My dad struggled for a week. So many people from his ward and family prayed for his recovery. Numerous people put his name on the temple. Slowly his body shut down, he was unable to recover. He died on Wednesday. I knew three weeks ago we was not going to survive. During my meditation practice I experienced peace when I contemplated his life. My gut told me and I was at peace all week after his surgery. I know i will never see him again, and I am okay with this. It's much easier knowing that this life is it, rather than believing that I have to obey and pay to get back to God and my family. If there is a God, he cannot be such an asshole as the Mormon God. I love all my children and could not deny any of them from being in my presence. I'm glad he is not suffering anymore. I cry when I remember all the kind things he did for so many people. I cry when I remember the memories of him and his grandchildren. It feels wonderful to be at peace with his death.
Live this life. It's what we have. This day is all we ever have!

UPDATE: The reason he brought this up is because he "feels less attracted sexually" to me since my facial resemblance to my dad and he is less attracted to masculine features in women. I personally like my face and the fact my face looks like my dad.
