Was recently replying the first game and was dreading my least favourite areas being The Spider Cave and Boggy Swamp. The tasks for power cells were tedious, the areas were laid out terribly and the overall design of these zones are depressing. Just curious as to what everyone else's was, and why?
Jak's Uncle and Mar Theory:
Jak's supposed "uncle" in The Precursor Legacy (the Explorer) is actually the uncle of the Warrior from Rock Village and the Warrior is Mar, Jak's earliest known ancestor. If the Warrior is Mar then the Explorer is still genetically related to Jak. The Warrior had green hair and Jak's hair has green roots which could be a genetic trait.
After hearing how Jak saved Rock Village from Klaww and the rest of the land from Gol and Maia's attempt to open the Dark Eco Silos, the Warrior regained his confidence to fight and would do so shortly after Jak inadvertently releases the ancient Hora-Quan (Metal-Heads) into the world. By fighting against the Hora-Quan, the Warrior is eventually redeemed from cowardice and dejection from his encounter with Klaww.
In light of the Hora-Quan resurgence, the Precursors re-emerged and chose Mar to protect the world from the "metal scourge". The Warrior was the only fighter-like character from The Precursor Legacy.
Game Geography Theory:
With the assistance of the Precursors, the Metal-Heads were driven back temporarily while Sandover Village began to expand into a larger town, the start of what would be Haven City. The city's shield wall would be easily installed using the Blue Sage's levitation device. Weaponry was also powered from red and yellow eco with the aid of the same colored Sages.
Using a geographical map of the Jak and Daxter world, Haven City's Pumping Station matches the same location as Geyser Rock which would make an efficient water source. Edit: I mistook the location of Geyser Rock as being WEST of Sandover Village when in fact it is West of Misty Island. Both islands are south of Samos's Hut placing Geyser Rock between Misty Island and the Strip Mine (unless Misty Island IS the Strip Mine since both islands have Dark Eco pools. I doubt this though since the Strip Mine's operations may risk breaching the Dark Eco Silo. On the other hand, the silo could have simply been off-map)
The Pumping station could be the withered remnants of Sentinel Beach. The ancient ruins and cannon tower were just cleared away either from construction or destroyed in the Metal Head War. Sentinel Beach was, in a way, a "pumping station" as there were water wheel attached to the windmills.

I (as well as others) really enjoy the Jak and Daxter series. Whether we will ever get Jak 4 or even a remaster of the original games (like we have for Crash and Spyro) is very unlikely. But! What could it hurt? I say we all write to Naughty Dog and inquire about it. Maybe something could come of it? What are your thoughts??
Mine would be having the one Zoomer race in J+D in Precursor Basin be a repeatable track, as having it accomplishable only once blocks off a really interesting part of the game as well as takes away the ability to race against yourself.
I’m itching for a new era of VR platformers with the same charm and length as the above games. They may have died out on pancake games, but I feel like they have a good chance to be reborn in VR.
Because playing the Vita collection was absolute hell and I nearly threw Vita away in rampage. =D So I wanna know if the PS4 port has a good optimalisation.
