A list of puns related to "Borrelia burgdorferi"
This article discusses the Stationary Phase that Borrelia enters. This phase occurs after the log or exponential phase (active infection). It appears that the antibiotics that may have arrested the log/exponential phase may not treat the Stationary Phase. The article discusses this.
Hi,
Today I was diagnosed with Lyme Borrelia burgdorferi IgG (result: positive). I guess I was infected 5-6 months ago. I didn't notice any red circles.
My symptoms are:
I read here your posts about your cases and I am not very optimist what I found. However I just want to ask few questions.
My GP told me today that I already have antibodies and I don't need antibiotics. At least she arranged an appointment with infectologist tomorrow for consultation, lets see what she says. So is GP right that I don't need antibiotics if this disease last for 5-6 months and I already have antibodies? And if for example this disease I have lasted for 1-2 or maybe 3 years (I am still not sure when I got it), do I need antibiotics then?
As per my symptoms I have, I guess this disease should last 5-6 months, otherwise I should have much stronger symptoms or much early symptoms. Am I right?
Thank you very much for an answers.
It produces disease called Lyme and messes heavily with persons neurotransmitters (similar to other bacteria?) causing all kinds of debilitating effects.
Iβm biologist myself, but focus on genome data analysis. Although with limited practical knowledge, I am aware of cas9 systems ability to disrupt DNA at specific locations and wonder if there is a cas9 analog for bacterial targets? How feasible it is to make some kind of borrelia βDNA shredderβ and apply it in vivo? I could gather funds if you to 10mil/year for such project but am 95% sure itβs not feasible, please prove me wrong. Thanks guys.

Thanks in advance!
Are Uworld and FA going against each other here?
Uworld says Borrelia isn't typically visualized on microscopy while FA says Borrelia is the only spirochete that can be visualized using aniline dyes in light microscopy due to size. What do I go by here?
Basically what the title says. Since these tests look for antibodies for B.Burgdorferi does it cause false negatives for people infected with other strains?
I thought I heard in some YouTube interview with one of the doctors it would be effective against all Borrelia strains but am not 100% sure on this.
You would expect so, the antibiotics work against all the strains the same.
Really hope so, because I have the coriaceae strain.
Long story short, I was diagnosed with three infections around a year ago. Misdiagnosed by incompetent doctors and inaccurate diagnostics for more than three years. I've taken antibiotics which has SIGNIFICANTLY helped my neurological symptoms but the pain remains, at times excruciating. Almost all of my joints severely hurt as well as my bones and muscles.
As a teenager I smoked and I never really liked the high, I honestly hated it. Couple that with my cognitive and memory impairment from the infection and I was no different than a sloth.
I'm 22 years of age now and I need something, anything to relieve this pain. HOWEVER, I do not want to completely suppress my immune system. I know THC suppresses the immune system and in studies this is well know. It is a potent anti-inflammatory. I'm more interested in CBD for my nerve and joint pain.
KRATOM has also kept me interested.
