>Singer is best known as an โactivistโ investor, using his fundโs resourcesโabout thirty-five billion dollarsโto buy stock in companies in which it detects weaknesses. Elliott then pressures the company to make changes to its business, with the goal of improving the stock price.
>One of Singerโs few unsuccessful campaigns, to block a merger within Samsung, eventually led to the impeachment and imprisonment of the South Korean President after Singerโs opponents became so desperate to fend off his attack that they allegedly began bribing government officials.

What do you guys think? Last pass was owned by LogMeIn for over 5 years before all this happened. Now I am not saying that LogMeIn is a good company. I am saying that Elliott Management Corporation is a bigger threat
Hi all, I recently received an email confirming that Iโm offered the internship from EMC. Thing is that I havenโt heard about this company before and I did some research about them. They do have website and it seems like they are legitimate (for me). However, the recruiting processes is so weird. A lady reached out to me on Messages and asked me if Im interested in financial planning internship, then they asked me to download app Wire to talk with senior recruiter. They didnโt ask any info about the bank info or any private info( I pay attention to this since I doubted they are scammer Lol). They finally ask me a few question for a basic interview (the whole conversation is on chatting not video call). And I asked โis there any other step in the recruiting process?โ They said this is the only interview and no video interview. And just the next day I received the offer. So, if you have any information about this or if you have any similar experience with this company or any advice, please help me. I donโt want to miss this opportunity just because i overthink. Thank you so much.
Itโs a bit of a random question, but Elliottโs name has been circling around pertaining to the Twitter takeover. It reminded me that Elliott, as a hedge fund, arenโt in the business of holding onto assets like Milan who just haemorrhage cash. Not many people are in the business of football to make money - and itโs been common knowledge that Elliott are just a bridge in ownership for Milan. So in your opinion, when will they sell?
I quit my old job bc that company sucked butt.
I've had plenty of horrible bosses, but I'm lucky enough to have had a few really good ones.
I'm 100% on board with the movement and my first two initiatives are to hire enough staff so that no individual has to work more then 40 hours per week, and to ensure no one gets a paycut relative to the rate of inflation.
When I start on January 3rd, I'm going to make it very clear that you don't need to request days off, you just need to inform us. Sick days include mental health days, and I don't need to, or want to, know the reason.
I'm also going to make it very clear that any decent employee will get a positive recommendation from me on a new gig if they wish to work elsewhere. No judgement, no retaliation, no hard feelings whatsoever. I've been there and I don't want anyone to feel the way I did. Idiots and assholes notwithstanding.
My question to y'all is: What else do you want from a good boss? Or rather, what should a good boss never do?
So Iโve seen a lot of people on here and elsewhere talk about how bad the leadership is at Meijer . I quickly noticed the bad leadership from my first day at orientation. Store directors/managers and coordinators .
Speaking to me and other employees rudely. Giving me dirty looks when I made a mistake . Managers Huffing and puffing and griping in front of customers when something goes wrong . Managers who arenโt personable . Managers who donโt acknowledge you but will break there necks to scold you.
If I complained about these things publicly with names after I quit do you think that Meijer (corp) would do anything?
Sometimes I think the reason why things donโt change at companies is because people donโt say anything.
Iโve looked at certain people at my store (managers/coordinaters) and wondered how they still have a job?
Not necessarily praising them, but i've been relatively suprised with Elliott's willingness to accept the level of losses we've seen the last few years. I know they're waiting on a solid buyer willing to spend closer to 1 billion euro for the club but kind of crazy that we've seen losses around 200 million euro over the last two years and we're still looking to invest in the squad.
Games that are up for trade:
