I find it odd how much so many book characters are described as clearly resembling other family members. In my own family only my mom and sister resemble each other. The rest of us could be adopted. I'm talking extended family too. My daughter doesnt look anything like me at all. What about you and your family?
Is it me or does Isabela look like Abuela when she was younger.

So I'm rewatching UK S1 and I totally forgot how cringe Baga and her mom were. I know after her mom said it was all good and no hate to either of them, a lot of it was probably the editing and every family had a unique way if interacting.
But in all other seasons prior to this when they've brought in real family members or besties, everyone is overjoyed and super down to be in drag and live on the runway (in US S6 there was that one guy in the wedding version that wasn't living, but he's the only exception I know of, and wasn't family of the queens)
What is the process for choosing who comes in to be part of the drag family resemblance challenge? Do the queens give a few options and their contact? Does production just stalk their social media to find who would work? Do they just call people up?
Also because we learn that some queens aren't out to their families, so having a bestie would be the safest option in that case
