A list of puns related to "Henry rifle"
Hey everyone,
I wanted to find some information on the manufacturers of Martini Henrys. It looks like most are made by Enfield but a few are made by other manufacturers. Does this effect the value/ quality of the rifle? What manufacturer/ version should I look for?
I find it the best if you can used to the 400 muzzle velocity
Was tidying up the place and pulled out my Henry Big Boy in 357 magnum just to see how everything looked before a possible range trip, come to find out, somehow, the ejector spring completely broke off, snapped like a twig right at the part where the spring enters the ejector, now, anyone who owns a Henry rifle, or a Marlin for that matter, knows it's just a thin piece of metal shoved into another bit of metal, super easy to snap off. And if that part breaks, you got nothing more than a giant club in your hand. And it's not like the AR market that's so over saturated you can buy the best quality parts anywhere that sells AR parts, nope, you're dependent on OEM, and hope they got parts in stock. More than that it's the irritation that the ejector can easily pop out and is a pain to shove back in. You'd think with how much Henry charges for these guns they could splurge on stronger, single piece ejectors that can abuse.
Well, I emailed Henry's Customer Service to see if they can ship me a new ejector because everything else looks fine, but if I have to send it to Henry for service, so be it. Just not what I wanted to happen right now. Course, now it's made me gunshy about buying future lever rifles if this is a common problem. And made me triple down on researching manufactures before any future purchase, seems like the bean counters and MBA losers are ruining everything in manufacturing anything.
TL; DR: Henry ejector spring snapped completely off, needs replacement, Henry needs to get better at QC and invest in better parts manufacturing. Very frustrated and grumpy over money woes.
*EDIT* this morning get an email from Henry say theyβll send the replacement at no cost, so people are correct in saying Henry Rifle customer service is excellent. Less grumpy today
