A list of puns related to "Great Moon Hoax"
In 1835, several hoax articles were released in βThe Sunβ, a New York newspaper, proclaiming that astronomer John Herschel had discovered life on the moon. Supposedly, Herschel had used an immensely strong telescope to view the surface of the moon, reporting that there were furry, bat-like humanoids living there, among other organic life.
