Boston Baked Beans

This is a joke that was told to me by a Boston Duck Boat tour guide. I was reminded of this joke because of today's Julian Date(240).

Why are there only 239 beans in every can of Boston Baked Beans?

Because if there was even 1 more, they'd be too fahty (bad Boston accent)

Piggybacked on the captain's dad joke.

Family and I went on a fancy boat tour of a local rich lake. The captain provided a running narrative over the intercom about the history of the houses, etc.

Captain: You'll notice all the piers look the same on the lake. There's no law governing that, everyone just agrees they should use the same color and materials. Some might call that "pier pressure."

Crowd: (groans)

Me: I think we need to dock him some points for that one...

Wife: (groans and pretends not to know me)

Paradise Island

I was just on vacation in the Bahamas and took a tour boat to Paradise Island. The guide told us it used to be called Hog Island because of all the pigs, but it wasn't a very attractive name.

To solve the hog problem so the island could be developed, the locals killed them all and had a giant barbeque.

One could say they went hog wild. I hear at the barbeque they really pigged out.
