A list of puns related to "Book lung"
I think I probably read this book about 8-9 years ago. The scene I remember is a soldier describing the feeling of having oxygenated goo pumped into their lungs before being shot into battle in a drop pod. I seem to remember that the soldier was injured in the drop and her battle suit wouldn't let them turn their head to look at the injury.
In the Silver Eyes, Dave says something along the lines about how when springlocked your punctured all around, and he also brought up lungs being punctured also. So we know that William got springlocked, but yet he can still speak and make out words very clearly (from FFPS and FNAF AR), so my question is how? I know the books take place in a different universe but I think springlocks would still have the same effect. Even though we know William is very different from most victims of springlocks, I still donβt understand how he can be this different. Iβm just guessing it may have to do with remnant but I dunno.
The two meet in the middle of the forest and fight for dominance.
Shere Khan has his animalistic instincts and natural toughness pitted against Tai Lung's immense skill and rage.
Who wins?
I read the book sometime between 2002-2005. I checked it out from my public library in Kansas. I remember the book seemed old at the time. For whatever reason, the saxophone strong lungs have always stuck with me. I think she ends up getting away from him. I also remember she was dating/friends with a nice guy & the strangle culprit was sort of a βbad boyβ
I don't remember the name nor the author. The book cover for book one was the model for Athena looking down at a lake, with her back to the camera. It was blue-ish purple. The second book had Cassandra overlooking what seemed to be Olympus from an arched doorway. It was yellow and gave an electric feeling.
The gods were dying. Athena had owl feathers growing in her lungs. Hermes' body was eating itself thin. Demeter's body was stretched out across a desert. Hera was slowly turning into stone. Aphrodite was covered in bruises, hiding her beauty. Artemis was eternally chased by a beast in a jungle.
The gods hate that they're dying and want their immortality back, and the Fates gave some sort of prophecy that whichever god wins the war, the reward will be their immortality back. So the gods split into two sides, with Athena and Hermes finding Demeter. They find her mouth in the desert, and Athena even comments that she can feel Demeter's pulse when she went to sit down on the ground.
Some notable figures such as Cassandra of Troy and Achilles were reincarnated too but they don't have the memories of their past lives. Athena seeks out Cassandra and chokes her nearly to death. This causes Cassandra to remember her past life, and she also gets a cool superpower where if she touches any of the gods, their death is accelerated. Athena and Cassandra were in a car at one point, with Athena driving, and Cassandra gripped Athena's wrist and a bloody bracelet of owl feathers popped out causing both of them to freak out.
Cassandra was in a relationship with Apollo too, hiding under the name or Aiden. When Cassandra remembered her past life, she started pushing Apollo away because of the curse he put on her. Apollo has been deeply regretful of this ever since meeting her again and tried to make her love him while she still didn't remember so that he could make it up to her(?).
I'll give more details if this wasn't enough.
Today I noticed my young T. vagans's book lungs are a gross shade of dark yellow/green and appear slightly swollen. She hasn't eaten since late November so I assume she's in premolt. I don't know if this is normal or not and I can't find anything about it online. Has anyone else noticed this in their tarantulas? Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Super late edit (in case this reaches anyone frantically searching the internet for answers like I was): She ended up molting a week or two after I made this post and is doing fine.
Hi all, My dad has been diagnosed with Gleason 9, his cancer has spread to lymph nodes and lungs but somehow skipped bones. He is only 51. Heβs fit and active and weβre trying to keep his diet as healthy as possible. Heβs started hormone therapy and next week starts chemo. We only found out about his lungs last week and this has really shattered our world even more. If anyone has any experience with this stage of prostate cancer, Iβd really appreciate learning more from you please (when you were diagnosed, your quality of life, treatments, your view on all of this, etc). Just any insight that you could offer would really, really help. Thank you so much.
I also just wanted to ask, which books would you recommend for him to provide some hope/a way to cope?
Thank you so much everyone.
I read it in fourth grade I think, there were a couple of scenes about the teacher getting her lung fluid drained. Random things I remember are that the teacher had a lot of plants in her house, they played a game called elevator roulette, and they rolled down a big hill in central park. The teacher dies in the end and the two kids burry her in central park where a pipe was being dug up. I've been thinking about this book for months and I really want to re-read it, also I think it had a white cover but idk.
The main character is female, and the water surrounding the island is full of these spinning things that kill anyone who tries to escape
I'd share a picture like I sometimes do, but I am on my laptop. I would show the cbd gummies I bought because my high self thought vaping CBD would not be as good for the lungs as well. My high self still looks out for me to make better choices. I am eating a edible when I feel the crave to toke. I know I should feel it hard because its been a while since a good t break for me. I mean I used to be good at this. I know I can be again. I would go 1 to 2 months no contest and I weakened over the years. Wish luck this way and I send it back we all get by and I am glad I got these CBD gummies before we go out lock down.THC if only you weren' that expensive in thy products because man these CBD gummies were a steal price!
So for starters, either the book title or maybe just the passage that was read was called "The X Good Years", where X is a number that I can't remember though googling any number 1 through 10 hasn't resulted anything.
I heard this passage read on one of the local NPR stations I get and swap between listening to, either WGCU out of Fort Meyers, FL or WUSF out of Tampa, FL. Though the stations also frequently broadcast programs from the CBC and WGCU additionally broadcasts BBC shows on occasion. It was last week though I can't recall what day.
I'll talk about the passage itself in my obligatory comment below
So the story is from the viewpoint of the girl, who contracts/is susceptible to some lung disease/cancer which only affects younger people. She is sent to a boarding school like place with other people who are affected.
She falls in love with a boy whose in a similar situation but further along the line, not sure how long he'll last kind of thing.
Theres a whole thing about smoking and how they do it in spite of the disease in their lungs.
It ends with the girl heading out into the woods alone, running across the guy who sells them cigarettes, who then beats her up/leaves her to die.
The book is then from the perspective of the boy, who has to process the death of someone he loved. A cure was found soon after her death, and the teens were soon sent home.
It ends by jumping a few years forward. The boy has moved on from the girl, but she has still installed a sense of adventure in him. He heads to work via a different road, to experience the path less traveled.
I seem to remember it wasn't too long a book. It had a pale cover, and might have been hardback but I can't say for certain.
I was in my mid teens when I read this (8ish years ago, 2012). It came out about the time of The Fault in our Stars, and had a similar vibe. It was aimed at young adults, and came out around the time I read it
I read this book maybe around 2011 and there was a romance in it. Thanks!
