A list of puns related to "Leadβlag compensator"
Hello. I have a simple 2-dof system. Two masses in series connected through springs.

I am given the Non-Linear Dynamics (Ξ²1 and Ξ²2 are non-linear springs) that I linearized in order to analyze the system and design the controller. I am asked to "control X1(s) through F(s) and X2(s) through F(s) to achieve zero steady-state error and settling time less than 12s". Notch filter should be utilized along with a lead/lag compensator if it is needed. I can also put a second Notch filter if it is needed (that's what I have been told). F is the force acting on mass M1 as a means of input to the system.
I know very much about control but I have never actually studied implementing notch filters and such. Where do notch filters are used (in what part of the block diagram)? In the feedback loop? Before the controller?
I need to decided on the parameters of the notch filter and the compensator based on root locus trial and error. I have calculated (from a previous step) the TF X1(s)/F(s) and X2(s)/F(s).
Four poles that are purely imaginary
So I guess it must be something like that.

I thought about where the notch filter and compensator should go and I did something like that with the notch filter on the feedback.

Made some tries with some Lead/Lag compensator poles and zeros and I also tried putting the zeros close to the imaginary poles of the system in order to make it (more) stable but I really dont know what else I can do.
Using this open loop transfer function (assuming you know matlab) zpk([],[0 -100 -500],20000) I need to do the following: 1) Design a lead compensator such that the damping ration is greater or equal to 0.5 and the natural frequency of compensated system is 3 rad/s. 2) Design a lag compensator to reduce the steady-state error to a unit ramp to 0.2. 3) Use Bode plot to determine the range of K that makes the close loop system stable. 4) Determine K such that the gain margin is 11dB. *FYI I need to do everything by hand, Part1 I'm stuck on finding phi (I get get 308 degrees which makes no sense) *I made my bode plot and found my range of K's 0<k<1500. I'm stuck at the angle part because it makes no sense. any help will be appreciated
So if the helicopter experiences relatively heavy vibrations on ground (ENG in Flight), but the vibrations decrease while in hover and flying high speed, could this be the cause of a failed lead-lag damper? Also, while checking the blade track with a strobe and reflectors (at maximum continuous power), you could clearly see that one of the three blades has a larger distance (is more ahead) than the first two between them. Then the distance equalizes when the speed reduces. I would have guessed that a lead-lag damper is more effective in flight but why do the vibrations reduce when in flight at speed and increases while slowing down and on ground?
Upon visual inspection of the dampers, no problems found.
Hello! Controls question from a non-controls engineer here.
So I have a guidance law that states:
n_c = KR(O_T - O_M)
Where n_c is an acceleration command, K is a proportional constant, and O_T and O_M are angles.
The text I am referencing (Tactical and Strategic Missile Guidance by Paul Zarchan) states that the transfer function for this guidance law to be:
n_c/O_T(s) = KRs^2 / (s^2 + K)
Which it states has sinusoidal response. It also states that this sinusoidal response may be stabilized by introducing a lead-lag compensator such as:
K = G(s) = 10*(1+ s/2)/(1+s/20)
I am trying to implement this in a time-based simulation (not in Simulink).
Assuming I have K, R, O_T and O_M, how might I implement the lead-lag compensation network in my simulation (solely in the time-domain)?
I have ~20 ms ping, and sat right by my router. I've seen other people having similar issues, so I'm starting to think that it's just crappy servers. Am I justified in thinking this? I've never played original Rocket League, so I don't know how it plays online. I think it's bs that I lost a rank because of it too.
I used to play Payday 2 with an american friend of mine (I'm in Australia).
Payday 2 is Peer2Peer, and had some kind of "favor the player" lag compensation technology that made everyone think that they had no lag, from their perspective, everything happened as it "Should Have" to the players benefit. I've never really seen anything like it but it kinda makes sense, bots don't get upset about Lag, so you can safely make the game favor the player instead of worrying about the implications of favoring a particular person or action.
EG: I and my friend both shoot an enemy. From both our perspectives, the enemy is shot to death by our own personal bullet.
EG 2: A Special tries to disable my friend. He dodges it 'on his screen'. Because his PC returns the feedback that he did not get pinned, the server favors his PC's response over the host PC's 'assertion' that the Special did pin him.
In Vermintide, whatever happens on the hosts PC is the law.
This means that if the host connection is even slightly laggy, it makes the game experience much worse.
Hence why I'm asking about this for Darktide. Is it even possibly with how Darktide is coded/Designed?
I am looking at a dataset of orders. The dataset has various columns with the relevant ones including OrderDate (in format YYYY-MM-DD), OrderID (unique for each order) and CustomerID. I am trying to do a CASE WHEN to check whether for any particular OrderID, the customer who placed said order had ordered before also. So basically I am trying to check if each value in the CustomerID column has appeared before at any point in the past. How can I do this? I have been told Lag/Lead can be used for this.
Or is it just buggy hitreg/hitboxes?
As always, the data in this post comes from our daily SOTD posts, excluding duplicate and deleted posts. Most people are pretty clear about what's being used, but sometimes I can't figure it out and have to put it down as unknown. If you used more than one soap/cream/whatever, only one gets noted in my data. I post these here in r/Wetshaving and also over in r/sotdreports.
A bunch of makers showed up this month who haven't been in the Log before, from all over the world: Hendrix Classics & Co, Faena, out of Greece, Master Soap Creations in South Africa, Furbo, I believe from Italy, Hampshire Woolfat from the UK, I guess, Cutting Edge in the US, Palmira from Serbia, Portland General Store, I assume in Oregon, and a couple soaps or creams from established perfumers: Penhaligon's in England and Alvarez GΓ³mez in Spain.
September saw 2,287 SOTDs posted in r/Wetshaving from 194 different authors, about 1/3 down from August (1,221 fewer posted shaves), with only 13 fewer posters. Mean shaves posted per day was 76.23 (36.93 fewer per day than August).
