A list of puns related to "List of Star Wars species (PβT)"
Hi, Iβm reading Star Wars novels and there are a lot of quick, casual references to many different kinds of aliens. I would prefer not to look up each one individually but I would like to read through a list (with pictures) with most popular kinds all in one go just to get a quick frame of reference. Know of anything like this?
It seems easier to find an actual Jedi than another member of the Child's species. Mando doesn't even consider searching for The Child's home planet after his initial investigation - instead he goes looking for 'a race of enemy sorcerers' straight out of Mandalorian myth. And that works! How is an entire sentient species somehow rarer and harder to find than a Jedi in the post-Empire pre-new-Jedi-Order galaxy?
What gives? Why are the 'Yodas' so rare and/or reclusive? Are they even a naturally occuring species at all, or just something the Force 'makes'? Is there anything at all in the Extended Universe that addresses this, or does The Mandalorian essentially have free reign to fill in this gap in canon however it wants?
Pretty much the title. I know that every species has a connection to the force, and some have very few members who will be able to use it, but in Legends or Canon is there a species that for any reason cannot have force sensitive people? Sorry for the weird question and confusing wording.
Edit: To clarify, I mean sentient beings.
I mean, look at Chewie and the Porgs. Within fifty years a hundred planets will have Porg colonies.

Have any of you ever thought about this? I think that would be pretty interesting backstory. To watch a movie or an entire episode dedicates around the story of different species (but probably humans) and life on their home planets before inter-stellar technologies were developed to allow travel across the galaxy enabling contact between the different species in different star systems.
Essentially very ancient Star Wars. Just wondering what your guyses thoughts are on this
I haven't done very much story so idk if you unlock more heads.
So far I can see a purple twi'ilek, a sullustan, a duros, and an abednedo.
I'm really hoping there are more, I would love to have a rodian, zabrak, and trandotian atleast.
Also there are like 10 human heads, could we maybe get some more variations on the orher races? Like maybe other colored twi'leks.
I saw it in the Amazon UK page, but it is listed in several venues by now. Here is the list:

The word he meant to write was "boffin", a word you'll frequently find in WW1 and 2 movies and books which feature British characters.
We only hear the word "Bothan" once in the original trilogy. And Who was it that said that "A lot of bothans died to get us these Death Star plans", none other than space-Briton Mon Mothma.
A "boffin" is a slang word for a scientist or an engineer (the type like Galen Erso (father-dude) from Rogue One). Given the monumental size of the Death Stars, it makes sense that there'd be lots of different boffins working on the Death Stars, a job that would require them to have access to the Death Star plans (heck, they may have worked on them themselves).
With so many boffins working on the Death Star II, it's only natural that there'd be some, whilst not being spies (since you don't send spies to secret construction sites because their very secrecy precludes you from sending them), that some of them would hold Rebel sympathies and would try to leak them to the Rebellion. The last Death Star blew up Alderaan, so the Empire clearly demonstrated their willingness to fire them (fire the Death Stars, I mean, not fire the boffins).
Furthermore spellcheck didn't exist at the time Lucas was filming the Original Trilogy, and given the word's origin as British slang, it's highly unlikely Lucas would be able to find out how to spell it by looking it up in an American dictionary.
[Allopatric speciation] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allopatric_speciation) is when members of the same species are separated for long enough, their separation causes them to evolve into separate distinct species. It is thought that if Humans achieve space travel and set up colonies across our galaxy, that we will suffer from this and form different sub species and eventually entirely different species different from original Humans, much like life on Earth has done.
With this in mind, I've read before that in the Star Wars Galaxy, life arose from many different planets and then each achieved hyperspace tech at the same time which allowed separate species to discover each other. Does this really make sense? Every species in this Galaxy really looks the same and acts in the same way. Wouldn't a Twi'lek and a Human have a common ancestor? Canonically a Human and a Twi'lek mated and produced kids who looked like a cross between a Human and a Twi'lek. This would only be possible if they shared DNA and had a common ancestor.
What do you guys think about this? I think that it makes more sense that in the Star Wars Galaxy, life probably originated on one planet and spread throughout the Galaxy. This species then was separated for millions upon millions of years so that distinct species were formed which are the species that we know in the era of the Galaxy that we are shown.

Hey, everyone. Iβm writing a campaign right now set in the Star Wars galaxy, millions of years in the future. New species and Planets can exist, old ones can be completely altered, etc. Itβs a big task to create this world but Iβm excited for it, and Iβd like to hear any interesting ideas you guys can come up with! How has technology improved or devolved? Are there now several subspecies of Wookiees with warring clans of different hair colors? Are humans extinct, having been destroyed by a previous government for being the most morally corrupt? Has a massive asteroid collided with Naboo, leaving it a wasteland covered in blue fire? Show me what those creative of yours can do!
I eventually want to build an entire futuristic era. The current government is a force-focused theocracy that uses both Light and Dark side enforcers to maintain balance in the Force as literally as possible. Remnants of whatβs happened in current canon have completely faded away. Iβm excited to see what ideas you guys have :)
Yoda was Grand Master of the Jedi Order for about 800 years, or the majority of the Great Peace of the Republic. You'd think that such an old, respected, and important figure would be known very well throughout the Republic and the galaxy for his leadership, even more so than Chancellor Palpatine, even though the latter made many more public appearances. Even after the Empire's reign, there should still be many who remembered Yoda from before his disappearance or heard about him/saw images from their elders, kind of like how today's youth know about politicians and celebrities from pre-1980. Were images and statues/figurines of the master never produced out of respect? What's missing here?
Edit: I've seen some very good points here, but I still think someone who was in a position like that for 800 years would be noticed.
