A list of puns related to "King John"
Thanks everyone who has purchased stuff from me over the past year or so! Iβm going to be curbing the amount I sell on here due to the new 1099 tax reporting rules - I just donβt have time to keep track of every single transaction. But, I do plan on doing a lot more trading so Iβm looking forward to that. This is a great sub and Iβve discovered so much great music from it, and hopefully have provided many others with some great music from my own collection.
Iβve reduced the prices on most of the stuff I still have for sale as Iβm really looking to get it out of here as soon as possible. Everything should be listed for Discogs average or lower, and most will be lower. As always, the more you buy the bigger the discount!
There are two tabs on the spreadsheet - the first are individually priced records and the second is "4 for $25." Items from that list are pick 4, get them shipped for $25. Anything $5 on the priced spreadsheet can also be applied to this deal.
If you're interested in only one title on the "4 for $25" tab, they are $5 each. If you want several of those, Iβll be happy to knock them down to $3/4.
Feel free to shoot me an offer on anything you're interested in. Also down to field trade offers if youβre looking to trade for anything!
PayPal Goods and Services only, please.
$5 shipping to the US for up to two, add $1 for each extra beyond that within the US (Media Mail). Records will be shipped outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits and packaged well to prevent shifting in transit.
If youβre international, I can quote you a price for shipping.
Free shipping for US orders $50+!
Grading is record/sleeve. I like to grade conservatively and always happy to send pics of anything you want to see. I use the Goldmine standard.
This post has likely already been made but I still want to get this out of the way.
I believe that while Joker/King John wasn't right necessarily, he was still necessary and none of this transition would've occurred without him.
I have no personal attachment to John.
First before we get down into discussing, I'd like to make sure we are on the same page regarding the abrupt transitions between different topics and setting. I personally felt as though the transition between the shounen delinquent bullying/hierarchy and turf wars to the more serious ideas of trauma, anti status quo (where people without abilities or with low tier abilities are beaten down) and secret organizations is a bit jarring and honestly speaking, feels entirely like uru handwaved the delinquency in favor of developing the overall theme of hierarchy. Please link me if uru ever explained this. The reason I wish to bring this up is because it factors heavily into my arguments and not being too avid, I haven't read or participated in many AMAs so I'm entirely going off of how it is presented in UnO.
The shifting setting of UnO
Onto the main topic of discussion. In the first 50 or so chapters, the image of Wellston seems to be the typical delinquent manhwa where there is a hierarchy based on power. I concede that this hierarchy of power exists throughout society rather than just in schools and that this concept of hierarchy is expanded on throughout the entire webtoon even when the school has somewhat dropped it. HOWEVER, I feel like the hierarchy has somewhat taken a sideline to fuel the organizations arc even though the organizations are likely going to play a role in strengthening or destroying the hierarchy system. Back on topic, the delinquent style can be seen in how the higher tiers are able to physically bully lower tiers: punching people in the bathroom (Episode 2) and ganging up on John (Episode 3). If I only had these two episodes to go off of, I would assume it was a generic school life manhwa where the underdog character is actually strong and changes the school's delinquency by beating up all those who perpetuate the system.
Why I think John wasn't right
John was obviously more vengeance fueled than dedicated to making change at first. When he did make a positive change by influencing the creation of the safe house (Chapter 186), he was already in a state where he was more trauma than man and his psychosis caused his perception to be warped i

So i was rereading a coulple of chapters from the joker arc and god dam John was a beast in that arc. The perfect villain. Mysterious, coolheaded (for the most part), scary af and just had a plan. Confident and strong, he knew he was in the right and had a clear goal in mind. His motives, ideals and mission were clear as day and nobody could judge him for what he did.
Now fastforward to king John and you get a problem. Johns motives are gonne. His goal is gonne. His plan as invisible as the air we breathe. The calm, cool and collected Joker who destroyed everyone one by one, replaced with a baby that just has one outburst after another. No strategy to be seen with his actions. Just a paranoid kid not knowing what to do anymore.
Even thiugh both use violance, their ways of doing so are so difrent. I feel like this is the biggest reason the first half of the secobd season wasnt fun to read. It was a part of the story that was donne out of necessity, rather than the author wanting to do it. Dont get me wrong King John is a well written character and the arc, when you look at it from an objective pov, is as high quality as any other in the story. But it wasnt fun to read at all. For those who read the beginning after the end, its like Tess in the war arc. On paper its good writting and an excelent middle point for character development, but its only amazing when you get to the end of it. But the process is a bit of a pain. That said King John has his moments, but come on Joker John was the moment XD.
Only question remaining is will perfect John (thats what i call the current John...hoppe it catches on XD) be better than Joker John. Well a new chapter drops in a couple of hours and finally...well i cant finish this because that would be spoilers for the non fastpass readers lol.
Here's a list of records that I've pulled to sell from my personal collection - I've run out of room, so these must go!! Nearly everything here has never been played, and both vinyl and jackets are in fantastic condition (unless I've stated otherwise, I tried to be transparent with any blemishes to the jacket). I have used discogs and ebay sale history and current live prices to come up with a price that should be fair and competitive, but you are welcome to message me offers. I will mark out records as they sell. Please add $5 for Media Mail shipping to your total if you live within the United States. If you're outside of the USA, contact me for exact shipping.

"Look, Richaun Holmes is the most underrated player in the league, OK? Itβs not even close.
Seemingly nobody outside Sacramento knows who Holmes is, but heβs building a strong early-season case that maybe he should make the All-Star team. Even withΒ DeβAaron Foxβs body possessed by the ghost ofΒ Cory Joseph, a roster that prominently features Moe Harkless and a rotating cast of bad backup bigs, theΒ KingsΒ are an extremely competent 3-4 after nearly leaving Utah with a win Tuesday night.
Holmes is why. Heβs superficially a βniceβ player to most, averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds and shooting short-range floaters that are just funky enough to be sort of interesting, but not anybodyβs idea of a star. However, thereβs an efficiency here that gets lost. Heβs shooting 68.2 percent after making 63.7 percent a year ago; unlike most bigs, heβs also a good foul shooter, and heβs competent enough from the elbows to average nearly two assists for every turnover.
Overall, heβs not the classic stretch big that everyone clamors for these days β¦ and heβs not a major low-post threat β¦ and heβs not an awesome rim runner pulling down lobs from above the square. Heβs just kind of good at a lot of different stuff, the type of subtle skill set that would get lost in the shuffle even if he played in New York.
Add it all up and heβs β¦ 11thΒ in the league in PER? Just ahead ofΒ Anthony Davis? Really?
Yes, really.
And then you look at his impact stats and β¦ holy moly. Last yearβs Kings were bad β¦ except when Holmes played, when they outscored opponents by 0.3 points per 100 possessions. They were 29-32 when he played β¦ and 2-9 when he didnβt.
This year, itβs even more ridiculous. Itβs early, and on-off data are noisy and all that, but this some absurd stuff. The Kings have a plus-8.4 rating when Holmes plays β¦ and are minus-17.7 when he doesnβt. Whatβs amazing is that these numbers arenβt connected to a particular unit; no other King has splits anywhere near this large. Five of the Kingsβ top six two-man units are βHolmes and somebody else.β It was the same thing in 2020-21 β Holmes-BagleyΒ was the Kingsβ top plus-minus unit, for crying out loud, and it wasnβt because of the Bagley part.
