A list of puns related to "Crunch Fitness"
Anyone else have difficulty cancelling their membership to Crunch Fitness? They seem to make it very difficult for people who live out of town. Any advice would be welcome.
Has anyone had any luck cancelling their Crunch Fitness membership? I've been trying to contact them for so long but no one ever responds. Wondering if anyone else has some experience they can share since my husband and I are tired of being charged for a gym we don't use.
Itβs not a New Years resolutionβ¦but Iβve been considering joining Crunch Fitness in Waco for a while now. This is mainly because of itβs about the only place in Waco that fits most of what I am looking for, especially now that a child care is opening. If you are or were a member there, could you give me some honest thoughts or feedback?
Crunch Fitness in San Marcos announced that they're closing. The nearest Crunch fitness location is in Vista.
9 Round Fitness closed their San Marcos location last year. The nearest one is in Encinitas and Rancho Bernardo.
The nearest 24 hour fitness center is in Escondido. LA fitness seems to be the only available option.
Why is rent/leasing so expensive in the City of San Marcos? Why are no good options not available here? Any hypotheses? Will we have any new options opening up in the near future?
I purchased a base membership at their Garden Grove location and was told it was for peak membership only because people would sneak into the functional training area only? I got a refund but was wondering if anyone experienced this as well or if anyone goes to this location paying $15 a month for the base membership. Not interested paying $25 a month for a peak membership when most of the amenities offered I wonβt use.
Just asking because I signed up a few days ago and Iβm itching to get a good lift in :)
I joined crunch fitness and their personal training back in September of this year, last month November I had I have the chance to cancel the personal training with them and the personal trainer convinced me to freeze the account for the meantime, A week after the account was froze for personal training I told the trainer to just cancel the personal training. Now they charge me $200 and after me telling them for the Past three weeks to just cancel it now they say They canβt give me a refund for the charge, I tried canceling the Personal training through the phone but still have my suspicions that they did not cancel it any advice on what actions I should take moving forward
I just realized crunch fitness (Peter Robinson and Dixie) has been charging me throughout the lockdown. Iβve tried calling and left many requests on their website to cancel my membership but the calls are automated and no one responds to the email. They are still taking money out of my account and I donβt have time to head over to their location. Has anyone else had this problem? How do I even cancel my membership?
Was looking for gyms around my area I live around mdv town centre and was wondering if anyone has been to crunch fitness? How is it there? Are there dip and pull up bars? And do you know if there are any free days?
I really wanna get into a gym before they close but godlife gets too busy and idk any others. Thanks!

Good reporting from Cambridge Today regarding more about members of Crunch Fitness being wrongfully charged - bank actions and legal proceedings had begun prior to that, further refuting prior claims by Crunch that money was withdrawn by 'mistake'.
If I read this correctly insolvency proceedings have begun - while getting the money back may not happen, I strongly encourage people to contact their bank and terminate any further payments.
There's a new one opening up around the corner from me, I haven't signed up for it yet, but was wondering if anyone has had experience with them at any of their other locations.
I used to have a membership at Crunch Fitness and even did the personal training. Overall it would cost me almost 120$ a month. After a few months I felt that I could do a lot better by working out at home and cancelled my membership back in February of this year. When I cancelled it, staff informed me that it will cancel my membership and the personal training as well, and since I had cancelled it before the term date, I wouldn't be charged for the month. However a few weeks later I noticed I was still being billed. I contacted Crunch Fitness and they told me it was because Personal Training is separate from Crunch so I have to go in and cancel with them. So that same day I went up to the Crunch gym, talked to one of the Personal Training staff and they said that my personal training should have cancelled alongside my regular membership. However the manager isn't here so they will take down my info and have him contact me.
Never resolved. Every time I would go up to the gym in person or call to speak to management and resolve the issue, they were either at lunch or gone for the day or in a meeting that takes about an hour. One time I said "I'll wait". After 30 minutes the Manager walked out of his office, I got up to get his attention and he simply said "I can't right now I have a meeting to go to" and proceeded to walk out the front doors and left. I contacted their billing department who told me they can't do anything because they just collect money, so management has to fix it.
About 4 months and 480$ later, I got fed up with waiting for a Manager to not be gone/busy and disputed the charges with my Bank. I filed a dispute and put a block on any further Crunch charges. I even sent them a copy of the email I received from Crunch acknowledging I cancelled my membership back in February. Chase investigated, refunded me the 480$, and put a block on Crunch.
So now every day I get a call and/or email from Crunch billing about the money I owe them. I used to answer these calls and emails but they followed the same routine every time. I explain the situation, they state that they show on their end that I cancelled however for some reason I'm still being billed so therefore it must be some sort of glitch in the system and that they'll take down my info and pass it on to their higher up. After a dozen or so times I got annoyed by it and simply blocked the number and emails. I figured well Chase is already blocking them, so what else can I do?
Well today I wo
... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm moving to the fan next month and enjoy weightlifting (snatch/C&J) but don't take it super seriously. Is the equipment and atmosphere at The Weight Room really worth $70 a month when I could go to crunch for $10 a month? Does anyone know if the scotts edition crunch lets you do those movements without getting yelled at for dropping weights?
Any students go to crunch in the early mornings? If so:
How busy is it?
Are there squat racks and places to do a proper deadlift?
I just wanna know if I can get a proper lift in there before class since itβs closer to me than the pulse π
I live in Ontario and got charged from Crunch fitness twice while the gym that I signed up with was still closed. I have emailed them several times only to get the same reply over and over, saying that there was an error with their billing system and they were actively working towards a solution. I could not call them or visit in person as the gym was closed.
I think that billing system error is total bullshit and it surely has to be illegal to take money out of an account twice when the service they provide is no longer available, especially if that person needs that money but Crunch fitness just takes it from their account. I tried contacting them several times but there was no refund given.
Now that the gym has opened up I will be going in person to ask them, but I was just wondering if charging the account was illegal?
Hey guys,
Iβm looking to join a budget gym that has showers open during COVID and it looks like these are my only two options in the range Iβm looking at ($20-25 for their βblackβ memberships to use any location ontario wide). Has anyone here experienced both and which one would you go with, and why? It looks like theirs many more planet fitnessβs in the GTA area but Iβve heard conflicting reports of them.
Thanks in advance.
I'm new to the area an joined the Crunch Fitness gym in San Jose a little while ago. A young front desk guy was extremely friendly from the start, always remembered my name since the first visit. Eventually asked me about a ministry he was involved in, I asked what church he went to/was with, he said its actually an international group that he's involved with through San Jose State University. After I expressed interest, he told me he could give my number to his friend to set up Bible studies. (I'm a Christian so at this point I was slightly suspicious but still possibly interested). His friend eventually contacted me wanting to meet over Zoom or for coffee. I wasn't sure about it all e=yet so I asked on more information on the group, or if they had a website. Instead of sending me anything, she offered to give me a call. At this point I was pretty sure it had to be some sort of cult. Got even more suspicious when a new person approached me at the same gym, who was also part of the same group. When I mentioned I had already been talking with the front desk guy and the girl who was texting me, she asked if I had set anything up yet (I told her I was in the process so she wouldn't ask more). At this point I was so suspicious I looked up San Jose cults, and found SCJ, which explains everything I've experienced. For any who may go to San Jose Crunch Fitness, be mindful please!!
Basically as title says, this gym is really convenient location wise, so have considered joining them. However, have also been a little apprehensive of their mandatory "kick-off" session...
Can anyone share their experiences with this gym?
I've never had anything like this in my life. I moved across the state last year and cancelled my membership to Crunch Fitness over the phone. Before that I had auto-bill on, and after the phone call they never billed me again, contacted me, or anything.
Fast-forward to a few weeks ago. I received a collections notice for a few hundred dollars for a delinquent Crunch Fitness account. I submitted a letter requesting them to validate. They have not responded, although it has not been a month since I submitted the request.
Regardless, they just put this up on my credit report and dropped my score from the mid 730s to the 640s.
I filed a dispute with transunion saying it was a fraudulent account but I have no idea if this is correct. Furthermore the amount they listed on the dispute is more than the amount listed on the collections notice they sent me.
Throughout this process I have attempted to get ahold of anyone at Crunch Fitness but they refuse to help. The collections agency simply tells me to pay them when I call.
Have I reached a point where I need to talk to a lawyer? I'm mad enough that I want to, but I don't want to spend the money.
I don't have any pressing need of credit coming up so I can just wait, but it seriously bothers me to have this on my report. I haven't missed a payment on anything since my early 20s. Crunch fitness is either malicious or incompetent. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
Ive got two friends that are inconsistent. Im a 21 male but I dont mind anyone
I currently go to Golds but it wont change itβs time back to normal which was closing at 12am. I looked up and crunch was open 24/7. I was wondering how they are. Im into powerlifting so good equipments and plenty of it matters and how are their management? Payments? Etc.
Thank you
Anyone been to the Crunch on Peter Robertson and Dixie since the step 3 introduction?
Is it crazy busy or are people avoiding it for now? How safe do people feel being there at the moment?
I get that they need the money, but something feels off about being charged for a service that i'm not using. I paid around $35 twice when the gym reopened ...
They worded the email like "Many of our loyal members have communicated that throughout this third closure, Crunch continue to process monthly membership billing. In reality, we have financial commitments we must abide to whether the gym is open or not. We hope that after a couple weeks in the grey zone, we will be able to reopen our facility once again.
We need your support now to put us in the best position to service you when we reopen. While we continue monthly membership billing during this lockdown, we will add the time to your Crunch membership."
I get it - i think i'd rather just try a different franchise after this lockdown and would really like to know which gyms people have been frequenting during this pandemic.
Hi,
I just recently moved to the city and have been trying to decide on a gym. Both gyms are commutable, yet I am unsure of what might be the better one for the price point.
Going to a gym in this current climate is bad enough, however absolutely nobody wears a mask there. I mean staff, customers, whoever is maskless. The entire place was also a cool 80 degrees, it was ripe for Covid transmission. I was only in there for maybe 10 minutes to drop a package off and I have yet to see a place so openly disregarding peopleβs health.
Finally biting the bullet and wanting to cancel but before I get to it, I wanted to know if anyone had any tips or surefire ways of cancelling. From what I've heard it's a real pain in the ass.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I cancelled my Crunch Fitness membership - in person - in August 2020 (I have the exact date in a text message on my phone from when I messaged my significant other that I was able to go in person to cancel), which was as soon as I could once they had reopened from being closed due to Corona Virus.
I went in person, filled out the required paper work, and left.
Today, I received a phone call from Crunch billing services asking to confirm some account information as there was an issue they needed to speak with me about. Being that I had cancelled my membership over a year ago, I thought it was a scam, and I ended the call and immediately called Crunch in Cheektowaga.
Crunch in Cheektowaga informed me that I never cancelled my membership and had been charged each month since August - and due to nonpayment, my account had been sent to collections. They said if I had my copy of the cancellation paperwork, that would be one thing - but they didn't have any paperwork confirming the cancellation.
I am outraged. I can not believe I was not once contacted about nonpayment. No phone calls, no emails, no nothing. I have emailed there membership services, but I am unsure of what can be done.
Has anyone heard of this happening, or even been through this?
If Crunch Fitness wasn't shady enough during this pandemic by staying open during against orders during a pandemic, they have been sending emails/messages to people about "past dues" and are threatening to send collections after them. I froze my account and had my yearly fee waived and I still got this message from them. They definitely lost my business after all this bullshit.
I'm moving soon and my new community won't have a gym, but Crunch on 34th is within walking distance. Can anybody share their experience with this gym? What was the atmosphere like? Does it get busy? Do most people wipe down the equipment once they're done?
I'd consider going to SW Rec instead since it's free, but I've heard that the weight rooms are kinda full of sausage and would feel more comfortable with an open floor plan. Give your input on SW Rec too, if you want!!
Thanks in advance!
I'm a 30 y/o male. Recently getting back into weight training. Used to be extremely athletic, and don't imagine it will take long for me to get back into the swing of things. Looking for someone to lift with early mornings, 5 days a week. 5 or 6AM is ideal for me. If you're interested, let me know!
