A list of puns related to "Fluoride toxicity"
One dentist asking the others. Let me give you a bit of context:
One of my friends asked me once: "so, why do you recommend fluoride if it's toxic?" Me: "it's not toxic. In large quanteties it can cause fluorosis in children during permanent tooth formation, but that's it. Doesn't affect adults." Him: "no, not that, I'm talking about neuro-toxicity" Me:"...what?" Him: "yeah man. Don't they teach you about that in med school?"
So, I legit have no idea what he was talking about. I read a study about people in I can't remember what part of the world, blaming fluoride for causing a generation of kids to have low IQs. An university performed a study in the area. They found that there was no correlation or causation between the two. The kids were just naturally with low IQs.
Any other dentists know any studies or researches about this before I tell my friend he's a quack?
Apparently fluoride is bad for you, which is why you shouldn't swallow toothpaste or drink tap water (among other reasons you shouldn't drink tap water).
F-Phenibut and Flmodafinil seem to be modified versions of phenibut and modafinil, and both include fluoride.
Is this fluoride safe because it exists as part of a larger molecule, or is it still harmful like sodium fluoride is?
Or am I completely off base here in general?
I have a mature potted dracaena that's been in ill health for a few months. After some experimentation and observation, I'm about 90% sure that it's suffering from fluoride toxicity which these kinds of plants can be susceptible to. (I've been giving it city water since I brought it in for the winter and our water is fluoridated and very hard. I've held off on watering for the past week or so).
What's my next best step? Would flushing it with distilled water wash away the fluoride? Or should I change the soil? I don't know how badly fluoride lingers in soil.
Thanks!
Also isn't the fluoride bond the strongest in chemistry? Couldn't it be much better to have different bonds that get detached from the metabolism like in the case of 1p lsd and then have effects like the illegal drug
The problem with the Fluoride filter has led me to find these guys, similar product better all in one filter: https://www.propurusa.com/Gravity-Gripper_c_17.html
Berky have not responded to my email asking about the toxicity of the PF-2 Fluoride filter.
and more evidence out there that the fluoride filter is not healthy: "The PF-2 reduced flow rate and alumina leakage into the water should make customers question this fluoride removal process. Ask yourself: How can a water filter manufacturer justify putting a known toxic substance of alumina in your water and tell you it's healthy and acceptable in any quantity?"
