Heart rate increasing after getting up followed with lightheadedness 2 weeks after 1st pfizer shot

Couple of days after getting my first pfizer shot I had 3 consecutive migraines, but I wasn’t too worried about that cause I’ve had migraines since I was young, but after that these symptoms started manifesting. I don’t exercise so I’m not sure if this is a side effect or just me being out of shape.. My heart rate goes from 85ish to 115/117 real quick almost every time I get up followed by lightheadedness and sometimes dizziness, I’ve been more tired than usual despite sleeping normally, also very distracted at times.

I’ve never had this prior to the vaccine, no idea if it’s related or not, figured I’d post here.

(Edit: forgot to mention, my feet get numb sometimes when I get up or when Im sitting down)

is there a mechanism by which GERD / bloating can trigger dizziness / lightheadedness

Was diagnosed with HPYlori in January and developed terrible GERD after its elimination. Now I get terrible lightheadedness and tinnitus whenever my heartburn or bloating becomes too bad, but it quickly goes away when I take mylanta or other antacid like Gaviscon. Had endoscopy done in January which showed HPYlori related gastritis. I was wondering if there is a mechanism by which bloating or heartburn can lead to dizziness (as in lightheadedness and not vertigo )

Dizziness/Lightheadedness?

Does anyone else find that they get dizzy or lightheaded if getting up too quickly? I’ve noticed I get a wicked headache and unwell feeling if I get up off the couch or my work office chair too quickly. I have to immediately sit back down or I feel as if I will faint. Just curious if anyone else may have this issue and if it’s possibly related to scoliosis.

Plugged Ears and Lightheadedness from Anxiety Induced TMJ

I started having fullness in my ears and crackling/popping around two months ago. I thought it might be ETD so I went to an ENT who found that my ears were fine but did find some tenderness in my jaw and said it is possibly TMJ (although I have no actual jaw pain). I also recently (3 weeks or so) started dealing with a constant dizziness/lightheadedness. I saw a neurologist and had a brain/eye MRI which came back normal. Although I had some dizziness/lightheadedness about 15 years ago and was diagnosed with TMJ (again without jaw pain) and was given a mouth guard, the neurologist seems to think my symptoms are solely from anxiety and can't be due to TMJ. He said he didn't think I should see a TMJ specialist to get a new mouthguard because they would just diagnose me with TMJ to make a buck. Anyone have any thoughts? Should I go ahead and get the TMJ referral or listen to the neurologist? Thanks all!

Lightheadedness and tingling in legs a month after J&J?

Hi all. I had the J&J vaccine a little over a month ago, close to 5 weeks now. The past week I have been experiencing bouts of lightheadedness and very mild tingling in the legs and feet with the lightheadedness. I have not had any of the red flag symptoms such as pain, headaches, shortness of breath or fatigue. In fact, I am an avid runner and have not had any issues while running.

The lightheadedness only happens when I am sedentary. Has anyone else experienced this with the J&J or even another vaccine? I am a 26 year old male with roughly a 20.8-21 BMI if that helps at all. I am someone who almost never had health issues of any kind, and I have never dealt with this before in my life. I can not tell whether to see my doctor or not. Thanks.

Hot Shower Lightheadedness

So I am not officially diagnosed but my cardiologist suspects and I’m still doing testing. Whenever I take a hot shower I get really light headed and feel like I’m going to pass out. This morning was just awful. I’ve never felt this sick after a hot shower. And it used to be one of the few things I really enjoyed. Is there any good way to adapt to this? Thanks! Edit: I’m also feeling really nauseous this morning. I ate soup and some chocolate and now I feel like I’m going to throw up. Today has been rough so far.

Headaches and lightheadedness on Xarelto (especially in few hours after taking pill).

I've been on Xarelto a week. I've noticed that I get lightheaded and get a headache soon after taking each pill. I'm currently taking 15 mg twice daily. In two weeks I switch to 20 mg once a day. This has gotten worse each day. I read that the lightheadedness isn't uncommon, and saw a study that suggested it might be due to vascular arterial dilation, and that it might lower patient's blood pressure. (I didn't research carefully enough to see if other studies have been done--this was from a quick search.) If that's right, it's unsurprising I have this side effect since my blood pressure is already low.

Anyone else have this experience? Anyone on Eliquis have the same experience?

Also, I see there's another blood thinner--Savaysa (edoxaban)-- which wasn't presented as an option for me. Anyone on that one? Trying to figure out if I should ask my doctor to switch to Eliquis before the weekend. The headache and dizziness are interfering with my ability to get work done. It's also worriesome that it seems to be getting worse each day.

21F Girlfriend experiences lightheadedness/headache and blurry vision during cloudy weather

21F, 5'2", 154 LBS, White

tldr; Girlfriend feels sick (lightheadedness and headaches) when she sees the light outside on a grey-weathered cloudy day, no idea why.

Medical History: Glasses, no known allergies, low blood pressure. Something else that may be relevant is that she drinks like 2 gallons of water a day and is always extremely thirsty (pees like every 30 minutes to an hour)

My French (idk if that matters) girlfriend often experiences lightheadedness and blurry vision during cloudy weather and/or storms. Her mom has the same symptoms and in her family they often attribute it to their mixed blue/green/yellowish eyes.

My girlfriend says that whenever the weather is like that, she sees blurry and gets lightheaded, headaches, and/or feels like she is going to faint. It's especially bad when it's cloudy and she's driving. She says she thinks it's because her eyes can't handle the way the light is dispersed, but she doesn't really know. Also, she experiences this with or without glasses.

She said this has been happening ever since she was 12 after she beat some sort of bacterial illness she got from a pool that caused extremely painful "pimples" or possibly blisters to appear all over her body almost like chicken pox. She doesn't know the exact illness, but she had it for about 7 years.

I understand you are not her doctor, but in your opinion, what could be wrong with her? I tried looking online, but I couldn't really find similar cases and it's just really odd to me. I told her maybe get some electrolytes to deal with the low blood pressure/maybe not feel so thirsty? Maybe it will help her lightheadedness too? I have no idea.

Edit: She has been checked for diabetes and doesn't have it, thankfully. (it doesn't let me reply to the kind person who commented, so I'm leaving my edit here)

Thank you to anyone with input.

Constant lightheadedness and disassociation

The past 3 months I’ve been feeling constant lightheadedness and floaty feeling. It all started when I woke up in a middle of the night and rolled over my head and had a sudden spinning vertigo attack. It only lasted a couple minutes but the lightheadedness stayed. It almost feels like I’m in a elevator being pulled down or as if I’m on a boat. I feel like I’m not myself and that my surroundings aren’t real. I have constant headaches on my temples and a stiff neck. My ears feel full, I can sometimes see small white flashes. I just feel weak and dumb all around. My primary doctor performed the Dix-Hallpike maneuver on me and didn’t see my eyes spinning (BPPV) so she referred me to a neurologist. The neuro had me get a brain mri w/contrast and an EEG all of which came back normal. I’m going to see an ENT next.

Has anybody had similar symptoms? Who are you being treated by? My psychiatrist thinks this could be caused by subconscious anxiety but I’m not too sure.

EDIT: I meant to write derealization not disassociation on the title

Dizziness/Lightheadedness while getting up during extended fast

Hey guys, first of all, I'm proud to be part of the community! I've been doing OMAD for months now (started with IF). I also do monthly routine extended fast (3 days). My highest record was 100 hours.

I can totally deal with the hunger (3rd day is usually the worst for me), which I know I'm just having the urge to eat but I'm not hungry. However, I just hate the feeling of dizziness/light-headedness when I'm getting up from a relaxed position (bed or chair). I get this "whited-out" or blurred vision and it'll take a few seconds to recover then get back to usual.

I do drink water with sea salt each morning for the electrolyte.

Have anyone experience the same and any way to counter this?

Has anyone felt lightheadedness and feeling faint or dizzy days before the c section?

Hello!

I was wondering if this is normal.

This last couple of days I've been feeling odd; first started as an ear annoyance, similar to tinitus or heavy sinusitis, it never scalated to any of those, but this past couple of days I've been feeling lightheaded and a bit dizzy, and when I stand up extra weak. My nutrition hasn't changed, I keep taking the iron and folic acid supplements as I was explained, I've been taking it easy since the baby is moving quite a lot and the c section is scheduled to this next week.

My partner and I have been busy and nesting the last details. My last control was this past Wednesday and everything was perfect by then...

Is it normal to feel this way or should I go to the dr right away? I thought it could be stress related or tou sleep cycle.

Just wanted to ask...

Lightheadedness after second Pfizer vaccine?

I got the second Pfizer dose on Wednesday May 5th, and I think I took it pretty well with minor symptoms. However, I started to notice some dizziness when I lied down for bed and got up in the mornings soon after, and Sunday at work on Mother's Day, I had bouts of dizziness, enough to affect my work. I found articles about BPPV and did the Epley maneuver for my right side, as I had room spinning after the self diagnostic test. I can't say it helped.

I saw my doctor that Thursday, the 13th, and he can't link it to anything but the vaccine, and possibly allergies. I had a recent blood panel too, and everything is normal. He said to come back if it gets worse or new symptoms surface, but other than that, it could last 8-12 weeks. It's very minor, but it still happens sometimes when I turn over in bed suddenly, and at random times while walking, and lasts maybe a minute, but no more than 10. Accompanying nausea is rare, and I've never fallen or lost my balance. Doesn't matter if my eyes are open or closed either.

I'm 25, female, 105lbs, in the US. Anybody else?

how to deal with lightheadedness from caloric restriction?

23F, 156lb. used to be 125lb 4 years ago, been gaining since. no activity outside light walks, 15-20 mins, and some strength training exercises here and there. i plan to add more intense exercise to my routine but right now i'm just too plain busy.

i'm trying to restrict my calorie intake to about 1200 to 1500, as well as my carb and sugar intake because i'm realizing how much it's affecting my appetite. however, it's been really hard. yesterday i managed to eat around 1200 without feeling ravenously hungry.

today i kept off breakfast until i felt actual hunger. i never felt hunger, though, which was weird. i ate anyways. and now i'm so light headed, weak, and dizzy. i haven't felt like this since i was a teenager and i used to undereat and barely got any nutrients without realizing. i'm not that hungry, though. but i'm hungry enough to wish i could eat more.

these symptoms are what makes weight loss so hard for me. yeah i get cravings, i struggle with portion control for my favorite foods, but i had improved upon that for the last few weeks. i've been trying for years now, with and without exercise, to lose weight. i just want to lose it already. i'm constantly gaining and i don't think i'm even eating that much. i've cut out just about everything i enjoy now. i'm just tired. and now i can't even work because of how weak i am.

can't i just restrict my calories, which is what's supposed to work, without feeling like i'm going to fall from faint if i'm not careful. but if i eat more, that means i'll gain weight.

Just started meditating, after a few days I started to feel dizzy, lightheadedness should I keep going?

A little bit about my story is I have anxiety, I keep talking to myself, my mind always reacts to everything that happens(like it always comment what it wants to say) it has been years since I had this I wasnt aware of it until now that I was diagnosed with it. I just had my first panic attack last month and after that I cant stop thinking that it might happen again you know fear of panic.

And then I came across this buddhist in youtube named Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. He teaches meditation and his teachings are actually spot on and well explained, he even has a website that has lessons and courses in it. Looking at his background he is actually known by some people.

So I started to follow his teachings the key point is awareness. You can do it everywhere if you please and everything can be used for meditation the breath, the sound, even your thoughts I actually tried that whenever my mind tried to think that my panic will happen again I would simply be aware that my mind is thinking like that and it would calm me in no time.

I was amazed by it and decide to follow his lessons in his website, after a few days I noticed I'm feeling dizzy, lightheadedness or pressure in my head. I've done some research some say it is your stress in your brain being released, some say it is detrimental and prolonged feeling of that is not good.

Knowing that I have anxiety I can't help to look for more answers should I keep going? I'm actually meditating 10 mins daily, and my side effects usually lasts the whole day and no I do not force my self to concentrate to think about nothing I just let everything in my mind pass, even in my daily activities if some random thought comes up I would just simply look at it, letting it pass, not trying to resist. Just letting my mind be.

Is it just normal?

Ritalin Lightheadedness, reduced appetite

Hello, I’m just joined this group, I’m 22 M 117kg 183cm (258l 6’) and got my ADHD diagnosis here in Finland over a month ago. I started Ritalin at the same time starting at 5mg now up to 30mg per day, around the same time I also started to change my eating habits to lose some pandemic weight and be more healthy. Recently though, since my last increase to 30mg last week I started to feel lightheaded and my appetite has become quite low, I normally don’t crave breakfast at all so I eat normally around noon although I have some fruit before taking my Ritalin, I drink water throughout the day so I don’t think think I’m dehydrated but now it’s as if I’m not hungry at all and at the evening when we have dinner I don’t eat much, I’m kinda freaking out I’ve lost just over 10 pounds in just around 3 days. The lightheadedness is not severe but enough to cause concern, also maybe I should add that 2 weeks ago me and my partner had the flu/cold and still dealing with post viral cough, the lightheadedness hits hard after coughing. I have a call with my doctor in a week to discuss the progress of the medication and today I’m supposed go up to 40mg which I’m reluctant to do as I’m scared I’ll make my symptoms worse. Any thoughts?

Does anyone here get frequent forehead pressure, brain fog, and lightheadedness?

Hi!

I had a rhinoplasty/septoplasty completed by a fantastic surgeon in 2017. After having it done, she told me that I should also get a turbinate reduction, but wanted me to fully heal first. I am yet to go. Because of this, I do not have great airflow in my left nostril (probably only about 30%) and am always congested nasally.

Over the years post-surgery, I have been getting on and off (but pretty consistent) pressure across the middle of my forehead, right above my eyebrows. Whenever I get this pressure, I feel VERY spacey, lightheaded, brain foggy, and sometimes even weak in the legs. It can be (but isn’t always!) accompanied by a headache.

I had a sinus CAT scan run about three years ago and that was clear, though my symptoms weren’t this severe then. I’ve also had a ton of blood work done and no one can tell me what’s wrong.

This has actually ruined my life. I don’t feel confident in my body anymore because whenever this feeling comes, I fear that I’m going to fall or pass out! Now it’s happening nearly every day :(

I was just wondering if anyone else has this forehead pressure, if it could be sinus related, and if so, what had helped you guys.

Thanks! I really appreciate it.

Intense Headaches and Lightheadedness

23M, 6'1'',75kg.

I woke up this morning after a late night talking with friends, with a really intense headache, it felt like a migraine, and a bit of a sore throat. I got up, had some water and something to eat, before having 3 ibuprofen tablets, 200mg each. When I woke up I felt better, but I still felt a bit of a headache. After I while, I stopped noticing the headache, but my eyes felt really tired. I started watching a movie and when I got up to get some water, I noticed I was really dizzy. I had to sit down and take a breath before I could go and get some water. After that, I've been feeling lightheaded, it's a bit hard to explain. Any ideas of what could be happening to me?

Day 9 - Lightheadedness or maybe they’re headaches idk

So the good news for those who have been following my progress is that I had another blood draw back on Friday (6 days in) and my platelets and WBC bounced back compared to my first draw 2 days in last Monday. Platelets are now over 150k and my WBC is back in the normal range. Woo!

Nausea has calmed down a bit too, I think that was mostly anxiety. I’m slowly regaining my ability to eat without it going straight through me.

But this damn lightheadedness and fatigue ... I swear I can’t shake it. I don’t know if it’s even lightheadedness or if it’s a headache but it’s in the back of my head sometimes going down the back of my neck and it’s made better by lying down. It happens almost every time I stand up. It’s not so bad that I can’t hold my own balance or walk but it is annoying and definitely concerning. It is causing me to have no motivation to do anything and distraction methods aren’t working.

Tylenol helped some last night but I’m worried about taking it as my concern it it might mask early warning signs of the CVST/VITT

I’m the only person I, or anyone who I talk to knows, really, that has had side effects lasting this long like this. Anyone else in the same boat? Should I just go to the damn ER and demand a head scan? My doctor is always booked, I am unsure I’ll be able to get an appointment with her that isn’t months out.

23M, jabbed April 10th. I take Toprol daily but rarely ever experienced lightheadedness from it to this degree. A week has passed at this point. All this shit started since I got jabbed. I’m gravely disappointed in the fact that everyone else I know is living life happily post vaccinated (Including my mother who got the same jab at the same time I did) while I am stuck in bed still sick, blowing PTO time or working out of my bed, and racking up expensive copays at the hospital over concern of these clots. I almost died once from an infection and I’m not letting myself go that easily.

Sorry, just venting... but also looking to see if anyone else is in my shoes or has advice.
