The glass in very clean shape. It has very few cosmetic scuffs but the rubber grip could use some cleaning. Lens is an adaptall2 mount - so you can usually find an adaptall 2 lens mount for your camera. It comes with a canon FD adaptall 2 adapter on it, so it can be used as is on a canon FD camera or with a canon FD adapter for your mirrorless.
This is the 52B version that natively does 1:2 magnification. it will need a Tamron SP 01 2x teleconverter to go to 1:1 but that makes the lens much lighter than other macro lenses. lens will come with generic caps.
ask any questions you have. I have bought and sold a lot here on photomarket and have good feedback

Lens glass is in excellent condition - focusing and aperture rings work as they were meant to. there's a couple of scrapes on the body of the lens but no scratches/fungus/haze on the glass.
I prefer to shoot longer focal lengths for macro and for most other close-up fun. This is a beautiful lens that punches way above it's price point.
Last three pictures were taken last night, handheld on a Fujifilm X-pro3 without IBIS
I am probably going to buy one soon but I want to know if it will work with the camera I already have.
Includes the dome hood, caps (both push and screw) and UV filter. No fungus, no fog. Optics are great, looks new.
I do believe this is the newest FD mount lens ever made (early 2000's). They didn't make many in the FD mount and I've never seen another.
400 USD includes shipping and insurance in continental US.
I purchased a Canon FD 50mm 1.4 off ebay, with out double checking because i was getting ready for vacation (even had to have my new camera sent to my family)
I missed the fact that it managed to not have the the part of the lens that would allow me to actually mount it..(see photo)
Is there any way can get it fixed or purchase that part separately? I don't wan tot go through too much hassle as i really didn't pay all much for it.

I'm mounting it on an a7s via a metabones adapter
I have an excellent 28mm f/2.8 Sigma lens for my AE-1 and I love it but I was looking to upgrade to a nicer lens like a L lens or something of the like. My price range is very flexible and I am not sure I want to go below 24mm or above 30mm. I only use available light so a faster lens is optimal. Thanks!

In great shape. Glass is all clean and free of mold. The aperture ring is very clicky and easy to use and the focus is smooth.
PM me if you have any questions!
Looking for a cheap Canon FD 50mm lens. Doesn't need to be in good shape, don't care which version, and can have a little fungus. As long as it's functional and its problem(s) won't really effect image quality.
Looking to spend $40 (shipped) or less.
Could also trade for (one or more):
The Canon F-1 (the original model) I just bought has accurate shutter speeds and no issues with its mirror or shutter curtain. But when I attach any of my FD lenses (the newer 28mm, 50mm, or 135mm), the F-1 won't step down their aperture unless I activate the camera's depth of field preview switch first.
It happens at every shutter speed and aperture. I mount the lens securely, set the aperture to anything except fully open, and take the shot, but the aperture blades don't move. Using the F-1's depth of field preview lever solves the issue by setting the aperture in advance but then I'm forced to look through the dark viewfinder in the process.
Am I missing something or should I have my F-1 repaired? I tested the FD lenses on my Canon A-1 and AV-1 and they're working fine.
Update: Had my F-1 cleaned and fixed. Works like new now!
Hi there,
I found his camera while cleaning out one of our cupboards in our new house. The lens mentioned above is mounted on it.
What are realistic prices that I can ask for?
