Insulated shipping container Puns

The insulated container is appealing because it is easy to have transported to another location across Australia's vast distances.

It's technically possible to transport it overseas as well but it's problematic (private container; insurance; customs; etc.).

The plan is to fit it out as a single person relocatable dwelling that will be as off-grid as practical, including items such as:

• Incineration toilet;
• Water generator with internal potable water tankage;
• Greywater handling;
• Split system air conditioning;
• Full bathroom with claw tub & washing machine;
• Full kitchen with oven; range; & dishwasher;
• Separate bedroom with a wardrobe and closeable door;
• Solar electric array on-roof with grid connection although I want to be able to operate off-grid as well;
• Solar hot water collector and store;
• Tower for TV antenna and internet access;
• Skylights like a solatube with integrated LED lighting http://solatube.com.au/led-lighting/ ;
• Heat recovery ventilation to turn over the interior air but not loose the warmth/cool;

Just to do this project I have to get planning permission since I'll be allowing myself two years for the fitout;

I'll have to get permission from the landlord;

The container will have to be craned into location.

Alternately I can put it into it's final location out on our block and do the work out there.

I’ve been doing my research on shipping container homes and I cane across a video of the cons. The woman in the video was saying that as the shipping container goes between winter and summer if you only insulate the inside there’ll be mold and rot. I’ll attach the video below. Would you say this is still necessary if you build the home in a warmer climate like the southern US states?
