What an awesome album. Every song's a banger and the album as a whole works so good as a concept. (I just felt like posting this as I've been listening to this album so much recently.)
Don't get me wrong John Lennon and Paul Mccartney are masterful song writers and are the masterminds of majority of the Beatles albums. Rubber Soul to Abbey Road is the greatest stretch of albums in a row by any artist. However, it seems like Paul and John get too much of the lime light compared to George. Paul and John get blockbuster movies made about them and the majority of the documentaries focus on John and Paul. George created "Here Comes the Sun" the Beatles most listened to song as well as "Something" and "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" which are arguable the two best songs The Beatles have ever created. He also created groundbreaking experimental songs at the time infusing the Sitar ;"Within You without you" , "Love You To", etc. After the Beatles split up, every Beatle created solo work and Paul's, John's and Ringo Star's solo albums do not compare to "All Things Must Pass" imo and all the Beatles albums don't compare for that matter. Every song on that album flows so smoothly and every song is near perfection. This album really showed how much of a better songwriter he is compared to the other Beatles, based on Solo works. Overall he deserves more praise and recognition for his songwriting ability especially for his work on "All Things Must Pass".
I would even go as far to say the songs on the album beat his Beatles work too
