Chapter 1: Once Upon A Time, Winter White
Synopsis:
In the Dead Dragons Isles, there's a living house that acts as a Bed & Breakfast. It belong to the witch Baba Yaga and she lives there, along various goblins and her employees and guests: people who are running away.
These are the fairytales of the house residents and their growth, not only of Baba Yaga, but also of her daughter and apprentice, Vasilisa; the grumpy Animitem, Phosphorus Hans; the mute half merman, Voiceless Edrish; the technomancer, Hime and the newcomer and new cook of the house, Winter White.
Through the holes for her eyes in the mask, under the hood of the dark cloak she wore, Winter White saw the blurred image of the skull of the dragon Astrus, floating in distant space, its mouth perpetually open in the gesture of eating the moon.
He never got to do it, of course. When the young girl first heard his story, it was clear to her that Astrus was the bad guy, because he wanted to destroy the light in the night for his ambition. But as she grew older, the dragon seemed to the girl more and more pitiful. He came close to fulfilling his dream and died before he could complete it. He was still the bad guy in the movie, but with a sad ending to his story, or so she thought.
However, for her too, it was a good thing Astrus never got to swallow the moon, because now that she was crossing the forest, a couple of hours after fleeing home, Winter White couldn't ask for a better guide.
It was late, very late, but it had been years since the girl had started to wake up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep, so she kept walking through the trees, with the dry leaves of mid-autumn crunching under her boots and the dry branches towering over her as if they intended to claw at the sky.
If crossing the city alone had already made her nervous, you can imagine how she felt in the forest. At the moment Winter could only hear the croaking of frogs, the hooting of owls and the musical accompaniment of crickets. Not much more was needed, as she had a vivid imagination that filled the space between two trees with evil shadows or the occasional moment of silence with ominous murmurs. In between those short soundless seconds, a shriek echoed that made her hair stand on end and kept her crouched in the middle of the path until she realized it was only the sound of a distant horse.

I just bought my first house and my living room has a small dining with area and the chairs are watery green, the table glass, the rest of the furniture is white and the sofa is a very light grey. I wanted to paint a wall black and keep the decoration with these four colours, but I've been told this is "too much". Is it? What do you think? Any help is appreciated
Doc: That sounds like Tom Jones Syndrome!"
Billy: Is that common?
Doc: Well, It's Not Unusual!
