A list of puns related to "Denver sandwich"
I feel like I have tried them all: Snarfs, Backcountry, Udi's, Fat Jacks, etc. But I have yet to find that one transcendent sandwich. You know, the one that keeps you up at night thinking about it's deliciousness. If any of you have ever had Capriotti's, you would understand. But, alas, I cannot get a Capistrami in Denver (Hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian Dressing, and cole slaw on warm soft bread). Here is what I look for in a good sub: quality meat, good meat to bread ratio, fresh bread (with a good bite to the teeth, but not too crusty like sourdough), unique, not $$$. Whatcha got r/Denver? Bonus points for proximity to Cap Hill, though i'm willing to drive anywhere if the sandwich is worthy.
edit: I just had the Drew's Favorite: Meatloaf, lettuce, tomato, carmelized onion, cheddar and Russian dressing. DAYUMMM!!!!! Effing delicious. I look forward to working my way through the rest of the suggestions, thanks again all.
Trying to find a good sub shop other than the bland chains out here.
When going out on a high-altitude hike, I like to start early (5-6 AM) and bring a sandwich for lunch. Unfortunately, the only places to buy them at that time seem to be gas stations and 7-11. And those sandwiches are not so great, with their mushy/crusty bread and distant-future best-by dates.
Better sandwich options that I've found (e.g. Subway or a supermarket deli) don't open until 7 AM or later.
Anyone have any other recommendations? (Either for a fresh or at least recently-made sandwich)
Title says it all. I'm craving a pork tenderloin sandwich.
