Why did Hermione pack a tent, tea and a kettle but NO FOOD in her beaded bag?

This is honestly one of my biggest annoyances with the entire series. Their complete incompetence with feeding themselves when camping in the tent. There's soooooo many ways they can get food. And it makes zero sense to think Hermione wouldn't have at least packed shelf stable foods into her bag, if she already had an idea they might end up camping.

And as Hermione explains, once you have some you can increase the quantity. So once they get ahold of some food, like the eggs and bread wtf don't they increase the quantity of it before cooking it so they can have eggs and bread for awhile? Or infinite cans of tinned pears. 😀

LPT: if you're making food that requires boiled water use a kettle to bring the water to boil quicker

Sometimes you need to boil water when making pasta, rice, or some other food. If you have an electric kettle or a regular stovetop ketlle, you can quickly boil the water and add it to the pot to speed up the process.

LPT: To descale a kettle or shower, use cheap citric acid bought for food use.

Many descaling products use a small amount of pure citric or lactic acid to remove lime scale build up. These dedicated products can cost many times that of bulk citric acid used for things like cheesemaking, where hundreds of grams can cost the same as a few small 25g sachets. In addition, it doesn’t have the smell of vinegar, a common alternative to standard descaling products.

Food allergy to kettle potato chips

I've been dealing with my first food allergy and narrowed it down to Kettle chips or processed cheese (think kraft singles.)

Kettle chips are pretty simple, potato, safflower oil or canola oil or sunflower oil and salt. Not produced in a facility with peanuts. Could it depend on the oil used? I get an itchy rashes all over that last a day or so. And a strange itchy patch in the center of my hand.

I also had a reaction after eating taco bell quesadilla.

I have an appointment with an allergist, but thought I'd check here to see if someone had a similar reaction. Thanks!

New way to get food: The Kettle

The kettle would be a block that lets you cook different types of soups and stews. It would have a crafting recipe along the lines of; = Iron +Brewing stand ' nothing

=-=

=-=

=+=

You'll have to right click it with a thick potion to fill it. Normal water won't work.

Once you've done that you'll be able to put your ingredients in, you start with what I'd call the base ingredient. The base ingredient would determine the name and hunger bars it fills. Base ingredients would be:

  • raw chicken (chicken soup)
  • red/brown mushroom (mushroom stew)
  • kelp (sea soup)
  • fish (fish soup)
  • beetroot (beetroot stew)

After a few settings the base of the soup is done. Now it's time to put the secondary ingredient in. This will add a prefix to the name and decide the saturation / extra effects. Secondary ingredients would be:

  • golden carrot (adds the "golden" prefix to the soup /stew and has high saturation)
  • golden apple (adds the "healthy" prefix and has a lower saturation but gives golden apple effects.)
  • any flower (adds the "suspicious" prefix and gives low saturation)

Edit: once the soup is done, you can fill 3 bowls with the soup or right click the liquid in the kettle with your hand to eat 1/3rd from it in one big sip

I don't really have any ideas for other base and secondary ingredients. Let me know what you think of this idea and / or what you would change. Criticism is welcome!

We are looking to be here for a minimum of 6 months and all we have at the moment are pot noodles. I was wondering if you guys could think of anything else so that we could switch it up a bit?

EDIT The kettle is the only appliance allowed. It was provided by the hotel and they have specifically said that we aren’t allowed to bring anything else in to cook with. Sorry I didn’t say this originally :)

Looking for a commerical kitchen so I can get my kettle corn business a mobile food vendors license

Hello! Like the title says, I'm in need of a commerically licensed kitchen to be a "base of operations" for my kettle corn business. Basicly the law says I need a place to wash my utensils and dispose of grease (which I wont even need to do) I wouldn't have to pop on site, but if that was wanted, it could be a great way to drawn in additional customers that wouldn't have otherwise came in. Ideally I'd like to be somewhat close to the ag reserve. (Boyds/Clarksburg/poolesville) but beggars can't be choosers! Anyone have any thoughts on what restaurants might be open to this and who could possibly benefit from partnering with a kettle corn guy?

Hot Kettle CafΓ© food

Hey guys, I’m sorry if this has been posted about already, but I just recently bought Danger on Deception Island to play during quarantine and something’s missing! I last played this game when I was maybe 13 and remember Jenna’s amazing clam chowder and muffins. It was one of my favourite parts of the game. But for some reason I don’t have the option to order from her. Did they take away this feature? I’m very sad about it.
