A list of puns related to "Fender Telecaster"
Anyone played and or owned both and can give a rec for which you enjoyed more?
Edit: I appreciate all the replies so far. To add some context I only have one guitar (Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster) and although I think it's an awesome guitar it's also pretty much the only guitar I've ever played. I mostly like to play classic rock/grunge, but I'll play anything that allows me to crank up the distortion/overdrive/fuzz. I've been leaning more toward the Wolfgang since it might allow me to try and get more into metal/faster type music, but I've also just heard Telecasters are super versatile guitars and I love the look. The Floyd Rose bridge on the Wolfgang also scares me since I hear it's a lot more maintenance but I'd be happy for someone to change my mind about that fear.
Telecaster, strato, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, 335, Fender (USA, Japon, MIM), G & L , Godin, Ibanez
This is a 1985-86 TL-556 from Japan. Still has the original Japanese price tag on the back of the headstock. The 80s had some wild designs.

So, I got this for my father in law as his Christmas gift. He's a novice guitar player and is someone that I think appreciates the instrument.
He mostly plays acoustic. Being a novice, he bought an electric guitar amp thinking he can use it for his acoustic. He can, but you know, it's like using a hammer to drill. So it's just sitting there. Another thing - my brother in law ordered a bass guitar a few months ago. When it arrived, it was in an obvious guitar box with that giant "Fender" logo in it. When my father in law saw it and found out it was for my brother in law, he says "Oh, I thought it wa sfor me..." So, I took note.
Personally, before trying this out, I was not really too excited about the Mexico made Fenders. They weren't that good back then and I'm too spoiled. But when I picked this up and played it, I gotta admit, my mind is changed. Maybe it was just this particular guitar, but this played really good. I played it for about 30 minutes in the store. Then just for reference, I also played a custom shop tele and strat. For the price, the player series holds up pretty well.
That's my story, and here's the guitar.

Online retailer has a Fender Player Telecaster Plus Top Maple Fingerboard on sale for $700 normally $880. Is this a good deal? It has a nice blue flame top, although I really prefer butterscotch.
I've played guitar casually for a long time, for my own enjoyment. I have an Epi LP and an Epi Dot, and was looking for a Fender telecaster for that sound. I can't justify spending any more than this for something that is just for my own amusement. I play different styles of rock and blues.
Hello,
I got a new Telecaster Thinline for Christmas, and I am currently using it with headphones thru the iRig adapter. I love to play using the IRig app loop station, and especially recording loops with different effects (e..g. a clean base, some riffs with overdrive and compression).
I would like to move to a "real" amp. I have recently tried a Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb at a colleague home, and I got in love with the sound.
However, I am not sure how it might work with a loop station (e.g. Boss RC).
There are two input output named "reverb input" and "reverb output" on the back of the amp, but I am not sure that they can be used as effect loop.
Do you have any experience with a loop station and the Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb?
Iβm looking to get a Tele with great playability and construction quality that I can throw a nice set of high end pickups in and call it a day. Ideally the other components on the guitar will already be of high quality. TIA.
Got a handful of things to let go of!
Love this guitar but need to downsize. The finish looks stellar and tastefully done and the neck feels very comfortable (with the frets still full of life).
This guitar has seen a handful of upgrades:
Lion Neck and Nocaster Bridge pickups from Cavalier Pickups. These capture the classic Nocaster sound!
Rutters Bridge and Compensated Brass Saddles
Forney Screw-in Switch Tip
Alternate black pickguard
Comes with Fender gig bag.
Asking $1050 shipped or similar value in pedals/other gear.
Gnarly fuzz face! If you're feeling wild, you can control the oscillations via CV.
Valuing at $100
- Fender Player Jazzmaster Tremolo Assembly and Bridge SOLD
Solid tremolo assembly for any build. The switch tip is parchment.
Valuing at $60.
Wish List:
cool fuzzes, chorus, delay
Strymon Volante
Boomerang Looper
would love some sort of Fender Tweed Champ or similar amp like a Swart
Randy's Revenge
other guitars? i dunno
Moog Grandmother, other synths in that price range
anything cool!
Couple projects on the go, here is what I have and what I'm looking for. I'm open to things not listed, but not looking for dirt beyond what I have listed already. Everything except the guitar has a box.
