.
He dreams of a better life. That's why he can fly.
I remember I read a book when I was in 6th grade. It was a YA novel that had two parallel plots. As if they were in taking place in parallel worlds. One plot ends as the other begins, making them interconnected. It was a trippy read. Hope you guys know some books that can give me the same feel.
Edit: All of you are amazing. Thank you for the suggestions. My list just got that much longer.
Edit: BEWARE that some book suggestions mentioned in the comment section can mildly spoil your reading experience. I have therefore tagged this post as a spoiler.
What follows is a really long table. Sorry not sorry.
Data is taken from here, I'm not entirely sure how up-to-date or complete it is but Julia's entry on that page includes 1191, 1192 and 1193 so presumably it's entirely up to date.
I've taken the liberty of trimming out characters that appeared only once in Dragon Magazine strips, as I'm assuming he's not counting those in the "exactly one(1) page of the story so far" clue.

from Urban Dictionary, for my international friends;
Something that is very unpleasant, dirty or smelly. It is the next level up from minging.
Hair that hasn't been washed for a week would be classed as grebby.

LTLFTP; a recent post about a JN's list of beauty requirements inspired me to unleash my inner poster at last. This is minor, but I'm not ready to divulge the Real Bad Stuff yet. I've been hanging out here for a while, in particular reading CastielGalafran's posts, because I recognise so goddamn much of AnimeAssassin. Cas, if you're reading this: I ship our exes. They deserve each other (and nothing else).
*inhales ready for a cathartic overshare*
My ex and I met in high school and stayed together almost nine years, sadly. A lot of boys in high school, especially the nerdy ones, didn't know how to groom themselves that well. Every class had at least one unwashed World of Warcraft enthusiast. Don't get me wrong, I was one of those nerds. I washed, sure, but I was a hot mess. Remember MySpace? Remember when we didn't have Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, and all the goth-nerd girls had melted panda eyes by 10am? I couldn't criticise a damn thing. The difference between GG and I is that I grew out of it. He got worse. As you read the following, bear in mind that this is all from the mouth of an adult man. He had (has? had? has) a surprisingly vehement hatred for anyone who did not abide by this "common sense".

Sorry if this was already known but I couldn't find any translated versions it.
New and experienced writers, this tip is useful regardless of your writing level unless you have the memory of a genius. Even then people make mistakes.
Write out a list of themes, questions, motivations and arcs when they are introduced during the drafting and editing phase. As you write, regardless of if you are a gardner, journey taker or architect, refer back to it and add to it. Eventually you should see how you are (or not) working towards the goals and ultimately answering the questions, developing the themes and being consistent with character's motivation.
This can help avoid plot holes and also stop you from writing yourself into a corner. It can be done at the planning stage and should be done during the drafting / editing phase to be most effective.
For those writing long fantasy series, this is essential to keep track of all the threads both from world building, characters, lore and consistency overall.
Advanced Version - Mainly for Fantasy / Sci-fi folk with a big cast of characters.
Write out a chapter by chapter character tracker, with details of location, motivation and actions even if they are not in the chapter youβre writing. Go as detailed as you need to be, even detailing number of limbs left, frustration due to location, back alley action and what not to ensure you have your cast where they need to be, all working towards their own / collective goal that you have introduced and shown in the story.
If you want a character chapter by chapter tracking template, pm me and Iβll link one to you. Thanks for reading.

You try your best to convince them to want to live, scream at them to stop self destructing, beg them to save themselves. But nothing is working and all you can do is watch them drown.
Both have been a big part of my childhood reading and are still amazingly well crafted novels, even from my adult perspective.
So I'm wondering, how well known is this book outside of Germany?
I've seen some recognition for "The Neverending Story", but haven't really come across any mention of "Momo" yet.
What list of characters, do you think dying would provide the story much narrative value and depth such as story building and character development?
