I am watching Criminal minds again from the beginning and this time I notice that when Emily starts, and when Hotch mentions to Gideon that Emily comes with and the way Emily acts eith her over night bag really made me giggle. You can see how she grows through the season, but watching it again, she's so eager and cute in the start. It's nice :)

I just watched Demonology and Emily is such a sweet cinnamon role that must be protected. Her character is so well written in how she is so sweet and vulnerable, but also so strong and tough at the same time. The scene when she reached out to Hotch about her friend while being drenched in rain just made me want to reach in and hug her.
She obviously has extensive training and extensive knowledge because of the CIA and Interpol. We know what she's capable of during undercover operations because of Ian Doyle... and she obviously did a great job if she was able to get him to trust her and fall in love with her. I'm mad that we didn't get to see her use those skills more often in the field during her time with the BAU. She also speaks a ton of languages and besides the 3 or 4 cases where she was asked to translate something, she never really uses that skill on the show.
Honestly, this goes for every other profiler as well. I feel like their skills were pointed out/made a big deal of a few times but afterwards... we never really got to see them use those skills. Like Tara and interviewing unsubs/witnesses, Blake and linguistics, Reid and his geographical profiles.
What the title says🤧💗 I started watching the show for the cases and Reid/hotch/Morgan but these women are so perf. Now I watch the show for them. Sad Bc I’ll never find a man like them
Am I the only one who finds it hilarious that we know Emily for five whole seasons before finding out that she used to be a CIA agent? I remember the moment in Revelations where JJ and Hotch mention how she’s so unfazed by everything, and that seems like it should have been foreshadowing for her backstory but it was 4 seasons early!
In addition, there was that episode where they were in the CIA looking for a mole and someone mentions compartmentalization as a technique that the CIA uses, after we’ve heard Emily say that she compartmentalizes well. But again nothing came of it until 4 seasons later.

I’ve always gotten lesbian vibes from her, (im a lesbian myself, so I think my gaydar is pretty good). I’m in season 5 right now on episode 7 and Emily made a joke that tipped me off more to the idea shes lgbt, it went like: “Only way to find out a teenage girls life is to get passwords for her social media, I’ll call the sexiest hacker for this” I.E: Garcia, I assume. What do u guys think do u get gay vibes from her? If it is confirmed in later episodes i dont mind spoilers about that :)
I like Emily Prentiss but I feel like she shouldn't have came back. Please don't kill me. But I feel like her departure scene was quite impactful and it was sweet seeing her dance with each team member. And people want her to come back so bad. You guys should know that when a character you love leaves a TV show and you miss them. Missing them makes it a great memory. And I feel Paget Brewster is a good actress and that she is just to good for what hot mess Criminal Minds has become

Funnily enough, the first episode I ever watched was that one. Yes, the one where she "dies." And I was so shocked I had to start watching from the beginning. I realized that whenever Emily wasn't on the show, the dynamics of the team just weren't the same. I feel like she's such an integral part of the team and I love her friendships with the rest of the team. I love that she can speak all these different languages (although we barely get to see it), I love that she radiates this almost "mysterious" aura and I wish we got to know more about her backstory.

I just started watching criminal minds, and I’m on season 3, but oh man do I love this show.

Although, I don’t see the obsession that many people have with Reid😳
So I'm rewatching because I never got to the end of the series (and of course the last season is pretty new). Anyway, remember when Emily got branded? She was supposedly branded right on her chest. But when she comes back to the BAU she wears some fairly low cut tops and you never see the brand. Did he do it lower than I thought? Is it just an inconsistency? It's driving me nuts
