Use part of that money to buy the animals a tasty steak and other good food, as a reward for obeying the sounds.
Have 2 other sounds that mean good and bad, to help the animal learn what actions, at the time, increase or decrease the chance of getting the extra tasty food instead of the normal food. For example, if the sound to turn right is played and the animal turns left, play the bad sound. If turns right, play the good sound and turn right sound together. If animal does nothing, play the bad sound at lower volume. Play the good sound the whole time the animal is eating the tasty food.

I thought someone whipped out their recorder from 3rd grade and was playing the same notes over and over. The sound got closer until it was quite loud, and I suddenly saw a long-tailed animal saunter by. It's quite dark, so that's all I could make out.
There's been a red fox hanging around recently, could it possibly be him? If it helps, the animal was whistling 3 notes, one G and two G#s.
