A list of puns related to "Ford Focus (third generation)"
Hi,
I've recently ordered a new car and I'm now considering how to sell my current one.
It's a 2007 Ford Focus (good spec), 73k miles, FSH, and we've owned it since brand new. Well looked after and good condition all round given its age.
Autotrader suggests they are being priced at around Β£2k but WBAC are only offering Β£870 which leaves quite a bit on the table!
I don't necessarily want the hassle of selling privately but going through WBAC leaves quite a lot on the table, I'd probably be happy with around Β£1400 if that's possible.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it common to call around local dealers in situations like this?
Thanks

I am u/Odd-Ad-900 and I am your mildly unhinged morning news anchor.
Yes, I took my Reddit given name. No, I am not "new". Calling me a shill? MGGA Please... (psshhhh)
I want to give A Big thank you to my news team u/blazlyn, u/viviconsadventures, u/tokyorose and our very own mods u/dismal-jellyfish and u/luma44 You guys are the best! And I couldn't do this without you.

God I love this job.

This is the way
"New GameStop hiring requirements has me bullish"
Delighting customers. This is all they have to do.
Evergrande is still defaulting again still... again Could this be part of a plan to keep APES attention off of something important?
There appears to be a lot of fuckery going on around this post... several mildly different fonts, differing post dates... it could be a plant to start a new narrative.
No Dates... but you know what tomorrow is? Seriously...
... keep reading on reddit β‘Please donβt berate me here! Iβm just looking to see if Iβm the only one with a Focus in these years that doesnβt have issues. Iβm a recent own of a 2014 Ford Focus and Iβm crossing my fingers that itβs not too good to be true that this car doesnβt have the dreaded transmission problems. It has 50,000 miles so I could be looking at those problems in the very near future. PLEASE donβt tell me I shouldnβt have bought this car. I already know that.. but unfortunately now Iβm stuck with it for the next few months so just wanting to take care of it and pass it along. Just wanting answers from people who havenβt had problems or from people who started having problems past my mileage mark. Thank you!
Would it be worth it to spend 18k on a used 2017 electric for my first car? Looking for an EV if possible and so far this is the only one that suits my needs
My Belgian family had the last name LefΓ¨vre, and they emigrated to the United States after the Great War. Unfortunately theyβve all since passed, and didnβt talk much about their home to my surviving family, but Iβve been wanting to reconnect to my Belgian heritage and learn more about the country.
You all have a gorgeous country with amazing historical cities and I love the culture, art, and food. Looking to learn more about the country and visit soon. Anyone have anything theyβd like to share about Belgium?
Edit: So my timeline was a little incorrect. They came prior to the Great War. I just found their Ellis Island paperwork:
Names: Saturnin [Saturnian?], Desiree, Audree, Earnest Lefevre. Came aboard the Kensington out of Antwerp in 1900.
Their home city is listed as "Lonvietz" Belgium, which I think might be a transcription error. Perhaps it means Lontzen or LonzΓ©e? I can't find anything pertaining to a town called "Lonvietz" online.
Do you also want this?
Iβve got myself narrowed down to these two.
2015 Ford Focus SE (Sport Package); $14,499; 45.5k miles
2014 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club (Hard Top Convertable); $17,999; 47.5k miles
One seems like the more cost-savvy option while the other seems the more fun/enjoyable option. Daily use, short commute, both are within my price range. All things considered, what would you go with?
Edit: Had no idea about the Focus clutch/transmission issues. Pretty much the only reason the Focus was in the running was for reliability/cost to own. With a known issue like that it seems the Miata is the clear winner here. I appreciate everyoneβs input!
Was driving the car a few hours from home during the holidays. I stopped to get gas, and when I started the car again, I got a message saying the power steering was out. The steering was heavy, but with no other option, I drove the car home.
When I took it to the dealer, it worked normally. They want $4100 to completely replace the whole system, but that's like half the value of the car. This is not an option I'm super excited about.
Ever since the initial incident, everything has been working normally. I'd love to just ignore the problem and keep driving to work, but I obviously have concerns. Is it reasonable to keep driving the car as long as it's running properly? Is it safe to drive it even if I need to work a little harder turning the wheel? Or am I a moron who is sure to die in a fiery wreck?
We have a Ford Focus Titanium 2010, and in the last 6 months all 4 tires have had to be replaced on separate occasions due to punctures. Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this, or what we can do to prevent it? Thank you.
Hey everyone, I need help. My first car I ever bought lasted me a month and kinda screwed me over. The guy I bought from was a friend and there ended up being a lot of things wrong with the car. Im definitely a little nervous my second time around buying a car and this time Iβm looking at a Ford Focus. I have an appointment to get it checked out by a mechanic but I would like to know are the things they say about Ford true? Should I not consider this car because itβs a Ford and just get back to looking, or do they turn out to be good reliable cars?
I've always been a fan of the focus rs, being a hatchback.... Has power, only comes in manual... AWD which is great for me in Minnesota.... I have 15k as of right now.... Do I save a for a bit longer and get a focus rs? Is it worth the wait? To me it is but I thought Id ask around... Thanks
Hola muchachos.
