Levenger L-tech 3.0- this is the bronze L-tech fitted with a Franklin Cristoph 1.1 mm stub. It writes a wonderfully smooth line and sits well in the hand. As it's been daily carries, there are some minor scratches on the barrel, which the pictures show in detail. Will ship in it's Levenger aluminum case - $65 shipped
Ink lot- this lot includes OS Walden Pond, OS nitrogen and Rohrer/Klingner Alt Gold-Grรผn. All of these are fun inks, but just as I'm paring my pens down to the true EDC's, my inks must follow. These are all more than 90% full, having had at most 2 or 3 fills taken from each. - $30 shipped
if interested in the ink and the pen, I'll do all of the above for $85 shipped

2 | Sailor Pro Gear Imperial Black - 21k fine with Architect customization by Mike Masuyama. Purchased for $270 from another user here on r/pen_swap, though I don't remember who at this point. Was [A2] when I got it and only inked once. I am describing it as [B] because the architect grind on this particular nib is way too flat for me and probably most people - needs to be held at a very shallow angle to the page for optimal writing. Cartridge/converter. | $200 |
3 | Pilot/Namiki Resin Falcon - 14k soft medium nib. Purchased for $150 from a local brick-and-mortar in Monrovia, CA. Inked twice. Describing as [C] because I was a newbie when I got this and flexed the nib pretty hard; it doesn't seem sprung, but it writes extremely wet and I don't want to create any mistaken impression. Cartridge/converter. | $95 |
4 | Montblanc 220P - 14k oblique broad nib. Purchased for $225 from German ebay. Listed as NOS when I bought it and inked once; I am listing as [C] because the tines look just a hair misaligned to me. I tried to capture this in the pictures. This is a very light pen and feels like a cheaper Lamy 2000 to me. Writes very smooth and wet; if I didn't have a million oblique nibs I would not be getting rid of this one. Cartridge/converter. | $150 |

{SOLD} KronLeatherGoods Traveler's-style notebook with Moleskine Cahier Journals [C] $25 I commissioned KronLeatherGoods (an Etsy seller) to create a Traveler's-style notebook that used Moleskine Cahier Journals. At the time, I was using Noodler's black, and the Moleskine paper worked quite well. After experimenting with more inks, I carried an A5 Rhodia in this journal for a while, but it stuck out ~1 cm. The leather is super nice on this cover! If you use Moleskine's larger Cahier Journals (13x21 cm) and like the look of a Midori Traveler's-style notebook, this is the product for you! I will include three blank Cahier journals (2 brown and 1 black) and the original dust cover.

... keep reading on reddit โกThere is likely no definitive resolution to this question of what this famous line in Aretha Franklin's Respect is. The recent movie makes an interesting case on the interpretation.
My 'ears' hear "take out T C P".
A quick google search shows that the conventional wisdom is that the line is "take care T C B" where "T C B" is supposedly "taking care of business".
Last night I watched the movie "Respect" about Aretha, and there is a scene where she and her back-up singers are working on the song "Respect", arguably her greatest hit. The movie suggests the following:
Her nickname was "Re" or "Ree". When she's working on the song, if she removes, T C and P from the word respect, although technically, it's "rese", with some poetic license, one can morph it into "ree". Then, the back up singers sing after the line "R E S P E C T take out the T C P", they're singing "ree...ree...ree", which ties into her name. This suggests that they're riffing on Aretha's nickname, and not introducing 'taking care of business'.
According to this article:
https://www.latimes.com/entertainment/music/la-et-ms-aretha-franklin-respect-19980309-story.html
The original lyric sheet has the line "take out T C P". It also makes sense to me that the line is removing three letters from a word she just spelled out, as opposed to changing the topic.
There is no definitive answer, I suppose, but the movie makes a pretty convincing case on this point, and my ears hear "take out T C P", and not "take care T C B", and I also hear the "ree...ree...ree".
Again, I know the conventional wisdom, and sources (see LA Times column above).
I'm back with more questions (I AM SORRY)
At the suggestions of you lovely people, I ordered me an Opus 88 Halo. I love how it feels and how light it is. But I think I'd like a fatter pen -- one that can take a screw-in #6 unit. And not cartridge/converter. And lightweight. So a bigger version from Opus 88.
But I'd really rather not make a habit of spending this kind of money again on a pen if I can help it. I am open to going the custom route if I need, but I'd like to also ask for suggestions for cheaper dupes if you know any. Tramol is lovely, but still rather thin and doesn't do the screw-in #6 thing. I've seen suggestions for Ranga 3 and some Jinhaos, but opinions on their weight/feel/ergonomics seem ambivalent. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.) Also, if I end up looking at more F-C or Opus 88 to get what I'm looking for, I'd also appreciate model suggestions that would fit these requirements.
Thank you!
Major Custom Fountain Pen destash! I'm culling out the pens that have become redundant to my collection, and raising money for some new penventures.

Hi all! Trying to get up some funds for next weekend's Ohio pen show, which is my local one and the first show I'll have been to since before the pandemic, so I'm pretty stoked. Listing some pens I'm not bonding with. All except the Pichevin are ones that I bought new within the last six months or so, and all are in stellar condition. Pics, verification, and writing sample videos here: http://imgur.com/a/Sg8UGUQ.
First is a catch-and-release for me: a Pichevin Pens "Linden" model in a dark tortoise acrylic and with red cap band/threads. David Pichevin is a pen maker out of Arizona whom I'm not super familiar with but who does really nice work. I traded for this with a pen friend on Instagram this past week and I like it but don't LOVE it, so I'm listing it. It sports a 1.5mm stainless steel Jowo stub nib, which writes beautifully, and comes with a standard international converter. Gorgeous material, high polish, super well made, and very balanced in hand. These go for $180 new I think; I'm asking $140 OBO including CONUS shipping.
SOLD Next is one from a guy who's hands-down my favorite small maker, Russ George of "Russ Pens."** It's his standard flattop model in a really cool quasi-transparent custom resin from Outcast Blanks. It's got a 1.1mm Jowo stainless stub, and will include a standard international converter. I find this one EXTREMELY comfortable to use, especially for long writing sessionsโthe section is a really nice thickness and has a subtle curve. For this one and CONUS shipping I'm also asking $140 OBO.
Next are a couple Franklin-Christophs in their vaunted "antique glass" material: a model 31 and a model 66! Both have been lightly customized by yours truly, as I've filled the engravings with bright red china marker to make them really pop, hence the C ratingโthey're otherwise in excellent shape. I happen to think they look pretty slick. The model 31 has a black-coated 1.5mm stub nib, and the model 66 sports a 1.9mm music nib, both in stainless steel. Both pens will include F-C standard converters and brown leather F-C pen sleeves. If memory serves, these models are $175 apiece new. For either pen, I'm asking $150 OBO including CONUS shipping. UPDATE: Both sold!
As ever, please do feel free to make me an offer on any of the pens, single or in combination! I'm looking to find these good homes sooner rather than later, so I can be flexible on price, especially if you like more than one of these ๐
At any rat
