A list of puns related to "Eater (website)"
I enjoy this show so much!
Edit: Some of the most iconic Meat Eater moments occur in this season!
Would it be possible to be able to filter premium stuff by video only? I'm lazy and hate reading and I normally stick on videos (for the audio) when driving as I do lot a of traveling for work. I know you guys have Spotify for the free stuff but would be great to see if there's a new video out when browsing your home page. It might also encourage people to use the website more rather than the other risky platforms.
Love what you guys are doing been premium member for a few months now :).
Wondering if there is any interest in a website that provides material, courses, step-by-step blocks of how to talk to meat eaters? Basically a step by step training guide of how to have impactful conversations with non-vegans. This would be a training program for vegans interested in learning or sharping their conversation/debate skills.
Motivation: Despite veganism being bigger than ever, there is more meat and dairy consumption than ever. Thinking about how we can reverse non-human animal consumption, I believe talking with meat eaters more is an effective strategy due to the fact conversations are on a one-on-one bases and will be more personal. Even if we are not activist or good at talking with people, as vegans we always end up in the types of conversations whether we want to or not. Being prepared, and more importantly, being effective in our communication is key.

There are small articles and videos on this topic, but I want a more rigorous, through training material that scales and grows that is one stop shopping for this topic.

Backstory: My wife and I have been married for a year. I've know her and her brother (J, M20) for over a decade. They have a 10 year difference.
For as long as I've known him, J's been a picky eater. His diet consists of fast food and junk food. Essentially, at get togethers, his parents have always gotten him special orders. We'd all be eating salads or some kind of meat, and he'd be eating a fried chicken sandwich. He also smokes marijuana oil. This isn't a problem for me. Mostly because how he was raised isn't my problem and also that I enjoy fast food on occasion, and I smoke weed. Nothing wrong with that, and I've tried my best to teach J to smoke responsibly.
However, there are two things that concern me. First, my in-laws are against marijuana smoking. His smoking's gone far: he throws tantrums when he can't smoke, and once got his father arrested due to his habit of running away when he got caught. The second is that J, throws tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants. For example, recently, my wife and I had her cousin and his wife over. J came too because and asked us to get buffalo wild wings. J's order came in wrong: he wanted boneless and got bone-in wings. He started yelling, refusing to sit down and eat, and generally being a brat, all because he didn't get the right food. We called BWW, got a refund and got him his boneless wings. But I warned him that while I don't care what he does at home, at my house, we do things calmly. My wife and I have stressful jobs. Being more stressed on top of that is't something we want. Beyond that, I was raised to eat what's at the table: either find something you want, or stay hungry. No one should cater to you unless you have dietary needs (allergies, kosher/halal/hindu, etc).
Things came to a head last week. I was in Austin with a group of friends, and my wife decided to host a father's day lunch for our families. J lost his weed pen and threw a tantrum the day i flew out. On father's day, people came over to our house: my folks, her's, my aunt and uncle, my cousin and J. My folks got some mediteranean take out for the group. J refused to eat it and demanded Pizza Hut. All the Pizza Huts were closed, and he refused anything else, with things escalating to pouting, yelling and screaming, until finally, my in-laws apologized and left with him. I found this out while preparing for a night out, with my stressed wife crying to me over the phone that her parents had left embarassed in front of my family. I

Edit 1 - still waiting on BUNGIE to respond. Apparently Iβm not alone.
Edit 2 -
/u/dmg04 /u/cozmo23
Edit 3 - top 2 post of this sub (around 10k upvotes summed up) and no acknowledgement from a community manager that they may be went too far with theses nerf. What a time to be alive
Edit 4 - hereβs a video explaining the changes with proof :
Basically double the damage but now requires 8 orbs. I think 8 orbs just delays super use. Anti-synergistic with the intrinsic purpose of the exotic. This needs to be reverted to have less orbs picked up.
Can someone at BUNGIE as least comment on this ?
Edit 5 - Wow, BUNGIE actually responded saying this this nerf is BUGGED !!! What the actually fuck ?
Rise up and speak guardians and let them know
Speaking from my personal experience as a (formerly!) picky eater- quitting meat forced me to start thinking of vegetables differently. Cauliflower was no longer something boiled and mashed with a distinctly farty (im sorry!!! But its true) smell, it could be pulverised into paprika-flavored rice nodules, blended with garlicky hummus to serve alongside warm pita, mixed into a luscious stew, or chopped up fine and put into the most delicious, crunchy pasta.
What helped you?
Yes, it takes twice the orbs to get to x4, but x4 now does 90% extra damage, it used to do 60% extra. New scale per stack is 22.5% extra super damage per stack, previously 15%.

Edit: The user I originally heard of this buff from made a much more complete breakdown of whatβs changed with the Star-Eater Scales, check it out below. https://reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/nlm8uj/stareater_scales_misinformation_miscommunication/
Sorry for my bad grammar. Im 1st year engineering student. I wanna give thanks to all free educators out there!!

Edit 1: this post was made prior to Cozmo's replies; see his full comments at the bottom of this post.
Edit 2 (Hotfix 3.2.0.3; 3rd June 2021): Added an addendum at the bottom of the post re: changes.
++++
Seeing a lot of wires crossed, both from a subjective and objective sense. A lot of Guardians are miffed and/or confused at the Star-Eater Scales changes recently, but the rampant misinformation in the Destiny community, and miscommunication from Bungie's part is causing even more distress than it already is.
I'd like to point out that I maintain the Destiny 2 Information Spreadsheets - this contains the giant Buffs/Debuffs Database you've maybe seen or heard about. My post here is put a purely objective point-of-view from my data scientist-ing findings. I'm not really here to say if Star-Eater was truly "nerfed" or "buffed", but I will comment on the fact that it received a buff to potency, but a nerf in practicality.
Star-Eater, on the 3.2.0.2 Hotfix, received the following changes:
>β’ Fixed an issue where Star-Eater Scales was erroneously applying its damage bonus to weapons and grenades instead of only Supers as intended.
>
>β’ Increased the maximum number of stacks required for the full damage bonus from four stacks to eight stacks.
The contentious line is the bottom one. I don't think people genuinely thought the Weapon/Grenade damage boost you had pre-hotfix was intended. I certainly didn't - as I exclaimed this to the various Destiny Data Discords and scientists during the first time I tested this Exotic. It calls back to the days of not only Empowering Buff stacking (Well, Bubble, etc) but stacking of Global Debuffs (Tractor, Melting Point, etc) - this was unsustainable, and goes against Bungie's philosophy of creating encounters/activities. It was fun while it lasted - especially popping a Tether and unloading your double-damage weapons.
So the bottom line then. This is causing a lot of confusion, and even for me it was initially like "Wait, what? You need EIGHT stacks now?". Over the last 24 hours there has been plenty of testing and b
... keep reading on reddit β‘I agree, Star eaters were really damn strong, bugged and broken. I totally get the nerf. They may have over corrected, but hey. However, new exotics should be overpowered for a little bit. That's part of a live service game. Bottom line, no player was dying for these to be nerfed.
On another note, the community was super excited to use sleeper again when the buff was announced. Its bugged and they couldn't get it fixed in time for VoG.
They had time to nerf a brand new exotic before buffing a bugged one that everyone was excited about.
I'm normally not one to say "You fixed this bug immediately but this one that helps players wasn't fixed." BUT this is a pure nerf/buff issue. It could be that this nerf was a lot easier than that buff was, but perception wise and as a player, it kind of sucks.
I'm hoping to get some feedback from other cake eaters on here who love their spouses and are happy with their marriages but still crave sex with other people. Last week I found out my husband (married 5 years and have 2 children together) had visited an Asian "massage parlor" and gotten a handjob. At first I was freaking out, but once I calmed down I realized it wasn't the actual sex act that bothered me, since there was no emotion or intimacy involved. The lying and deception was what bothered me. In fact, I found that I was actually kind of aroused at the idea of him being sexually pleasured by someone else. Since then, we've had lots of deep conversations about what we both want. He admitted to me that while he loves me very much and wants to be with me for the rest of his life, he has urges for rough, meaningless sex with other women. Now we've had rough sex before, but he says the level of roughness he wants isn't something he can do with a woman he's in love with as he would feel bad about it, and it wouldn't really satisfy this fetish for him. I asked if he wanted an open marriage and he said emotionally he can't handle me with another man, so if I did that it would need to be in secret and he could never find out about it as it would devastate him.
I'm really not sure what to do with all this information. We've been having the best sex of our whole relationship this past week since everything has been put on the table, but I still feel pissed at him for lying to me. I know for sure I'm not ok with him having any kind of emotional connection with another woman. But the thought of him with someone else does kind of turn me on, strangely enough.
Does anyone else on here have this sort of dynamic with their spouse? Is it possible that he is truly in love with me but just has these urges that don't mean anything to him emotionally? I personally wouldn't step out unless I wasn't in love with him anymore, and it's hard for me to want to open things up when I feel insecure about his feelings for me. I guess I just need some help seeing things from his perspective, if that makes sense. I want to explore things with him but I've gotta feel good about it. Would love to hear from anyone on here who thinks they can help.
I think I understand the surface reasoning, they wanted a better connection to their primarch.
But were they really that dumb? Did they truly not understand that it would turn them all into drooling mongoloids often uncapable of coordination?
Also, if they had the knowledge to manufacture and install the nails, how did they lack the ability to remove them?
Currently slogging through "betrayer" on my eternal crusade for more lore, but gotta say, I absolutely don't enjoy the world Eaters. Thoughts?
My four year old would eat macaroni every meal if you let her. Lately Iβve been having her cook with me, letting her choose between three options on what we should cook, and letting her help me with the clean up. In this past month she had tried so many new foods i would have never imagined and has even declared a few new favorites. Iβm floored. You should really see the pride in her eyes when we give her a compliment on her cooking. Highly recommend it and hope you have the same results Iβve had.
Edit: itβs been great chatting with you guys. Iβm on the other side of the world, so itβs getting late here. If i didnβt make it clear, i chose the meals for the week and then she gets to pick from two or three of those options. So many people have mentioned getting their kids involved with gardening. I highly recommend it. Itβs not as hard as you think. Raised beds are great for things like carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, and herbs.
Many people have commented that kids shouldnβt have a choice, and while i respect your opinion, our family just doesnβt work like that. We value each otherβs opinion and i want my daughter to feel heard and valued. I want her to have a healthy relationship with food.
Lastly, if this of a repost, my bad! I literally thought i was on to something and just wanted to share with my fellow parents. Iβve had a few things reposted in the past that made it to the front and it hurt a little, but also made me proud.
Hope you guys have a wonderful week. Thanks for everyone who chimed in and muchas gracias for the awards.

>βHe showed Snape something on his arm?β said Sirius, looking frankly bewildered. He ran his fingers distractedly though his filthy hair, then shrugged again. βWell, Iβve got no idea what thatβs about β¦β
Real talk okay marauder fanfics need to quit it with the Death Eater recruits flashing their brand new dark marks everywhere in Hogwarts. By Goblet of Fire, Sirius Black still didnβt know what could have been on the inside of their forearms, he didnβt know the Dark Mark was also the mark on Death Eatersβ arms.
It wouldn't be secret if they waved their marks all over the school would it?
>βThe werewolf might be allowed to wear Death Eater robes when they wanted to use him, but only Voldemortβs inner circle were branded with the Dark Mark: Greyback had not been granted this highest honour.β
Also keep in mind that not everyone was given a Dark Mark, not even all Death Eaters. It was something you had to earn from Voldemort. Those with the Dark Marks are probably not even the ones the original Order were fighting. They would have been Voldemortβs best and brightest, his most valuable - he would use them for covert, undercover work, not send them off into the battlefield to possibly be killed or captured by Aurors and Order fighters

Title.
Just got the boots and tested them immediately on Kalli. I had no debuffs or buffs outside of the buffs the Exotics provide.
Celestial itself does ~218k to Kalli.
Star-Eater Scales does ~256k to Kalli when you have x4 of it's buff.
So... rest in peace Celestial Nighthawk?
EDIT: People asking how the Exotic works, here's a quick run down--
-Orbs generate more super energy, seems to be a 1.5x increase to super energy gain.
-Once your super is charged, you can continue to pick up orbs to generate a buff for your super. The buff increases damage of your super and heals you when you use the super. Stacks up to x4, and when at x4 the healing becomes an overshield.
-The buff seemingly doesn't disappear until you activate your super.
-The buff is approximately a 60% damage increase at x4.
EDIT #2: More things!
-Increases tether debuff for the user up to 108% at x4 Feast of Light.
-Roaming supers are affected, but are still hilariously bad for damage. Arc Staff is still beat by Raiden Flux + Spectral still has hit detection issues and still does laughably low damage.
-Silence and Squall is completely affected by the perk. Both the Kamas and the tornado receive the damage buff.
-Blade Barrage is still bad, even with this exotic.
-Moebius Quiver does significantly more damage than Golden Gun with this Exotic.
P.S. Warlocks, we get you think your class is garbage. We know you're tired of it, but imagine how tired we are. IMAGINE how tired we are. Please, if you're not going to contribute to the discussion AT ALL and are here just to whine about Warlocks being 'underpowered', just don't. It's quite annoying.
If you ever have time, look up Secret Eater on YT. It is a great show about how much people really eat vs what they put in their food diary. It is an eye opener on what people eat and what they think they don't eat. It shows how mindless eating or grazing effects people's weight. What is really great about the show is that a dietician is there who gives them advice on what to do. And most of the people lose 1 stone (14lbs) on average.
Everyone generally has the same spiel at the start, they all eat 1200 calories (the women) and 2000 (the men) but it turns out they eat around 2000-4000 calories a day. It is mainly women who write down they only eat 1200 calories and are surprised to see their total was closer to 2-3k. Alcohol was a culprit, with people drinking easily 1000 calories but mainly mindless grazing.
There are a few episodes where the people try to cheat and eat less(without realizing it) and actually lose weight during the 5 day period. One guy switched his full sugar soda with diet and lost 2lbs. He drank a lot of soda but that one switch resulted in weight loss.
It is a big eye opener. A lot of people couldn't believe that they ate that much. They ate not consciously aware of how much they consume. Being videotaped it allowed people to visually see what they eat and when they snack.
I find it really fascinating and I hope you all do too.
Context: This excerpt takes place shortly after the fall of the Lion's Gate Spaceport as bands of surviving loyalists attempt to make their back to their lines. One group, led by Camba Diaz and two other Imperial Fists, is attacked by a roving band of traitors. Along with them is a World Eater.
I love this piece as Dan Abnett makes combat between space marines so much more than just "two big guys in armor hacking at each other." He manages to truly envoke their sense of strength and transhuman physiology and avoids basic "bolter porn" by giving us intensely graphic combat. Space Marines are horrifying weapons of war, amplified by blessings like this World Eater received.
...
Less than two streets on, drawn by the sound, the reavers found them. A Traitor Army unit in rags and furs, with skulls war-painted on their faces. They opened fire from cover along a raised colonnade. The waste-water began to splash and spray as las-bolts and hard rounds chopped into it. Two troopers were cut down, falling in clumsy splashes, then a third as he tried to run. Diaz gave the order to shoot. With no cover except the floodwater and a few atolls of rubble, the stragglers began to return fire, their lasguns blazing in support of the bolters wielded by the three Imperial Fists. The facade of the colonnade became ragged, chipped and scorched. Bodies twisted in the archways, slumped, slid or toppled forward into the water. The enemy fire eased. Joseph thought they had been discouraged, but they were preparing to charge. Feral figures leapt out of the archways, jumping into the water, yelling as they tried to run into the tide.
βHold ground. Selective shots. Fire,β Diaz ordered.β
Freezing and soaked, they picked the traitors off as they lumbered through the water to get at them. Each kill-shot cut short another war cry. Joseph couldnβt bear to hear the phrase. He shot at faces and mouths to shut them up.
The Emperor must d-
At his side, Willem was murmuring, βItβs not your fault. This is not your fault.β
It was, and it wasnβt. Hell had no rules. Whatever you did, or didnβt do, it came back to bite you. Some of the traitor reavers were abhuman giants. It took two or three shots to bring them down. Then a true giant emerged.
It came through the colonnade at a run, as though it had been drawn to the gunfire and death. **Its running leap took it through an archway and six or seven metres clear before it hit the water. It was still running, somehow unencumbered by the floo

Seriously hats off to them. If you just paper handed over a 2% drop in price when we knew this was going to happen today, go sit in a corner. Your wife and her boyfriend will come pick you up when they are done in your bedroom. lol
I will give the shorts a ton of credit. Coordinating that drop was masterful. All the colluding and coordination to get all that to happen all at the same exact time....especially after all the FUD they spread on Reddit was impressive. They put out this if we lose 40 it's over FUD and then that drop. I actually laughed to myself because this isn't about money to me.
Amazing market manipulation, it shows me they are getting desperate. I like it. Do it again so I can buy more.
Seriously, like in the 30's I legit feel like I'm getting a good deal on this stock. Like this is now sound investing for me for the future.
Edit: **Just so you all know, this will probably go on like this until the end of the March when the earnings numbers come out.
End of March: GME will release their earning and probably new strategy. If the shorts haven't covered by then they will get fucked especially if the earnings are way better than expected. So make sure you take a trip to the website or to your local GME store to get some gifts for yourself or the kiddos. Good to support your own stock!

If they have a spike in earnings the shorts are fucked because numbers don't lie. Bigger players will start wanting to buy in. That is the catalyst
This guys posts shows the numbers: It was probably like 600k they shorted and (Update: He wrote and said they took out 200k of XRT shorts as well which could have been part of the same attack to make it look like more retail shook out) https://www.reddit.com/r/GME/comments/lnmcxe/600k_shares_were_borrowed_at_eod_yesterday_that/

Not all of us titans are crayon eaters. It makes me sad and then I get angry when my mom reads these reddit posts to me at bed time. It makes me want to put on my synthoceps, pop a bubble and just start punching everything.
I mean, I've tried crayons but I don't like them. The paper is hard to swallow and the red crayons are too spicy. When I get hungry during arts and crafts time I like a nice Elmer glue stick. I dont like the squeeze glue or the tub of glue that you have to use a popsicle stick to eat. Don't get started on rubber cement. That doesn't digest at all.
I know guardian games is causing a lot of smack talk, but let's leave snack time out of it. We aren't making fun of hunters for feeding on blueberry tears or warlocks for licking hive worms.
Edit: thanks for the awards! Im so happy I want to punch stuff!
Edit: I've never had a post blow up like this. I didn't realize how many guardians are so passionate about eating crayons
Edit: this might be the best work I've ever done while on the toilet
