New year; new beginnings. Pauly is dusting off the turntables and finally headed back out on tour. Deena's Baby Meatball #2 is almost here, and Mike is ready to officially become “Big Daddy Sitch.” But nothing could prepare him for what happens next.

I’m an amateur historian in Philly currently writing my first-ever book, Killing Shore: The True Story of Hitler’s U-boats Off the New Jersey Coast. I have contract offers from two publishers so far and I’m hoping to have the full manuscript submitted in a few months. There were hundreds of sinkings off the US coast from Maine to the Gulf of Mexico, but I chose to focus on NJ-area sinkings to give the book a more “local” angle. I am also a scuba diver and have dived several of these wrecks, many of which are regular dive & fishing spots.
The book connects 12 separate ships sunk off NJ during 1942-1944 into a single narrative about how the German U-boat campaign against the East Coast began and how it was eventually defeated. Each sinking gets its own chapter.
Each chapter features multiple perspectives (U-boat captains & crews, merchant mariners, US military personnel, and ordinary New Jersey residents.) I’ve taken no creative license- although presented in a dramatic fashion, it’s 100% factual. The book strongly focuses on the human aspect of the men involved in these events: how did they end up in these circumstances , what did they experience, and what happened to the survivors in the years afterward?
I have an unrelated full time career, so this project has consumed almost all of my free time since I began it in March. I’m very excited to finally get the finished draft submitted.
Vinny and Pauly were tied for my favorite guy during the original show, and Jenni was my favorite of the women. Now, Vinny and Jenni are my least favorites (I’m still catching up on Season 4 though), and Mike is my favorite out of all of them. So, I was just curious if anyone else had a major change in who their favorite members of the cast are.
I just really want to rant and no one I know irl watches Jersey Shore anymore!
I just got past the Note™️ and the fight that resulted from it. The way Sammi thinks she kicked Jenni’s ass and kept referring to her as a “beast” when they had their shift together and got offended that Jenni came close to her during their shift. “Ew stay away from me” and “are you messed in the head?” just because Jenni walked past her. I know the whole note thing was stupid but she got so aggressive towards someone who was once her friend.
I know the entire group were toxic and Ronnie was abusive but damn she was immature too. Even going into season 3 she does herself no favours and I can see why she rubbed so many people the wrong way.
Considering it was such a success. Why did it last only 6 seasons? Was it because Snooki was pregnant? Or certain cast members were fairly old? Although Geordie shore should have ended at series 14, I can’t help but think the fact the cast were all under like 27 was a big factor to it’s success.
