A list of puns related to "Facial trauma"
Picture of Left Eye Consulted with Eye Doc / No answer and my PCP and no answer. Neither had a clue and only told me wait it out and it would go away.
My nose is broken for many years and it's at the tip about half a centimeter to one side, I wonder if that's what could be pulling my face into more asymetry
So about 7 months ago, I broke my ankle by rolling it and was essentially bed ridden for a few months. During that time, I was generally inactive and would lie down most of the day with a somewhat contorted neck position. I was dealing with a ton of stress and anxiety attacks during this time as well. I developed a minor case of occipital neuralgia from it, but it went away after working my neck/shoulders out with PT. However .. I suddenly started getting these weird tingling/numb sensations on my nose. It slowly but surely turned into stinging pains. Not electrical βholy fuckβ pains but quick stings around my eyes, nose, temples, sides of head, and mainly the surface of my ears. Itβs either no pain, an achy burning pain, or the very quick stinging pain. It never hurts to touch. Heat seems to be a trigger for the burning. Randomly Iβll get swollen spots around my eyebrows that really hurt to touch .. but they go away within 2 days. I saw a neurologist who literally laughed at me cause Iβm only 25/MRI was clean except for TMJ/military neck/am Iβm in relatively good health. I got a nerve block for my occipital nerve, and it did nothing. I also had an ear infection that I got antibiotics for pretty fast. I was on steroids for months for my ankle, but I donβt see how that would cause TN. Iβm just lost. I have pain along the sides of my neck, around my eyes, and primarily my ears. Is it possible that having bad neck posture/TMJ is causing this .. or am I correct in assuming that itβs something more sinister? Any help would be appreciated, Iβm seeing a new Neuro next week.
Hi, first time posting here (been lurking for a long time, though)
I'm very confused about which specialty specializes in (facial trauma) and cancers of the head (not brain)? I read that ENTs, OMFS, and plastics can all perform surgeries that fall under (Facial Trauma) and (Facial Cancers) and much more. However, I need to know exactly what each specialty does in those two sub-specialized fields? (Do ENTs focus on trauma that is in the ear, nose, or throat regions while OMFS focus on trauma to the oral cavity and jaw bones, and plastics on soft tissue?)
Additionally, in reality, which specialty is referred these cases (either facial trauma or facial cancers, or both) the most? Or are they equally distributed among the three departments?
Lastly, I have some facial trauma cases I'd really appreciate if you looked at and told me which specialties would most likely be involved in that surgery? (Specifically, what would an OMFS do, if they are even involved) Not sure if I can share links here so I'll comment them down below. DISCLAIMER : Very NSFW images included in those severe facial trauma cases.
Thank you very much for your help
Hi,
Just a question. I was assaulted and my jaw was fractured because of it. My bite is βfineβ so Iβm not needing surgery. However, one of the things thatβs playing on my mind is what my face is looking like. Iβve just passed the 6 week mark now, so itβs in a good state I think. But my jaw most definitely does not look symmetrical. Itβs the long sides that go down the way that basically got broke in half. Iβve looked into ways that bones heal etc, just an overview without technical understanding, and thatβs helped rationalise everything.
But Iβm still really unsure about if my jaw will ever look the same as the other side again? It almost looks βrounderβ than the unfractured side, which isnβt great for guys. I get that thereβs a βbony callusβ and that will get βsmoothedβ out when remodelling. But will it take the shape it once had?
Was hit near the temple and its indented inward now
looking for best surgeon to help fix it
Prefer California area but anywhere in USA will do
Im lost and would be very grateful for some recommendations
Hey fellow fighters, I'm in trauma recovery, lots of childhood trauma, re traumatising lsd experience, Chronic depersonalization and depression for 10+ years and fighting my way through...
Dae muscle movements that you can tune into and the muscles contract and move if you allow them to. My right side of the face is recently experiencing this.
Can anyone relate ? Please ?
Curious to see if anyone has experience with this issue. New trauma patient who suffered severe facial fractures along with other serious injuries during MVC. Facial fractures included essentially everything from orbital, nasal, and lefort III fractures. Able to be intubated despite difficult airway, but severe swelling and bleeding from the face. Is it appropriate to expect a covid nasopharyngeal swab to be performed? Patient otherwise asymptomatic for covid and strictly brought in post trauma. I feel like a covid swab is inappropriate and could be harmful in this situation, but would love to hear others opinions.

What kind of adjunct should be used to maintain the airway? I would hate to be caught with my pants down if this ever occurred and haven't been able to get a straight answer on this
I meant to frame this as an EMT-B without the ability to intubate.
Hi guys
I received a number of blows to the head during my adolescence. I was physically assaulted on a number of occasions
I have a deviated septum and I have a misaligned jaw that clicks and moves toward the right when yawning. I also have a scoliosis type lean/curvature in my posture which could be related to my jaw.
I have been in pain and not sure what the right thing is to do??
Advice appreciated, thanks.
