A list of puns related to "Single Lens Reflex"
And that was why the bride vanished when I brought the viewfinder to my eye.
I fully understand, why you'd need a mirror in the analog world. But why are there DSLR cameras having a mirror, too? Is there some advantage to it?

Hello, I have this small collection of SLRs that I'm not using. They're bargains because there's some minor issues with them as described.
Konica Auto Reflex TC with the Konica Hexanon AR 50mm f1.7 - $50 + S/H
Body: Brassing, light scratches, peeling of the leatherette, functions properly at all speeds, mirror is in great shape, cocks and fires smoothly, and the light meter is untested. (6.5/10)
Lens: Clean glass, mostly dust free and free of mold as far as I can see, but the blades do have some oil on them. I've been playing with the blades and warming them up which has made the snappiness improve. May not need taken apart, but an easy fix if you have the tools. (7.5/10)
Pentax Spotmatic II with the Asahi SMC Takumar 55mm f1.8 - $75 + S/H
Body: Light brassing, scratches on the baseplate, a bit of shallow pitting on the baseplate, meter has not been tested but I'm honestly expecting it doesn't work, the mirror will occasionally get stuck in the up position, shutter speeds accurate (7/10)
Lens: Barrel has some light scratching, but the glass and blades are pristine, love looking through this thing, and the original lens cap comes with. (9/10)
Nikon Nikkormat with the Nikkor-S Auto 50mm f1.4 - $50 + S/H
Body: In great shape mechanically and aesthetically, missing the top plate on the lever, bright beautiful viewfinder, shutter speeds sound accurate, mirror behaves well, a couple small scratches and little dings in the last photo. (8/10)
Lens: Spider webbing mold inside, focusing is stiff and will need some work, front and rear of the glass are in good shape, blades are snappy and clean! Willing to send detailed pics of mold on the inside, it's pretty moldy in there, hence the price. (5/10)
Olympus OM-1 with the F. Zuiko Auto-S 50mm f.18 - $100 + S/H
Body: In pristine shape with the hot shoe and the original strap, light scratching only on the baseplate and the lens cap, shutter speeds all sound accurate except for 1/15th of a second (seems to be running long), meter is tested and accurate. (9/10)
Lens: Pristine in every sense, but for a small dent in the filter ring which is only cosmetic and doesn't prohibit filters from being used. (9/10)
Willing to accept Venmo or Paypall, feel free to ask for more detailed photos!
37 raids in the past week or so. I survived 7. my survival rate went from 71% at the highest to a flat 60% right now. K/D went from 9.2 to 7.7
EVERY single death, and I'm not exaggerating, was a headshot.
I'm not a new player. 4th wipe, 1600 hours in this game. the headshots have NEVER been this bad, ever.
You might say, "well it could just be since a headshot is the only hitbox you can die in one shot, even if someone hits every limb and then your head, its still a headshot." Yes, i see your point. Except for the fact that nearly every single one of those deaths was ONLY a headshot. The first bullet that left their gun. The only exemption was the couple times the first round landed thorax, and the second hit my head.
Doesn't matter if I'm sprinting in front of a door way, i get headshot. Jiggle peeking a corner, i get headshot. Someone whipping around a corner at mach 7 and killing me before any human being could react in time. Doesn't matter what map i run. Doesn't matter if I'm wearing an altyn or a ratnik, it all ends the same way.
I'm just taking a break at this point. I'm done for a while. I'm not sure if there's something legitimately broken beyond terrible desync, but something needs to change.
Sorry if this is a newbie question. But why do people use a single focal length lens when there are variable focal length lens? For example, why by a 18mm lens over an 18-35mm lens? What am I missing?
Thanks in advance :)
UPDATE: Thanks everyone for all the replies! Understand it much better now :) Figured I would just update the post instead of trying to reply to everyone! Thanks again!
