A list of puns related to "East Thrace"
There's one unnecessary NOT clause @930 here
It makes Turkey always give up Constantinople.
Here it's fixed.

Hello and welcome to the second Ante Bellum country preview regarding the upcoming 1.6 'Legacy of Seljuk' update. Today, I would like to show what is perhaps the most exciting part of the entire update - a total overhaul of the Byzantine content! Without further ado, let's begin with their backstory!
In AD 1204, when the Varangian Guard cast the Venetian mongrels into the sea, and the Imperial Navy set their fleet ablaze, many had hoped that the dawn of a new resurgent era was nigh. Alas, such optimism was rapidly dashed against the rocks of the Golden Horn. Despite facing a crisis which may have seen them hanged from the Theodosian Walls, the Angelid dynasty nonetheless proved themselves utterly incapable of malicious negligence and inept management of the Eastern Roman Empire. With nothing but the most opulent degeneracy on full display and never a care in the world, the House of Angelos was quickly taken advantage of by the aristocracy.
Having maintained their useless emperors as figureheads, the Constantinopolitan clique would aid in further advancing the Byzantine nosedive, filling their coffers while the people starved and fled eastwards. Even against the threat of Bulgarian invasion in the 13th century, the imperial regime did nothing in response.
Yet, when Leon Gabras took up arms and saved the empire, he was hastily banished to a governorship in Anatolia. With an impending Turkish invasion, it was expected that he would perish, no longer posing a threat to the machinations of the political elite. This assumption proved false, and the Saviour of Thrace declared unilateral independence from Constantinople and from the Empire, having concluded that the Roman dream was long dead.
Well over a century has passed since those times, and Constantinople is in shambles; the city's population numbers at a meagre 20,000 and - outside of the merchant and palace districts, is in total disrepair. A recent defeat against the Bulgarian Empire has also halved the Roman rump state's size, while simultaneously severing the land connection from Attica to the capital.
On the other hand, the Nicene junta has benefited greatly from the decades-long influx of refugees. Fleeing Seljuk, Bulgar, and Angelid oppression alike, these desperate folk recognise the Gabras kingdom as the best hope for a Greek future, but the fledgling realm's tria

Independence March was written during Turkish War of Independence. To summarize briefly, after Ottoman Empire was defeated in WW1 , where Turks lost millions of Soldiers. The clique who led the country in war fled, and a faction , which favoured surrendering took over.
Victors of WW1 invaded Anatolia. Ottoman parliament took the national oath which basically said "Alrighty, Empire is gone , but not an inch of Turkish territory , and we are full independent" , which contradicted Entente'S "Peace plan", which gave huge territories to colonial powers as "zones of influence", created an Armenian state with borders drawn in r/armenia, gave ฤฐzmir and East thrace to the Greeks, Even Istanbul to the "Straits commision". , so they disbanded Ottoman Parliament.
Atatรผrk and his followers , in response , set up a Parliament in Ankara , and War of independence started fully in 3 fronts. Ankara government lacked nearly everything. Men , money , guns , ammunition. The already poor anatolian peasantry sacrificed everything they had for the war effort (Women carrying ammunition in carriages, %40 of food and clothing owned by people seized , forced labor for certain occupations, all weapons seized). Yet an army was assembled from whatever remained , and war was won.
The march was written during the struggle with purpose of giving hope for the struggle , with following lyrics.
Fear not; For the crimson banner that proudly ripples in this glorious dawn, shall not fade,
Before the last fiery hearth that is ablaze within my homeland is extinguished. (Hearth symbolizes a family in Turkish culture. Hearth extinguishing means a family line dying out. Basically says every Turk would die before Turkey gets destroyed)
For that is the star of my people, and it will forever shine; It is mine; and solely belongs to my valiant nation.
Frown not, I beseech you, o thou coy crescent!
Smile upon my heroic nation! Why the anger, why the rage?
Our blood which we shed for you shall not be worthy otherwise ;
For freedom is the absolute right of my God-worshipping nation!
I have been free since the beginning and forever shall be so.
What madman shall put me in chains! I defy the very idea!
I'm like the roaring flood; trampling my banks and overcoming my body,
I'll tear apart mountains, exceed the Expanses and still gush out!
The horizons of the

The map shows all settlements are razed
This is my 1st time to play as the Huns. My initial goal is just to raze the whole world. As I find a 'Technique' halfway, which can speed up my razing procedure , I decide to raze as fast as I can.
The 'Technique' is that, the movement points can be restored if I change the general when there is only general unit in the troop. Thus I can dispatch a general to raze a settlement with local mercenaries, then dismiss all mercenaries, change the general, move to another settlement and attack. Repeat this operation and I have razed at most 18 Sasanids settlements in one turn, in extreme cases, since there are adequate mecenaries in every province of Sasanid Empire.
To prove it is exactly 415 AD winter
Then I will illustrate my route of march. The whole world in game can be classified into 6 areas:
The Slavic area, Germania, Britannia, the Combat area, Aisa Minor and the Sasanids.
Their features:
So I started my Crimean campaign normal, conquered Scythian Province's, then proceeded south east through the Caucasus Country. I subjugated my direct E. Nomad neighbor first. After pushing the Kartli out of their capital and subjugating their last city in Armenia I all of a sudden had an amazing opportunity. I occasionally check the Confederate options for my Kinfolk, and suddenly Syracuse is not only down, they'll pay me 3k to adopt them. I say screw it! Rome was already a defensive Ally, with trade, and military access so I was willing to risk them not attacking any time soon. Lol as the map opened I see 1.5 Carthaginian armies and a small navy just sitting right outside, I had literally stolen it from under them. And my former Syracuse army changed flags and were suddenly at peace. I quickly trained/hired what I could because In 3 turns Carthage attacked....it was a long and bloody struggle for Sicily. But by the end I had two great stacks, and a 3/4 navy stationed. But then through random shenanigans Antioch was separated from the Selecuids and after paying a few K I aquired it to, with Pergamum following a few turns later. And just this last turn Massilia embraced our confederation! I'm currently speed conquering the Province directly north of the Danube/Thrace so my rank goes up and i unlock new armies. Because both Pergamum and Massilia are completely defenseless. Now for my question
Should I reinforce Pergamum, and commit to full war with the Selecuids over Anatolia? Or Continue my Transplant Empire in Sicily, Sardinia, and Massilia? Knowing full well it means Rome could turn on me, while I'm locked in a death struggle with Carthage. I lean towards Massilia because I've always loved migration campaign's. And it's still under turn 80!!!! This is such a fun campaign
I moved out West from the South this year and it turns out winter stuff is EXPENSIVE! Especially when one wants to partake in more than one winter sport. As a result Iโm putting on a bit of a sale, dropping my prices a fair bit on many things Iโve listed previously and Iโve added a bunch of new coins as well.
Thereโs gold, US type stuff, crown sized silver, medieval, ancients, and a few rare bois in here too. Check it all out below!
Reasonable offers on more than one coin will be considered.
I accept pretty much everything, Venmo is preferred (Zelle, crypto, Cashapp, PPFF).
Shipping is $6 and includes bubble mailer with tracking. Please let me know if you would like the package insured and I will quote that separately. PLEASE let me know if you donโt receive anything within 10 days of me providing tracking, it gets much harder to find lost mail the longer it stays lost and USPS puts a limit on the days in which I can submit a lost mail claim.
If you need more or different pics, or information just ask! Unfortunately some of these are not professionally done.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Wars in 2023
Ukrainian soldier in Ukraine:
The Russian advance into Ukraine was sudden and rapid. Tank battalions storm over the vast plains of the country, easily defeating the under-armed Ukrainians. The Russian advance is stopped along the Dnieper River, where the Ukrainians have managed to create a strong defensive line, causing the Russian advance to all but stagnate. Belarus has declared neutrality.
Taiwanese soldier in Taiwan:
The Chinese invasion of Taiwan was a bloodbath. Artillery rains down on the beaches as Chinese infantry struggle to gain ground. The air battle rages in the sky as the Taiwanese forces are being slowly but surely deteriorated by the overwhelming amount of Chinese planes. Taiwan is desperately keeping their runways functional as their military and air bases are under constant barrage by ordinance from Chinese jets and cruise missiles that manage to break through Taiwanโs air defenses. Several Chinese ships have been sunk by Taiwanese anti-ship missiles. The Chinese attack has been bogged down, giving time for the US to mobilize their fleet.
British soldier stationed at a military base in Cyprus:
The reignition of the war in Cyprus was unexpected to say the least, exactly 49 years after the original conflict no less. Both sides take turns rushing at each other in the beginning, covering little to no ground. As the Turkish navy blockades the island, Greek attempts at providing relief and reinforcements on Cyprus are laborious, and therefore Greek forces there are in short supply of resources. Due to stagnation in Cyprus, most of the fighting is seen in East Thrace. The front line bounces back between the Maritsa River and Istanbul becoming convoluted and messy, turning the entire peninsula into a war zone. Bulgaria has declared neutrality.

US had heavy German immigration at the turn of the century. What if pro-German politicians come to power. During WW1 US decides to support the Central Powers as their Crown Prince had been assasinated.
US keeps selling weapons to Germany and does not recognize UK blockade of Germany. This leads to the Royal Navy sinking an American freighter bringing weapons to Germany.
US public is outraged that a civilian freighter was sunk and demands war against the UK.
The war starts in 1915 with a Naval landing against Toronto, Halifax and Vancouver along with an overland attack on Quebec City and Montreal
UK retaliates by interning Americans in Hong Kong as well as Diggers from Australia landing on Luzon. The Phillipine freedom fighters welcome the British help and soon Philippines is a UK protectorate. Guam is taken soon. A fleet is on its way to Hawaii.
Mexico now allies with Britain and turns over the Vera Cruz naval base to Triple Entente. The British Caribbean fleet moves over to Vera Cruz and proceeds to blockade Houston and New Orleans.
The British control the Caribbean but the Atlantic is contested and Canada has surrendered.
The French fleet in the Caribbean joins up at Vera Cruz and a joint command is setup. For the duration of hostilities the Dutch, Danish and French colonies are put under UK-French joint command
A landing on Cuba is accompanied by a local revolt against poor working conditions in the US Sugar plantations. Soon Cuba has a pro-UK govt. Puerto Rico is taken soon and joined with Cuba. The various Spanish speaking Central American countries join Mexico.
The US Canal Zone garrison is blockaded on the Atlantic side.
UK has meanwhile taken Hawaii and a fleet is on the way to blockade the Canal Zone from the West.
Chile now comes in on the UK side and sends its battleships North. They have a long history of cooperating with the British navy.
Meanwhile the British have been sending a couple of Divisions of troops who were sent to Serbia in OTL to Vera Cruz to defend Mexico againt US invasion. This means once Serbia falls, Greece also falls to the Bulgarians.
Bulgaria takes entire Macedonia , Turkey takes Thrace and all the Aegean islands. Austrian navy takes Crete and Cyprus and hands Cyprus over to the Turks but keeps Crete.
Austria also takes the Ionian Islands as well as the Dalmation coast.
