I finished The Last of Us Part II over the weekend. It was fine, but some aspects of it really rubbed me the wrong way. I just don't understand what narrative purpose it served for Tommy and Maria to be a married couple. They talk about their marriage and how they seperate at the end. It was really off-putting because it felt like they were forcing it down my throat. What was the reason why they had to be together? To score brownie points for straights?

I tried to brush it aside but then we get introduced to Abby. Its clear very early on that she has romantic feelings for Owen. More straights?! And then, the two have a sex scene. It's very in your face and it just screams agenda. It seemed like Naughty Dog just wanted to appease the straight community instead of focusing on the story.

They were some natural and organic characters in the game like Ellie, Lev, and Dina (who had a male partner in the past). But they just had to ruin it by forcing an agenda. I don't have a problem with straight people (my landlord is straight), but I do have a problem with them having to be in everything. I was playing this with my seven year old, and after a couple of murders, dog stabbings, and blowing off people's heads, I had to take him out of the room when Owen and Mel kissed. It's just ridiculous we can't have family friendly entertainment anymore.

Overall, do better Naughty Dog.

The Context

Yesterday I made the mistake of engaging with a user in this thread in the "MilitaryPorn" subreddit. People were discussing atrocities and brutality committed by US soldiers in wartime and I posted the following comment regarding the Pacific theater of WWII:

Given this, I think it's fair to claim that labeling cultural history, or the study of culture in history, as "bullshit" shows a complete lack of understanding of the method of historical research and purposefully

A lot of people are criticizing things about this movie, and yet I think it was an anticipated reaction - I think Lana very intentionally went against what people wanted. I also don't think it was the right move.

It seems clear to me that Lana Wachowski was not initially keen on making this movie:

There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Conflict: “It is. It should give the Dunarian Warrovers a bit of a challenge. I heard that the defences on Linadu II have been modified by the new occupants to offer more of a challenge to ground assaults. Crouched down behind a burning android tank, Vuxten watched his heat and slush drop. The last push had gotten within a hundred meters of the parking lot before it had been driven back by the combined firepower of Vuxten, Casey, and Daxin.

Trucker had ordered Casey to put high-ex into the buildings across the street to demolish them. While it left huge mounds of debris with plenty of cover, it eliminated the buildings themselves as cover and concealment.

"Do what you can," Vuxten answered. He checked the heat on the magac rifle he'd been firing, noting that the coils at the end had discolored slightly. "Trucker, I'm overslushed and overheated," Vuxten sent across the tightbeam command channel.

"Hold position. Moving assets to you," Trucker said back, his voice a strange combination of distant and intent.

"Roger," Vuxten said.

He looked over to where Daxin was standing out in the open in the middle of the parking lot.

The asphalt around him was bubbling and steaming, his boots sunk a good three inches into the melted tarmac. The battlescreens projected by his armor were glimmering, rippling energy intercepting high-v magac rounds, causing small explosions of sparks. Nearly twenty paces away FIDO was bouncing across the tarmac, the mortars by his hind legs popping off rounds every five seconds.

Daxin had his SMG held tight in one hand, the other hand resting on top of it, controlling it as the big Terran snapped out quick bursts, shifting aim rapidly. Vuxten could see every burst took an android in the chest, scooping it out like shucking an oyster. The android, without exception, collapsed, the chest nothing more than sparking electronics and destroyed synthetic organs.

Vuxten knew he had not moved in nearly ten minutes, drawing firepower from the androids.

Casey took three steps forward, braced himself, and fired the big cannon. The retort was an ear shattering sonic boom that vibrated Vuxten's suit over two hundred paces away. A bright line connected the cannon with

Laylow, born Jeremy Larroux on March 12, 1993, is an Ivorian-French rapper hailing from Toulouse. Raised in Toulouse and Abidjan, his introduction to hip-hop was through the American stars of the early and mid 2000s, namely G-Unit and Ja Rule.

TLDR: Karen Accused My "Heathens" of Waking Her Child; Now I Wake Him on Purpose!

My crib-midget has evolved into a min-human, and my mini-human is now in an adult male body which is, unfortunately, still outfitted with a teenage brain. Don't worry though, he knows everything! I myself have a late-30s model body, but my teenage brain is coming along well. That said, my loving wife is still able to maintain her sanity with 2.5 boys and .5 male adults in the house. However, the house was too small and we needed more leg room. We decided to move on up!

The new house is everything we wanted. There is ample room for the growing family. The boys would conquer the upstairs, and even have their own bathroom to grow "science experiments." They occasionally fail to brush their teeth but you can most certainly count on them to piss in/on everything except the toilet. Cake, my 11YO mini-human, shares my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and keeps his room in working order. Kelly, my 15YO Man-Child genius? Well, just don't touch that sock under his bed. Typical boy-shit I suppose.

My wife and I now had a backyard. We had a two-car garage to store her Christmas and Halloween decorations. The neighborhood is gorgeous, and I can literally walk to the clubhouse and play a round of golf. The cul-de-sac we live on is dominated by currently serving or retired military families. Everyone was extremely welcoming at the Home Owners Association (HOA), and the neighbors were all friendly. Well, at least for the moment!

I have read about neighbor horror stories. I have seen them on television. I never in a million years thought I would live next to "them". I am a gunfighter by trade. Believe it or not, I don't like war. I like my job, but I don't enjoy the carnage of war. I am a realist though. This list is mostly just to clean up your vault. And to ease up your mind to make the choice what you really need and what you never use, because there are better options. This is a list of every legendary non-sunset weapon that performs well in all PvE. There are a lot of different options, so I included everything worth your while. I am not listing all of the good perks that come on the weapons, because the post would be 3 times longer. If you want to know what the best perks are, there are a lot of videos on YT covering these weapons and their god rolls. But I will write down some desirable perks, that you should be looking for on every weapon class.

NOTE: I will also indicate if the weapon isn't the best, but can still perform good if you don't have the best option as honorable mention. There are some weapons that come only as an event weapon or are hard to get because of the source or are just unobtainable. As "hard to obtain" are weapons hard to get a good roll to a "casual" solo player. This includes Trials, Iron Banner, raid, dungeon, world, playlist and event weapons. This also includes weapons from the dreaming city, as they cannot be target farmed. And there are also weapons that just aren't currently obtainable (Summoner), or had their perk pools changed so they don't have as good perks as they used to have, as some really good weapons are still really good.

I was reading through what others have suggested are "must have" mods, and as per /u/Kabanisko 's suggestion, I pulled out all my mods, started a new colony and began looking for things that started to annoy me.

I tried to stick to mods that only did the following:

Riot Games updated the patch highlights on patch 10.14 and since then they've been sharing targeted skillband information or whether if it's pro or regular play oriented nerfs. I noticed a pattern over marksman nerfs and I wanted to share and discuss it.

Marksman champions got nerfed:

Furthermore some of the regular play nerfs are just reverting a buff, follow ups on Samira release or preseason balancing of champion's interactions with new systems.( Caitlyn nerfs on 10.17, Samira nerf on 10.24, Jhin and Samira nerfs on 10.25)

I added each explanations of nerfs in capitons and as you might notice as well most of the marksman nerfs are early game targeted. So because of all of these I thought balance framework is not suitable for balancing of marksman regular play.

My conclusion are:

• There are only 3 or 4 meta marksman at the same time and thus these marksmen get played every other game. Also there are always 2 marksman in every game and play against each other. Since they can play bad and get carried by their teams this makes popular marksmen's win rate converged to 50%.
• Balance framework is not a proper tool to determine whether a marksman champion is overpowered or underpowered in regular play
• Power distrubition of a marksman throughout the game phases is very important factor for balance team and early game power makes marksmen overpowered in pro play.
• Marksman champions almost never trigger regular play balance framework criteria. Probably an indication of lack of influence over a game.
• Marksman champions almost have to be overpowered in early game in order to be playable in pro play. Balance team is just shuffling which one is overpowered and if they don't marksmen will fall out of the meta in pro play.

My question is what can be done for better balancing of marksman's regular play? What method is can be used in the future?

INTRODUCTION

Like many of us, I knew nothing of the markets before the January sneeze. Since then, I have accumulated a general knowledge of the inefficiencies of the current market structure that lend to rampant corruption.

Two days ago, u/MatEngAero reminded us that the comment period was almost up on FINRA 21-19. I looked at the FINRA link briefly, found some other older posts from June on the topic and realized how significant it was, and got a brief message out. But I knew it needed a closer look, s

I'm personally playing on an Anbernic rg280v, but there are a lot of other pocketable devices that are not quite ergonomic enough for long sessions.

A few different ways you might like to use this list:

• Choose 1 game to load onto your device.
• Choose 1 game from each genre to load onto your device.
• Choose a bunch of quick session games to load onto your device.

You should probably avoid loading all of these onto a device. This will likely create analysis paralysis and you'll switch from game to game constantly. Not everyone is like this, but many are.

Tell me which are the worst games on the list? This list is for S-tier! This list is (almost) only for definitive editions!

Feel free to contribute games from systems I have not listed.

Which Tetris games should I remove?

Goals

• S-Tier games only! (Hidden emeralds aren't good enough. We only need hidden diamonds.)
• Only choose what seems like the absolute best of a genre rather than piling on endless variations that are very similar. This means there are not many beatemups or shmups, though I love both genres.
• Game must hold up. Take off your nostalgia glasses.
• No hand cramps. This means no long-form action/twitch/reflex things like action rpgs or first person shooters.
• Easily playable on a small screen.
• Definitive versions only. Not replaced by a better version or a better sequel on a different platform. (For example, I did not include Chrono Trigger because the DS version is notably improved.) I made exceptions for a couple of games such as Tetris.

Note: platformers generally do not meet the qualifications. If you know of one that is a special exception, please tell me! I think Kid Dracula works because it's very simple and you can complete sections of the game in a very short time.

I'm skipping everything newer than the PS1 except the GBA.

I finished The Last of Us Part II over the weekend. It was fine, but some aspects of it really rubbed me the wrong way. I just don't understand what narrative purpose it served for Tommy and Maria to be a married couple. They talk about their marriage and how they seperate at the end. It was really off-putting because it felt like they were forcing it down my throat. What was the reason why they had to be together? To score brownie points for straights?

I tried to brush it aside but then we get introduced to Abby. Its clear very early on that she has romantic feelings for Owen. More straights?! And then, the two have a sex scene. It's very in your face and it just screams agenda. It seemed like Naughty Dog just wanted to appease the straight community instead of focusing on the story.

They were some natural and organic characters in the game like Ellie, Lev, and Dina (who had a male partner in the past). But they just had to ruin it by forcing an agenda. I don't have a problem with straight people (my landlord is straight), but I do have a problem with them having to be in everything. I was playing this with my seven year old, and after a couple of murders, dog stabbings, and blowing off people's heads, I had to take him out of the room when Owen and Mel kissed. It's just ridiculous we can't have family friendly entertainment anymore.

#Overall, do better Naughty Dog.
