#Week 9 Fantasy Hockey Guide
After a couple of weeks of tinkering, I think I finally found the best plan moving forward. I sacrificed quality for quantity last week with the last 14 day charts, which I personally thought was great as it covered over 200 players, providing a ton of options for y'all, especially if you lost out on a certain streamer. Moreover, I added SH% category to help identify if a player is on an unsustainable heater or if they can be a long-term hold. However, u/var18 raised a question in regards to interpreting the data from the tables which I can see how it can cause confusion.
So moving forward, I'll continue with identifying 20-30 players who I think are some of the best waiver pickups for the week. I've also decided to remove the table from the Weekly Preview section and instead, write out my thoughts for the week which was something I did last year. You guys and gals will spend less time scrolling and it will be a lot more helpful to ensure that the quality is there. Sometimes, reading is easier than crunching the numbers. I totally get it.
But man does it feel good to finally have time to write about some hockey. Well actually, I'm procrastinating and sacrificed a bit of my exam studying time. But it's okay, everyone's eating this week. Speaking about this week, let's jump straight into this week's guide, shall we?
#Week Preview
Look Mom, I'm on TV!
This week features the first team with a 5 game schedule with the winner being the Anaheim Ducks. So make sure you go ahead and pick up those Ducks to get in as many games as you can for the week.
10 teams are slated to play 4 games this week and those teams are CAR, COL, DAL, MIN, NSH, NJD, NYR, PHI, STL, and VAN.
Luckily for you guys and gals, all the other teams play 3 games this week so no one will be missing out on the action!
Maximizing your schedule
When it comes to maximizing your schedule, COL and VAN are the two teams to target as they play 4 games on off-days! Per Mike Chambers of The Denver Post, Darcy Kuemper could return either against PHI or NYR during their road trip. While VAN is currently a dumpster fire (P.S. don't fire Benning, I think that he's a great GM and the league loses if he goes!!!), all four of their games are at home.
NJD, NYR, and PHI are some other good options as not only do they have 3 off-day games, they play a total of 4 games this week. VGK also have a 3 of

Huge shoutout to u/jaylemi for giving me his seal of approval to bring back Waiver Wire Warriors. All player ownership percentages are derived from Yahoo. Players who are less than 80% rostered are only featured and the stats are from the last 14 days.
Hey how's it going everyone, it's been a while since I've posted so I hope y'all are doing well.
For today, I'll be doing something a little different. There won't be a weekly preview from me this week but you can check out the one that u/Phan_ created by clicking here.
I know some of you nerds are in super deep leagues so instead of writing up about 25 players, I created this table to help you guys see who has been the most productive over the last 14 days. I've included categories, such as +/-, PIM, and SHO for those whose leagues are counting those categories. I've also included SH% to help you guys determine whose goal production will be sustainable.
For those who have been following me for the last year, I'm sorry. I know y'all know I'm a big believer in quality content but sacrificing quality for quantity will allow me to help out as many people as I can, whether if they're playing in a deep or shallow league. The issue with writing up 25 players is that they're usually gone by the time you open up your fantasy app. But with +200 players, you'll have a ton of options. Let me know what you think of this idea!
Other than that, I hope this will help y'all! As always, if you have any questions, reach out via the comments/PM or on Twitter @vizionsnaps. School's been really busy and I know I haven't really been active so if it's urgent, just DM me.
Thank you guys for the support, appreciate it as always! If you want to buy me a coffee and help out with my studying, feel free to do so clicking on the link below! <3

As you consider who might somehow win the ACC (somebody has to after all), some recent historical background: only 3 teams have won the acc more recently than wake forest: Clemson, FSU, and VT. In fact, those are the only teams other than Wake Forest (note the one βrβ in βForestβ) to have ever won an ACC Championship Game. Hell, Louisville, Syracuse and NC State have never even played in the ACC Championship Game. BC, the entire Coastal division aside from VT, and Notre Dame are all winless in ACC Championship Games.
Of the 3 non-Wake Forest teams to have won an ACCCG, Virginia Tech lost to West Virginia and looked pathetic against Richmond. They arenβt really a threat. Clemson already has a conference loss and will probably take another on Saturday. FSU might lose to UMass.
(And yes, GT fans, you technically won one in 2009, but vacated wins donβt count here. If we let cheaters get credit for winning the ACC, UNC would probably have one too.)
βSure, theyβre 4-0, but they havenβt played anyone, so why should we believe in the Deacs?β You may ask. Iβll tell you. Wake Forest is one of 3 teams to be in the top 10 for both offensive and defensive points per drive (UGA, Michigan) source, top 5 for turnover margin and red zone defense source, and has the best kicker in NCAA history source. If thatβs not enough for you to believe in the Deacs, I donβt know what will do it, but Iβm going to convince you anyway.
Weβre not playing hero ball out here. There arenβt any ACC POTY candidates on the field. Itβs assignment defense and sharing the ball offensively. Itβs a stupidly bizarre mesh-point RPO that baffles other defenses, even in Clawsonβs 8th season in the ACC. Sam Hartman isnβt Brennan Armstrong or even Sam Howell, but he takes care of the football gets it to the playmakers at WR. Also, he has eaten a hamburger before, which makes him the best Sam H. in the acc.
βBut weβve seen this before in 2019, but you fell apart and let us down, leaving clemson to win yet again. Why is this year any different?β You may ask. I hear you. Letβs take a look.
That 2019 team was already showing signs of weakness when they were ranked 19th in the AP poll at 5-0 through their non-conference schedule and first ACC game. 24-18 vs UNC. 38-
... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
