A list of puns related to "Taxonomy"
Introduction:
Save for humans, the pig was the first passive mob added in development. Its influence can be found in all of Minecraft, from the fan culture, to the spinoff media, to creative influences in the updates (obligatory comment on the creeper-pig connection that NO ONE has ever heard before). They were our first sources of food, our first ridable mounts, the inspiration for the first models of villagers, and the animal companion of great Minecraft heroes such as Jesse, Jason the egg, and countless YouTubers. Our pink, lazy-eyed friends deserve some attention, and that's what I'm here to give them.
Hypothesis:
Essentially, I propose that the pig and its relatives are some of the most potentially powerful animals across the three dimensions, and are simply being held back from taking what is rightfully theirs.
Evidence and Contemplation:
What I believe is the most essential aspect of pigs to understand when it comes to this theory is that they're highly adaptive. When being bred, they can accept three different items, (carrots, potatoes, or beetroots), while all others but tamed wolves can only accept one or two (excluding seed and golden food variants). While a diverse diet alone isn't enough to declare them the rightful rulers of all, it's a good observation to build off.
In real life, food variety becomes essential if a species is in need of lots of nutrients and calories that can't be found from individual sources. For especially intelligent animals like humans, the great apes, dolphins, elephants, crows, wolves, raccoons, chickens, parrots, cats, and, yes, pigs, such resources are necessary to maintain their incredible brains (which are insanely expensive from a biological standpoint, just look at the energy upkeep for a human brain). Some of those animals are even in Minecraft, are ones we can interact with, and who show remarkable intelligence and even playfulness, so I plan on doing posts for each of them in the future.
On top of their diet, they are also very nutritious themselves. Having higher nourishment stats than all other food items save for golden foods, stew, and cake, cooked porkchop and beef tie as the best non-crafted foods across the three dimensions. And taking into account that a grown pig is only slightly larger than a baby cow, it becomes clear which animal is showing the most promise. The fact that they take in so much diverse nourishment and are worth so much themselves is

These aren't perfectly clean divisions, eg a lot of "mainstream" conservative chud positions increasingly overlap with the far-right and YMMV as to where the lines are drawn and how much it matters whether the politics bleed into the music. But whatever, it's just for fun, take it for what it's worth.
Dingus: generally centrist or apolitical, maybe liberal. Stated views are not particularly gross, but they probably complain about cancel culture or people being too sensitive. Tends to prefer "both sides" criticisms. Maybe just being an edgelord for shock value. Typically more annoying than intentionally malicious. Examples: Nergal, the guy from UADA.
Chud: Openly right wing. Views more or less in line with mainstream conservative politics. Some are more outspoken/assholish than others; this may influence how much you can tolerate them. Often conspiracy-minded to varying degrees. Examples: Jon Schaffer, Dave Mustaine, Tom Araya.
Nazi: Espouses nationalist/eliminationist/white identity rhetoric and symbols, or is comfortable hanging out with people who do. Conspiracies always come back to the Jews. May use folkish/pagan imagery but this is tricky and not necessarily a red flag in itself. All of these dudes seem to have one side project that is unambiguously fash. Examples: a whole bunch of black metal guys, obviously.
By now, we've all heard of the loretab for Sleepless, where Sjur tells Mara about her dream where Mara split a pyramid. For Posterity,
>Sjur snorts and coughs as she wakes herself up from a sound sleep.
>"You were drooling," Mara says. She's perched in a divan nearby. There are books open all around her. She has dog-eared dozens of pages.
>"I was dreaming," Sjur says, wiping her mouth off with the back of her hand. "I saw you on a great black triangle. You split it in two with your bare hands."
>"Mm."
>"And I was dead, I think." She cracks her neck with a deliciously loud pop. "Or⦠trapped? Like in a maze. But pretty close to figuring my way out."
>"Mhm."
>Sjur stands up to stretch. She does not mind that Mara is not listening. Let her read. "And there was another woman with you."
>"On the triangle," Mara murmurs.
>"Mm. Yeah. She was helping. Then your brother showed up, andβ¦" She shakes out her arms, frowning thoughtfully. The dream is already fading. "He said, 'Tropaea.' Or maybe it was, uh, 'Tropical.' Anyway."
In the final line, we hear that The Crow/ Uldryn spoke either 'Tropaea' or 'Tropical'. Assuming it was Tropaea, that would fit with one of 3 things. It's either an ancient Greek town. I don't think this one fits, since it doesn't have much focus in Mythology, beyond being on a river where Demeter bathed to "cleanse herself of Poseidon's insult after being assaulted". More likely, it's based off of tropæum (descended of the latin word Tropaeum) meaning
> A monument erected (originally on the field of battle) by the prevailing army (without Senatical grant β contrast triumph) to commemorate victory in war, featuring spoils taken from the enemy (especially the personal arms of the vanquished general), and dedicated to an appropriate god (such as Mars).
This interpretation of the word would work, as this could be Crow telling Sjur to leave the Pyramid's wreck where it is, as a monument to it's defeat. However, I think the final interpretation I could find is more interesting.
The third interpretation connects it to Polyhymno Tropaea, which is a type of Moth. Not an expert, but I don't think it's the Genus Savathun is based off. I'd say that's more this one. I think that Tropaea being a moth fits the most with this lortab being connected to Savathun given her d

Over the years the game filled with tattoos/body art items, overskirts, facemasks (zillions, thanks to Covid19) and other items that do not show up in any of the subcategories. Some overskirts show up under Belts, some not. It is totally annoying to endlessly scroll down to find something. Meh this game. At least they could make a subcategory called Other. Gosh, we have a subcategory Headphones and not a single item released in the past seasons...
Hiii fellow intellectuals, what's the best way to remember Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species?

What does this mean?
EDIT:

1:40 - 'We have won the battle, but not yet the war'
11:32 - 'We probably lose the war on the overall nuclear theme'
On 11:32 it becomes clear at certain points Austria can mean something in the nuclear-theme.
But my german isn't that good, so maybe someone from Germany or Austria can elaborate?

I tried to organize what each champion (+ some bonus characters) is. Some notes:
Gragas: He might also be an iceborn.
Kai'Sa: Other than the suit has she been affected by the void?
Karma: Split into three parts:
A question I have is: are Karma and 'Ionia' the same entity? They are both referred to as the Spirit of Ionia, however Karma's dilemmas don't make much sense if they are actually the same entity.
Kassadin: His skin is probably blue because of his magic stone. I assume he got the stone prior to entering the void so I put him down as magically altered. If he got it from the void then he should be a void touched human.
Master Yi: Wuju style involves drawing power directly from the spirit realm, so you could maybe classify him as a spirit channeler.
Orianna: What's the line between a construct and an augmented human?
Rammus: He's canon. He's likely also physical but it can't be said for sure.
Shen: He knows a technique to move between the material realm and the spirit realm. I don't know if that should categorize him as a spirit channeler.
Vastayans: Vastaya are just diluted Vastayashai'rei. Sett and Nidalee are diluted Vastayashai'rei so aren't they Vastaya? Apparently not, but I tossed them in that category anyway. Technically, Udyr should also be in that category for the same reason.
Viktor: Given what happened in Arcane he should possibly be listed as magically altered in addition to augmented.
Hope it's not a repost:
It's beyond me how they can keep on with these "Nuclear is dangerous" and "What about the waste" arguments..

My testβs in a little over 3 weeks and Iβm still struggling remembering all of the taxonomy, any tips?
I want to develop scientific curiosity and learn to love words but I have this weird feeling of doubt everytime I study. Like impostor syndrome or something. Like a psychological blockage, need some motivation
this means a lot, thanks :)
Hello, sorry for mad bad English.
I have 2 Custom Post Type (countries and places of interest), with ACF plugin I made a list of places of interest with countries (relationship) (when you are going to create a place of interest, you can assign a country to it). I would like the custom post type of countries to be also a taxonomy (that the countries that I created as post type exist) and thus be able to use a plugin that I have to filter taxonomies.
Happy New Year btw.
So as a follow up to my last post, Iβve thought more about how to classify the gameplay style of different survivors. The last post I felt that such a task was impossible to be accurate with, but now I feel I have a good basis that I and the rest of the community can build off of. I just need some rules to be laid out.
-Firstly, I believe that classifying every, or even most survivor playerβs game style is impossible. We just donβt see enough from some people to properly classify how they play. Even non-returning winners like Vecepia or Todd I have a hard time classifying, just because itβs possible they would play completely differently in certain situations. So most of the classified players center around returnees who have shown continuity in the multiple times they have played. If there is a one-time player, then itβs just because I am very certain on how they play based off of the first appearance.
-Remember this classification is not a list of how survivors have played, but how they are inclined to play. Theoretically every survivor playerβs personality and skills form a natural inclination that steers them towards a certain style of play.
-This means these classifications can also not be built off of effectiveness. If a player is driven to be a challenge beast and immunity necklace their way to the end, but fails miserably, that doesnβt not make them the challenge beast archetype. That may make them a poor example maybe, but thatβs still the game style they want to play.
With that being said, let's get into some categories with examples. Remember, all of these are WIP and any debate on them is greatly appreciated;
Shotcaller- Strongarm an alliance and be the one who calls the shots the whole way through. Vote out enemies, then eventually those in the alliance who threaten your chances of winning. Want to win by being the person who controlled the vote and get recognition for that. Above all always wants to maneuver their way to shotcaller status, even if unsuccessful.
