Pretty much interested to hear if a working cocker spaniel is for me.
I want a dog that is intelligent, playful, energetic, and affectionate. A dog I can take on hikes with me and long walks.
I want to be able to train the dog and would prefer one that is smart and can make us laugh with his mischievousness.
Also affectionate and loyal. A dog that will want to be near us and chill with us on the sofa.
One last thing, has to be good with a cat in the home and kids in the future.
Would a working cocker be a good choice?
I know the breed is very affectionate but my puppy loves to snuggle and lie on my lap whenever I sit on the ground to play with him, then he’ll eventually fall asleep. Is this a normal behaviour for an English Cocker Spaniel?
Whenever I lift him up and place him on his mat then he’ll just quickly climb onto my lap again.
I'm having an awfully hard time locating any. We're looking for our next family pet and want to make sure we're going to the right place. Any help is appreciated!
