I had to share... My family was watching Spider-man 3 (2007) - Tobey McGuire one with Venom and Sandman. My tween daughter was getting upset at how much a douche Peter Parker was being.
Kid: Ugh, why is he being such a jerk!
My wife: His ego is getting a way from him. He's really taking Mary Jane for granted.
Me: Unlike Sandman
(pause for effect)
Me: he's taking her for granite.
Kid: (trying and failing to stifle a laugh) dang-it.
My girlfriend is slightly mad at me for not remembering that her middle name is Marie. She's a sucker for puns and cheesy pickup lines, but I'm failing at coming up with either that incorporates Marie into it. Any help is appreciated!
