A list of puns related to "Hogwarts Legacy"

The article cites Colin Moriarty who states on his podcast that heβs heard that the game is having developmental issues and that itβs not coming out this year.
All this daily stuff is absolutely annoying me. Log in 6h to eat with a friend, log in after 2 more hours to play with your friend.. Feed daily 20 different beasts.. You have to log in every now and then in this mobile game to get your stuff done and it's so annoying. I really hope that HL is more of an game and less of an full time job.
Was just curious to see what names people have got in mind for their characters when the game releases (whenever that may be). Are you going to use your real name, made up name or even a name from the Harry Potter / Fantastic Beasts films?
Avalanche Software have confirmed that official news will be coming "next year" on their Twitter page. But don't put your hopes down, because I believe that this most likely means that we'll be getting news during the 20th anniversary!
If not, at least this puts all the leakers who said the news is coming this year to shame. I think they have done us a favour here, and stopped us from speculating news at different events and disappointing ourselves.
Think on the bright side! We finally have something to go off of!

I hope that the castle can be fully explored. I also hope for a great weather and season system so I can watch stunning sun sets from the astronomy tower or fly on my broom around the castle in dense fogs! What about you?
Edit: Do I need to mention Hogwarts at Christmas? Yes, I do!
I'm thinking around March.

The job listing also mentions that applicants' experience should have a preference for "human anatomy," as Hogwarts Legacy will still primarily revolve around normal humans, including via character creation. A leak of the Hogwarts Legacy character creation page revealed options for in-depth facial features and clothing.
Just curious if itβs been confirmed somewhere.
I was wondering what everyoneβs opinion about the Triwizard Tournament in Hogwarts Legacy. Does anyone think it will be in the game or not? And tell me why? Iβm curious as to what everyone thinks.
The recent news of Redkite games working on Hogwarts Legacy has brought out a new hype in me. The main reason for this is because I've been playing a lot of the game "Control" lately. Redkite worked on Control, a "winner of over 80 awards", as well as being a "third-person action-adventure" game, which can also be used to describe Hogwarts Legacy.
Control has the most incredible destruction physics I've ever witnessed, as outside of the combat I'm usually spending my time seeing how I can break each individual draw off of a chest of draws, or break each individual leg off of a wooden chair. Aiding this, Control gives the player telekinesis, allowing mass destruction of everything the player can see.

Following the gameplay trailer for Hogwarts Legacy from years ago, we can see that the character uses "stupefy" on the pillars holding up the ceiling in order to bring it crashing down upon their enemies. The character also uses "expulso" to destroy the door in front of them. This is sort of similar to how the character in Control can 'shoot' a wave of telekinesis to destroy objects or enemies, as well as being able to pick up objects/ the ground with her mind and throw it at enemies.

We don't know exactly how long Redkite has worked on Hogwarts Legacy, but if they have implemented destruction physics similar to Control or even upgraded them (Control released in 2019), then you already KNOW the destruction physics are going to be fantastic. If Redkite is also helping out with the spells in the game, I'm confident combat will be great too!
Regardless of whether or not Redkite worked on the base game, I'm still really glad to see that two other studios are working together with Avalanche to make this game possible!
Choose the game you are expecting Hogwarts legacy will be similar to.
I've never pre-ordered a game for a console. My sister is looking forward to the game and her bday is at the end of January so I wanted to pre-order the game for her. The only place I've seen that you can pre-order is on a British site I think or at least it's in pounds. Does anyone know if I can pre-order the game from like best buy or eb games, when I can or if those British sites will ship to Canada?
Seeing how the pandemic caused the chip shortages thusly causing consoles to not be coming out as often as they should, and how we are on that phase of moving on from last gen, it makes me wonder at the possibilities.
The norm right off the bat is that usually we still have games releasing for last generation consoles despite the current generation consoles being around, but now with the chip shortage into play, itβs even worse than what it was.
Not many people currently have a current generation console, as in a PS5 or Series X. So if they make games exclusively for that, then they wonβt be making a lot of money since again, no one really has those consoles whilst everyone has a PS4 and Xbox One.
Games such as God of War Ragnarok or Elden Ring are already looking to be released on last generation consoles and I mean these are huge games on top of that. So Hogwarts Legacy, Starfield, Sonic Frontiers, Suicide Squad, Gotham Knights, etc⦠could all these AAA games coming out in 2022 and maybe even 2023 could run well on last generation consoles with 30FPS at 1080p.
And god almighty please donβt mention Cyberpunk 2077. We canβt compare Cyberpunk to all these other games. Cyberpunk had an awful development to where Activision didnβt give CD Red Project enough time to finish Cyberpunk, which is why it ended up being awful especially on last generation hardware. A company to mess up that bad is rare, but if the company does good and really good at that, then games on last generation hardware will run just fine.
Elden Ring is already looking to be good on a base PS4 and Xbox One and thatβs a huge AAA 2022 game.
I donβt know much about video game industry but as a marketing professional, this is how I would promote Hogwarts Legacy.
Until now most of theories supposed that Hogwarts Legacy will be marketed as a any AAA game could be. But remember that HL first targets Harry Potter fans and not hardcore gamers.
I would build my marketing campaign alongside Fantastic Beast and 20th anniversary event to hype the market with plenty of Harry Potter News.
I donβt except a gameplay to be revealed during the 20th anniversary but I remember that WB registered a « Harry Potter fandomΒ Β» domain a few months ago. We could have a dedicated event following the anniversary and focusing on what comes next for the wizarding world licenses : FB, the HBO rumored production, updates for mobile games and of course Hogwarts Legacy. Just like what they did with DC fandom last year.
The anniversary plays on nostalgia, bring the license under spolights, simply announce the fandom event, hype it up.
3-4 weeks later the fandom event take place with new trailers for everything and release dates.
Hogwarts Legacy will be released alongside with the FB movie.
That seems like an interesting marketing plan to me, similar to how WB usually works. Of course this is pur marketing and it totally ignore the game development state.
Thatβs it, happy to share my evening thoughts with you :)
Hi Iβm new to the subreddit and Iβd like to post a wishlist of things Iβd love to see in the game. Iβd love to hear your thoughts as well!
First and foremostβ¦PLEASE OH PLEASE LET US PLAY QUIDDITCH
I hope they have like an introduction to where you get to explore Diagonal Alley imagine if they let us have a companion like an owl or a carβ¦or a shape shifting cowardly rat
Iβd love to go to Ollivanders to either make a wand OR do a sort of survey and let the game decide what wand is best for me
I saw that we can choose houses and what not so with that being said I hope there are different NPCs or the people who could potentially be your friends or enemy be different for what house you choose
I hope the story is long with A LOT of side missions plus end game stuff like classes or wizards chess
I have a half glass full expectations of this game my idea of it is itβll be like a mixture of Skyrim and Bully I know some if any of this stuff probably wouldnβt pop up in the game but itβs fun to play around with the idea while we wait.
Like the rest of you I canβt wait to get my hands on it and to hear more about it as we draw closer
Like many of you, I am excited for Hogwarts Legacy and have been eagerly anticipating the release of the game and any updates along the way.
Being so eager, I searched to see if there were any other games similar to Hogwarts Legacy.
The first game I found was Hogwarts Mystery, an immensely popular (probably the most popular Harry Potter game) single-player phone game. I have been playing this for about 6 months now. The game is basically like a storyboard. To progress through the story you need to energy (to do things like interact with characters, complete quests and do classes). Energy is something which regenerates slowly over time. The game is riddled with microtransactions. You can buy energy. You can also buy gems to speed up your progress in the game or buy in-game cosmetics. The game is made by a company which is involved in the making of Hogwarts Legacy.
The second game I found was Floo Network, a Harry Potter RPG set in Minecraft. This game is probably as close to a Harry Potter RPG as you can get. There are no microtransactions. Unlike Hogwarts Mystery, there is a 3D world for you to explore in. You can do quests, take classes and interact with the world.
I have played both games. And from playing these games, I have developed some thoughts on Hogwarts Legacy. I'll summarise some of my thoughts below. Let me know what you think. Here goes:
Will it involve microtransactions?
I hope not. Hogwarts Mystery (a game riddled to death with microtransactions), which is associated with Portkey Games, is involved in the making of Hogwarts Mystery. Many of the mechanics and animations also appear to be quite similar to Hogwarts Legacy eg the same pets, feeding creatures, buying clothes, etc. I have no doubt that some of the elements from Mystery will be present in some form in Legacy.
What will classes be like?
A fundamental part of any Harry Potter game is taking classes.
In Hogwarts Mystery, you do this by literally tapping on the screen, which takes up energy points. On average it takes about 3 hours or so to finish a class (although length varies).
In Floo Network (the Minecraft HP RPG), classes involve simiulations: going through a maze and finding items or battling a series of monsters using spells. This occurs within the classroom - to start the class you have to enter a separate room and complete these activities.
Will it be like Witcher 3?
I hope it will be. It would ruin it for me if Portkey essentially remakes
... keep reading on reddit β‘Every time HL comes up in conversation, someone inevitably mentions the CP letdown. The devs are almost certainly aware of this comparison.
I argue that this awareness will help them avoid making the same mistakes.
That obviously does not mean all of our sky high expectations will be met but I think it helps.
Personally keeping mine on the moon.
Another user posted this to the games subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/HarryPotterGame/comments/qo4hv5/warner_bros_hints_at_hogwarts_legacy_being thought I'd share it here.
The movie releases April 8th.
All this does is let us know that it won't release in the 1st Quarter of next year. Still leaves the other 9 months. Not surprising since there hasn't been any marketing.

Video is from Warner Bros. Games Linkedin page. Link below.
With other current & unreleased games featured in the video that have online/multi-player like, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, Gotham Knights, and more. Hogwarts Legacy being featured among those type of games gives me hope of a online, social, or multi-player feature coming to the game at launch or later. Thoughts??
I made a video about this if you'd like to check that out too.
Anyone else absolutely stoked for this game? I know the main sub for this is desperate for news, but havenβt seen any discussion here. Hereβs to hoping 2022 brings some sort of news about it.

Greetings dear potterheads. I don't know how many players are in this community but I would be interested in your opinion on this game. Every day I wait until they finally send it to the world, it looks amazing
Hey guys,Millie A, a very trustworthy insider, has just teased that we may be getting some new HL information soon. Maybe we will see something in November rather than in TGA as previously reported?
EDIT: Link

I was wandering Hogwarts legacy is an RPG game and we (the players) will have our own characters that will have different names and that brings up the question; How will the NPCs use our names? Do you thing it will be written down like in Hogwarts mystery? Dont think we'll want that, what do you suggest will happen?
Imagine if James Newton Howard was secretly composing for it, how awesome would that be!
